Maranello and the Ferrari Museum
Maranello is home to a legend: Ferrari! The Ferrari Museum isn't a normal museum at all, it is some kind of Ferrari "sanctuary", a veritable gallery where the exhibits alternate! Enzo Ferrari only looked to the future and he never kept any of the cars he made, the historical models here are owned by private collectors who loan them to the "Ferrari sanctuary". Enthusiasts travel here from all over

when I first saw the "Under the tucsan Sun trailer" I knew that I need to discover Toscana or Tuscany as the Italian folk says (Travel Channel Tuscany)... today after visiting Rome, Bologna, Genova, Sardinia, Florence, Verona, Venezia, Firenze, Pisa, Siena, Livorno, Padova, Viareggio, Lucca, Volterra, Chianti Barberino val de Elsa and San Gimignano ...so I decided to create this travel guide video for you! And I'm pretty excited to guide you through one of the most beautiful countries of Europe. In this video I introduce you Tuscany in Italy-The Charmed Land and the Dolce Vita Under the Tuscan Sun.
To sum up here are 10 things you should do in Tuscany:
1: sleep in a typical Tuscan Villa or Middle age like castle in Tuscany like "Villa Pitiana"
2: visit traditional italian cities like "Barberino val de Elsa" and enjoy the dolce vita
3: enjoy the view: like me in San Gimignano, Italy's Towering Hill Town
4: breath in the culture, make a guided tour in Florence (Firenze) and explore the Galleria dell Academia, make a walk on Piazza della Signoria and Palazzo Vecchio, check out the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore with the Baptistery, or discover the view from thr Campanile - Bell Tower. There are so many tourist attractions in Florence...you won't believe your eyes when crossing the Ponte Vecchio bridge. Oh and make sure to visit Boboli Garden and Pitti Palace formal seat of the Medici family. I fall in love with it as you can see in my video
5-6: Taste Tuscany: discover the Tuscan kitchen and delicious italian gastronomy. Tuscany Food and Wine Tours are famous...you should try tuscan receipts and attend a vine testing on the Tuscan hills..
7: Italy is the home of fast sport cars, like Maranello :Ferrari. My boyfriend chose to make a Lamborghini gallardo e-gear test.
8: Visit Pisa and take a photo holding the Pisa tower (Torre di Pisa)
9: Beach is waiting! If you are in Italy make sure to take some days to relax on the beach. We spent some time in Viareggio
10: realize that you need to come back to learn more about the 100 faces of Italy

Basilica dei Frari (Church of Santa Maria Gloriosa dei Frari)
The glorious gothic Church of Santa Maria Gloriosa dei Frari, constructed around 1330, is primarily associated with the name of Titian, Venice's painter son who is buried here, alongside the city's celebrated sculptor, Antonio Canova. Titian made his reputation and crowned his early years by painting the huge altar piece, The Assumption of the Virgin, for the Franciscan brothers of the Frari in 1518. Titian also executed the painting over the Pesaro family altar in the north aisle. The inclusion of the flag and Turk in the painting alludes to Bishop Pesaro's victory over the Turks at Santa Maura. Titian's tomb, located in the south aisle, faces the large marble pyramid created for Canova, depicting St Mark's lion paying homage to the dead sculptor. Ironically, the design, executed by Canova's pupils, was based on Canova's own plans for a new monument to Titian.
Opening Times: Mon-Sat 0900-1800, Sun 1300-1800.
Admission Fees: Yes
Disabled Access: Yes
Unesco: Yes
Address: San Polo 3072, Venice, Italy
Basilica di San Marco (St Mark's Basilica)
The golden Byzantine St Mark's Basilica was founded in the ninth century as a shrine for the relics of St Mark. Built on a plan of a Greek cross, its Eastern appearance is enhanced by golden mosaics, originally created by craftsmen from the Byzantine court at Ravenna. The interior houses many of Venice's greatest treasures, including the venerated icon of the Madonna Nicopeia. The golden screen behind the high altar - the crypt in which St Mark is supposed to be buried - is the Pala d'Oro, beautifully crafted with sapphires, emeralds and rubies and inset with enamels from Constantinople. Before leaving St Mark's, visitors should pause to admire the 12th-century pavement, a resplendent mosaic of glass and marble. It is possible to book online to avoid the long queues at www.venetoinside.com
Opening Times: Mon-Sat 0945-1700, Sun 1400-1700 (Apr-Oct); Mon-Sat 0945-1700, Sun 1400-1600 (Nov-Mar).
Admission Fees: Yes
Disabled Access: Yes
Unesco: Yes
Address: Piazza San Marco, Venice, Italy
Campanile di San Marco (Bell Tower)
The bell tower, which is located to one side of St Mark's Square, is the tallest structure in Venice and offers a unique view of this fabulous city. At 318 ft (97m) high, visitors prepared to make the lengthy climb can look out over the rooftops of the city. In a strange twist, the view from the top can be good enough on a clear day to catch a glimpse of the distant dolomites, but doesn't allow for a view of any of the canals. The tower collapsed in 1902 and was rebuilt exactly as before.
Opening Times: 0700-1545 (Nov-Apr) 0900-2100 (Jul-Sept).
Admission Fees: Yes
Disabled Access: No
Unesco: Yes
Address: Piazza San Marco, Venice, Italy

