Ping An (Chinese: 中国平安; pinyin: Zhōngguó Píng Ān), full name Ping An Insurance (Group) Company of China, Ltd. is a holding company whose subsidiaries mainly deal with insurance, banking, and financial services. The company was founded in 1988 and has its headquarters in Shenzhen and Shanghai.

Ping An Insurance group is the holding company of Ping An Life Insurance Company of China, Ltd. and Ping An Property & Casualty Insurance Company of China, Ltd. It also controls China Ping An Insurance Overseas (Holdings) Limited and Ping An Trust & Investment Co., Ltd. Ping An Insurance Overseas, located in Hong Kong, is a second holding company for subsidiary companies located outside of China.

Ping An Trust & Investment has the subsidiaries of Ping An Securities and Ping An Bank.

Ping An began as only a casualty insurance company. Since the mid-1990s Ping An has been diversifying into financial services from its core business of insurance and began taking investments from overseas firms. Ping An accepted investments from Morgan Stanley and Goldman Sachs in 1994. In 2002 HSBC took a large equity interest in Ping An. In early 2008, Ping An agreed to take a 50% share in Fortis Investments, which had taken over ABN AMRO Asset Management as a result of the split up of ABN Amro in late 2007, but the deal was cancelled in October 2008.

The Voice of China

The Voice of China (Chinese: 中国好声音; pinyin: Zhōngguó Hǎo Shēngyīn) is a Chinese reality talent show that premiered on 13 July 2012 on Zhejiang Television channel of the ZRTG network sponsored by Jiaduobao. Program recording was done at East China Normal University in Shanghai.

The series is part of the The Voice franchise and is based on Dutch program The Voice of Holland. The deal was brokered by IPCN Ltd, a London and Shanghai based media company that is specifically focusing on the Chinese media market.

Format

The series consists of three main phases: a blind audition, a battle phase, and live performance shows. The four judges / coaches choose teams of contestants through a blind audition process. Each judge has the length of the auditioner's performance to decide if he or she wants that singer on his or her team. If two or more judges want the same singer (as happens frequently), the singer has the final choice of coach.

Each team of singers is mentored and developed by its respective coach. In the second stage, called the battle phase, coaches have two of their team members battle against each other directly by singing the same song together, with the coach choosing which team member to advance from each of individual "battles" into the first live round. Within that first live round, the surviving four acts from each team again compete head-to-head, with public votes determining the best of four acts from each team that will advance to the final eight, while the coach chooses which of the remaining three acts comprises the other performer remaining on the team.

Immortal Songs

Immortal Songs (Hangul: 불후의 명곡; RR: Bulhu-ui Myeong-gok) was a South Korean television music program presented by Tak Jae-hoon, Shin Jung-hwan and Kim Sung-eun. It aired as part of Happy Sunday.

Season 1

The first season of Immortal Songs was co-hosted by former Country Kko Kko partners Shin Jung-hwan and Tak Jae-hoon. Although the show initially had various co-hosts, Kim Sung-eun became the final permanent host alongside Shin and Tak. The special guest for the week is their "vocal coach," usually a famous Korean singer, although sometimes record producers and composers have appeared as the special guest. During the course of the show, the special guest's top singles (as voted by netizens) are revealed and the "students" must sing karaoke-style. At the end of the show, the best singer/student is chosen by the special guest and receives a special prize. This segment started from Kim Won-joon's episode where he brought in presents on his own accord. The show has typically showcased older singers from the past who may or may not be still active in the entertainment industry, including Lee Seung-chul and Kim Heung-gook. However they have also had episodes featuring more recent artists, including S.E.S., in recognition of their 10th anniversary since debut, as well as Sung Si-kyung just before he left for military service in July 2008. This show aired its final episode on September 14, 2008 and was replaced by Kko Kko Tours Single♥Single.
