Supreme (comics)

Supreme is a fictional superhero created by Rob Liefeld and published by Image Comics (1992–96 and 2012), followed by Maximum Press (1996–98), Awesome Entertainment (1999-2000) and Arcade Comics (2006). Although Supreme was originally a violent, egotistical Superman archetype, he was retooled by Alan Moore as a tribute to Mort Weisinger's Silver Age Superman.

The character had a 56-issue comic book series, Supreme: The Return #1-6, and a revival in 2012 with issues #63-68 (Supreme: The Return's six issue miniseries counting as issues #57-62). Beginning with issue #41, Moore's run was collected in two trade paperbacks from the Checker Book Publishing Group: Supreme: The Story of the Year and Supreme: The Return. Moore's work on the series earned him a Best Writer Eisner Award in 1997.

Supreme

Supreme was introduced in issue 3 of Rob Liefeld's Youngblood limited series as a flip book story, before he was spun off into his own series. His history varied; at one point, he was an angel of vengeance who quoted the Bible to justify his actions. At other times, such as when he defeated the Norse god Thor and took his mystical hammer Mjolnir, Supreme considered himself a god. Although the most powerful being in the Liefeld universe, he had his share of defeats: he was killed in the cross-title Deathmate Black series (published by Image and Valiant Comics), lost his powers in Extreme Prejudice, and was killed by Crypt in Extreme Sacrifice.

Supreme (clothing)

Supreme is a skateboarding shop/clothing brand established in New York City in April 1994.

The brand was originally founded by James Jebbia. Although he was born in the US, he lived in England from until he was nineteen. The first Supreme store opened on Lafayette Street in downtown Manhattan in 1994. It was designed with skaters in mind, with a unique design on the store layout; the clothes arranged around the outside of the store with a large space in the middle. This meant that skaters with backpacks on could skate right into the store, and still feel comfortable. In 2004, a store was opened on North Fairfax Ave in Los Angeles, California, which is almost double the size of the original New York store and also includes an indoor skate bowl. There are other stores in London, Tokyo (Harajuku, Daikanyama & Shibuya), Nagoya, Osaka, and Fukuoka. These modern stores still try to emulate the original Lafayette Street store design. In early July 2015, it emerged that a new store is under construction in Paris, France. The address is 20 Rue Barbette.

Candîce Hillebrand

Candice Hillebrand (also known as Candîce) (born 19 January 1977, Johannesburg, Transvaal, South Africa) is a South African-born actress and singer-songwriter. She has also worked as a presenter and model. She is recently known for playing Nina Williams in the 2010 Tekken live-action movie, based on the popular video game series, Tekken.

Career

Hillebrand's on-screen career started early in life by hosting South African children's television channel, KTV, at the age of 6. Hillebrand went on to appear in numerous commercials and has acted in both TV and film. In 2002, she signed with Musketeer Records and released her debut album, Chasing Your Tomorrows in 2003. She has also appeared in Maxim magazine.

In 2008, Hillebrand was offered the role of Nina Williams, a character in the film adaptation of the popular video game series, Tekken.

Hello (Adele song)

"Hello" is a song by English singer Adele. It was released on 23 October 2015 by XL Recordings as the lead single from her third studio album, 25 (2015). Adele co-wrote the song with her producer, Greg Kurstin. "Hello" is a piano ballad with soul influences, and lyrics that discuss themes of nostalgia and regret. Upon release, the song was well received by music critics, who compared it favourably to Adele's previous work and praised the song's lyrics and Adele's vocals.

"Hello" attained international commercial success reaching number one in almost every country it charted in, including the United Kingdom, where it became her second UK number-one single, following "Someone like You", and has the largest opening week sales in three years. In the United States, "Hello" debuted atop the Billboard Hot 100, becoming Adele's fourth number-one on the chart and breaking several records, including becoming the first song to sell over a million digital copies in a week.

The accompanying music video was directed by Xavier Dolan and co-stars Adele and Tristan Wilds. The music video for the song broke the Vevo Record by achieving over 27.7 million views within a 24-hour span, held previously by Taylor Swift's "Bad Blood" which accumulated 20.1 million views in that timeframe. It also broke the record for shortest time to attain 100 million Vevo views, previously held by Miley Cyrus' "Wrecking Ball", as well as shortest time to reach 1 billion YouTube views (88 days). Adele promoted the song with a live performance on a BBC one-hour special, entitled Adele at the BBC.

Hello (The Beloved song)

"Hello" is a remix single by The Beloved. "Hello" appears on the Happiness album. By peaking at #19 in the UK, on 5 January 1990, it was, at the time, their highest-charting single, a record it held for almost exactly 3 years, until "Sweet Harmony," the first single taken from the Conscience album, reached Number 8, on 18 January 1993, this way becoming the band's new highest-charting single, a record it still holds.

At least three additional remixes were exclusive to other formats: "Hello (Boys & Girls)" and "Hello (Uncle Arthur)" appeared on the 12-inch vinyl version, and "Hello (Dolly)" appeared on both the cassette and 7-inch versions. In addition, a Razormaid! remix of the song appeared on the Razormaid! Anniversary 9.0 compilation album. As for "Hello (What's All This Then?)" and "Hello (Honky Tonk)," two of the five remixes of the main title on the CD single release, they would both later resurface on the following Blissed Out remix album, the sister release to Happiness, the second remix only featuring on the CD and MC editions of the work, but not on the vinyl LP, which only contained the first. The MC edition only of Blissed Out also included "Paradise (My Darling, My Angel)," representing then previously unreleased sixth track on the "Hello" CD single.
