Anarchic early Much Music game show hosted by that wild and crazy guy Dan Gallagher
This talk was given at a local TEDx event, produced independently of the TED Conferences. Dan Gallagher, Senior Vice President, Strategic Growth Initiatives, Comcast-Spectacor, discusses slowing yourself down in order to speed yourself up. Mr. Gallagher addresses three main patterns in self-awareness: followership, having a voice, and living “the magis” way of life.
Dan Gallagher has twenty years of leadership and organizational development experience within leading corporate and academic institutions.
Since 2000, Dan has worked at Comcast, with 13 of those years at Comcast University in several leadership roles in high potential development and training across the company. He is now the Senior Vice President, Strategic Growth Initiatives at Comcast-Spectacor.
Dan has a bachelor’s degree in sociology and a master’s degree in organizational development and leadership from Saint Joseph’s University.
Dan served as president of the Philadelphia Society for Human Resource Management, has lectured at Harvard University and University of Pennsylvania and is an active leader in his community.
In 2012 he published The Self-Aware Leader of which all proceeds will go to City Year. Dan currently sits on Advisory Boards with City Year and the National League of Cities.
Dan lives in suburban Philadelphia with his wife and four sons.

Here's Testament on MuchMusic's Power Hour with Dan Gallagher hosting from 1990! This is an EXCELLENT interview, it's only a piece of the interview, because the whole show is 1 full hour long with commercials included, and Suicidal Tendencies is at the beginning of the show. So this show (originally) on my DVD is Suicidal Tendencies and Testament on Power Hour.
In this interview, it's Chuck and Louie, and Chuck explains how that the MTV (which would also include the VH1 Classic copy) version of the video for The Ballad is CENSORED. So those of us who have only seen the U.S. version of the video for The Ballad have been missing some scenes of Chuck drowning in the water. This interview actually includes the WHOLE music video, totally uncensored!
Why did MTV/VH1 censor the video? Because (as Chuck explains) MTV assumed that the scenes of Chuck drowning in the water was symbolic for suicide, so they chopped it up, which is a shame, because for years I assumed that I had the (regular) uncensored copy of the video. I never knew it was censored to begin with.
I did find it odd that I felt like something was missing, or different from the MTV/VH1 copies, because the first ever copy of the video I had when I was a kid was an old copy from M3 (France) with terrible audio. So it's nice to finally know the difference today, and to have it explained in detail as well.
Sorry I couldn't post this entire show, I am working on cleaning up a TON of RARE music videos and TV/Interview footage that is not on youtube, or even so much as mentioned anywhere else!
So I will have much, much more up in high quality soon.

His woodcarving courses have proved popular with people from the Port Perry area and have motivated many to take up the craft as a hobby, and his stunningly beautiful hand crafted Adirondack guideboats remain true to their highly refined design which goes back to the late 19th century.

Dan Gallagher (May 14, 1957 - January 20, 2001) was a Canadian broadcaster who hosted the CBC Television music video program Video Hits from 1991 to 1993. In the 1980s he appeared on the Canadian music channel MuchMusic as a VJ and host of the Pepsi Power Hour. In 1990 he hosted the game show Test Pattern on the station. He also guest-starred on the Canadian comedy show The Kids in the Hall.
He later hosted beach volleyball games on TSN, and was a featured contributor for Hockey Night in Canada
Dan attended L'Amoreaux Collegiate Institute in Scarborough in the mid 1970s and founded an in school radio station, Radio L'Am along with several other like minded friends. He also was active in student council activities.
Dan was a DJ at the Bullring, a pub on the campus of the University of Guelph.
In 1989, Dan Gallagher starred in the obscure low-budget horror anthology, Freakshow.
In 1991 Dan Gallagher was the in-stadium host of Toronto Argonauts football games at the SkyDome; he worked with a sidekick named Luc Casimiri.

Mr. Gallagher addresses three main patterns in self-awareness: followership, having a voice, and living “the magis” way of life.
Dan Gallagher has twenty years of leadership and organizational development experience within leading corporate and academic institutions.
Since 2000, Dan has worked at Comcast, with 13 of those years at Comcast University in several leadership roles in high potential development and training across the company. He is now the Senior Vice President, Strategic Growth Initiatives at Comcast-Spectacor.
Dan has a bachelor’s degree in sociology and a master’s degree in organizational development and leadership from Saint Joseph’s University.
Dan served as president of the Philadelphia Society for Human Resource Management, has lectured at Harvard University and University of Pennsylvania and is an active leader in his community.

Here's Testament on MuchMusic's Power Hour with Dan Gallagher hosting from 1990! This is an EXCELLENT interview, it's only a piece of the interview, because the whole show is 1 full hour long with commercials included, and Suicidal Tendencies is at the beginning of the show. So this show (originally) on my DVD is Suicidal Tendencies and Testament on Power Hour.
In this interview, it's Chuck and Louie, and Chuck explains how that the MTV (which would also include the VH1 Classic copy) version of the video for The Ballad is CENSORED. So those of us who have only seen the U.S. version of the video for The Ballad have been missing some scenes of Chuck drowning in the water. This interview actually includes the WHOLE music video, totally uncensored!
Why did MTV/VH1 censor the video? Because (as Chuck explains) MTV assumed that the scenes of Chuck drowning in the water was symbolic for suicide, so they chopped it up, which is a shame, because for years I assumed that I had the (regular) uncensored copy of the video. I never knew it was censored to begin with.
I did find it odd that I felt like something was missing, or different from the MTV/VH1 copies, because the first ever copy of the video I had when I was a kid was an old copy from M3 (France) with terrible audio. So it's nice to finally know the difference today, and to have it explained in detail as well.
Sorry I couldn't post this entire show, I am working on cleaning up a TON of RARE music videos and TV/Interview footage that is not on youtube, or even so much as mentioned anywhere else!
So I will have much, much more up in high quality soon.
