Custom Luxury Foyer Interior Designs (Grand Entrance) In my view at the very least you want sufficient space for shoes, coats and perhaps some form of storage for guests’ bags, etc. (see mudroom lockers and foyer storage options here) A very popular home design element with foyers is to use the space for a staircase, which is smart because stairs take up quite a bit of space, they’re necessary and therefore the foyer becomes more functional. I prefer foyer designs that are more open so that you can see other parts of the home. Of course two-story foyers are nice with view of an upper landing – but these are typically found in luxury homes. Consequently you’ll many of these designs in this gallery since we mostly feature luxury homes… because luxury homes provide great inspiration for your renovation or home design. Too often a home’s entrance is ignored, and while I don’t suggest dedicating too much of your budget to your foyer, you can’t go wrong in making your front entrance a good design representative for the rest of your home.