A racing helmet is a form of protective headgear worn by racing car and rally drivers. Motor racing has long been known to be an exceptionally risky sport: sudden deceleration forces on the head can easily occur if a racing car loses control at the very high speeds of competitive motor racing or the rough terrain experienced in rallying. A risk more nearly unique to motor racing is the possibility of drastically severe burns from fuel igniting when the fuel lines or fuel tank of the vehicle are jolted sufficiently to dislodge or breach them in a situation in which the driver cannot soon enough escape from his car. This happened to world champion driver Niki Lauda at the 1976 German Grand Prix race at the Nürburgring in a crash from which he barely escaped alive. It is known that the percentage of racing accidents resulting in hospitalisation in motor racing, at around 25 percent, is higher than any other major international sport and that the average period in hospital is the longest. A recent Australian study also suggests motor racing may have the highest rate of actual injury among major sports. However, a study conducted between 1996 and 2000 by Fuji Toranomon Orthopaedic Hospital in Shizuoka suggests that only a small proportion of these injuries are actually to the head or surrounding areas. Analogous to gridiron football, cloth or leather helmets with goggles to protect drivers’ eyes from dust were used by many pre-World War I racing drivers and already in 1914 the Auto Cycle Union made helmets compulsory for drivers of its racing vehicles. However, these helmets did nothing to prevent massive head injuries or burns during the numerous crashes encountered even when races were moved onto private tracks. In the period following the war, concern about head injuries in motor racing continued to grow much faster than efforts to design safer helmets. Some racing drivers in the 1920s and 1930s were known to wear football or fire-fighting helmets as these offered better protection than standard racing headdresses of the time. Despite the fact that hard-shell helmets were used in motorcycle racing during the 1930s, it was not until the 1950s that a hard-shell helmet specifically designed for motor racing emerged, and extremely soon after the first metal helmets were developed Formula One made helmets of this type compulsory for all drivers. NASCAR, however, did not make full-face helmets compulsory until after the death of Dale Earnhardt in 2001. Although helmets had been mandatory in other races beforehand, the new technology greatly improved safety and allowed the use of higher speeds. Bell Sports developed the first mass-produced auto racing helmet in 1954. By the end of the 1950s full face crash helmets were regarded as essential equipment for drivers in all forms of motor racing, and the Snell Memorial Foundation developed the first auto racing helmet standards in 1959. Since that time, the alternative standard to that of Snell has been that of the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile, whose standards are used in Grand Prix racing. The Safety Helmet Council of America also developed a race car helmet standard in the 1970s but currently only provides certification to the Department of Transportation which does not certify racing car helmets. Since racing helmets became general standard equipment, there have been many improvements made to their design to cope with the increases in power and speed of racing cars. The most recent of these has been the development of flexible “tethers” so that a head inside the helmet cannot snap forward or to the side during a wreck. In most respects, auto racing helmets are not dissimilar to motorcycle helmets in construction, since they have similar requirements of protecting against extremely high-speed collisions. Modern racing helmets have an outer shell of carbon fiber, an inner shell of thick polystyrene and padding which must be in contact with the wearer’s head. There are, however, several major differences that make the two types of helmets non-interchangeable:
motorcycle helmets do not need fire protection because at high speed the rider will fly far from a burning motorcycle. In contrast, auto racing helmets must have fire protection since a driver is not likely to be able to escape if a car catches fire. Auto racing helmets can have a narrower field of view for greater head protection than is possible in a motorcycle helmet, especially when the driver is following a clearly defined track. For this reason, many auto racing helmets are illegal to use on a motorcycle over public roads.
