This is a fairly new product that’s on Kickstarter right now that definitely helps with the handling of our addiction to giant phones. The greatest strength of the Ungrip is the multitude of ways you can actually hold your iPhone. And also save you from getting phone face. Based on my time with the Ungrip, I’ve given it a score of 4.1 Eh’s when compared to other 1-handed iPhone accessories such as the Spigen Style Ring and the Flygrip. If you want to see all the other 1-handed and functional iPhone or android accessories that I’ve reviewed in the last while. At MobileReviewsEh, we base everything on on actual usage so when we get a small piece of plastic with a cloth loop, we’re going to do what any red-blooded human’s going to do. Twirl it on your finger! Right? or play iPhone Yo-Yo. In terms of design, the Ungrip attaches to your iPhone or Android device directly to the back or on a case. It uses a 3M adhesive that as you just saw will stay on. The strap portion is detachable and there is a multitude of different colors that you could accessorize your iPhone with. There is an attachment point for a wrist strap that goes through both the strap and bumper The entire setup is quite simple but don’t let the simplicity discount how much better your iPhone will handle with an Ungrip. Unlike other products that are a little more rigid, the cloth strap allows you to hold your safely in a multitude of different ways so you can ensure that your iPhone stays in your hand when you need to view that Facebook cat video in fullscreen. One of my buddies said that he felt comfortable not having a case on his iPhone because the only times he’d drop it was when he was walking around so being able to attach the iPhone to his hand ensured that got to keep his iPhone slim and sleek. Minus the plastic nub on the back which you don’t really notice. For me, there are two areas where Ungrip shines. I notice the Ungrip the most when shooting photos or videos. Capturing Monty on the fly is a difficult thing to do so knowing that my giant iPhone 6s Plus allows me to focus a little more on capturing the little ragamuffin when he’s doing something stupidly cute or funny. Secondly, it prevents phone face. Phone face is a pretty serious thing because it hurts. And lets not fool ourselves. Everybody has done it. Everybody has WTFBBQPWNed their face while using your device while lying down. Let me know if you have by giving this video a thumbs up. The last time a Phone faced myself, was yesterday afternoon when I was lying on my back playing Medal masters. Now I’ve spent most of this video saying how awesome this product is and it wouldn’t be MobileReviewsEh review video if I didn’t talk about the cons about this product. I did find that an iPhone with an Ungrip getting caught on the middle knuckle of the finger in the strap. Now, this is a tiny annoyance that unless you’re me and have used a bunch of different 1-handed products, won’t notice. The Ungrip also doesn’t function as a stand which is something other products can do. But all-in-all, if you’re looking for something to ensure that your iPhone stays in your hand, consider getting an Ungrip.
