All u need is a working OHP projector and 15" LCD monitor, with a very min technical knowledge u can do this.

I love this TRONFY 1080p DIGITAL LED PROJECTOR! It is a truly solid product in a small package that is truly affordable.

First off... I think this projector does a really good job at what its designed to do... and that is to project images onto a screen at a high resolution. And this projector does that.
I use this projector perfectly with my Google Chromecast dongle. It takes about 30 seconds to get setup, and I am watching Netflix on a wall in my house at about 100 inches. All you need to do is to adjust the focus, and adjust the viewing angle. Both very easy to do.
There is also a very comprehensive menu system in this LED projector, so you can tweak settings as needed to get a picture you want.
This projector has a output of 1000 Lumens. This is just fine for a home environment with the lights off in the room. Which is how I tend to watch movies anyway. So again, no issues with this box.
There are multiple input sources for you to get your video on the screen. Again, I easily use a Chromecast dongle. Sound on this projector is OK, and you can add a external speaker if desired.
The remote control is great, and is very responsive. It makes setting up the menus much easier.
All in all a really good product for under a $100 bucks!

While many were wowed at CES 2015 for products like the G Flex 2 from LG, my biggest surprise came from my visit to ZTE, and now we get to take it out for a spin as we unbox the ZTE SPro 2. If you're asking yourself why you would want to buy a digital projector powered by Android, I'm about to spend a week showing you why in our final review coming very soon.
For now, let's talk about the box, which coming from AT&T; is sadly not saying much. AT&T; is already infamous for making any unboxing experience dull, or stripping away accessories to a maximum, but unboxing the ZTE SPro 2 was not that bad.

First off... I think this projector does a really good job at what its designed to do... and that is to project images onto a screen at a high resolution. And this projector does that.
I use this projector perfectly with my Google Chromecast dongle. It takes about 30 seconds to get setup, and I am watching Netflix on a wall in my house at about 100 inches. All you need to do is to adjust the focus, and adjust the viewing angle. Both very easy to do.
There is also a very comprehensive menu system in this LED projector, so you can tweak settings as needed to get a picture you want.
This projector has a output of 1000 Lumens. This is just fine for a home environment with the lights off in the room. Which is how I tend to watch movies anyway. So again, no issues with this box.
There are multiple input sources for you to get your video on the screen. Again, I easily use a Chromecast dongle. Sound on this projector is OK, and you can add a external speaker if desired.
The remote control is great, and is very responsive. It makes setting up the menus much easier.
All in all a really good product for under a $100 bucks!

When you look for really cheap projectors they are easy to find. Search "cheap projectors" on Amazon and many unheard of brands like Digital Galaxy, Fugetek, and Paramount will pop up, all touting HD 1080P projectors that put out lots of lumens with 20,000 hour LED lamps, many for under $200. They are hard to miss.
Everyone instinctively knows they will get hosed if they buy allegedly high-performance projectors at low-ball prices. But just how bad are these models? If the Amazon user ratings are to be believed, a lot of customers seem to be quite happy with them--lots of 4 and 5 star ratings. Do these projectors really give you decent home theater on the cheap?
To be honest, we'd never looked at them until now. They are made by vendors who would never send them out for professional review. So we ordered three of them on Amazon from three different brands and put them through our normal testing procedures. Our overall take is as follows:

Outdoor movie nights seem like a great idea until you start to set one up and realize you need a really long power cord, a power strip, some cables to connect some kind of speaker system to the projector, and wait a second ... do we have to drag a DVD player out here too? It's enough to make you give up on the idea. You know, they should really come up with an all-in-one device that makes outdoor movie nights super easy.
Good news: They have.
"They" is a company called Dashbon and the device is called Flicks, a conveniently portable Bluetooth boombox with a projector built right in and all the necessary connections to make flinging a flick on a white sheet, garage door, or inflatable screen about as easy as you could ask for.

Welcome back to Tested By Pixel Movers, today we test the UNIC UC50 Pocket Micro LED DLP Projector. It's a very small LED Projector with 30,000 lamp life and has an internal battery that will last 1.5 hours. It will take a Full HDMi, USB pen Drive, SD Card inputs and can be charged from USB or Mains. You can add an external USB battery pack for extra life and it will project up to 40 feet in a dark room. It's not HD but is pretty watchable and great for taking on holiday or round to a friends house. For the price it's pretty amazing. Tested with MKV movie on USB STICK and ATMOSFX Halloween Haunt video decorations. Only drawbacks found: It's not HD but the picture is pretty good with 1080p encodes. That's it guys, I have built an ultimate budget home cinema. GM60 1000 lm LED projector from Gearbest.com is great for watching movies, tv shows, etc. You can plug your PC, Android TV box, Chromecast or anything you want through built in HDMI port. However it's noisy, too dim to view in daytime and resolution is only 800x480, so it's uncomfortable to read very small text. Teardown: Broken Ebay Android LED death projector
Teardown of a really, really Chinese LCD projector. I know next to nothing about the origins of this piece of magnificent electro-thermoptic engineering, save for the shipping sticker stating its import value and country of origin, and the fact that it's broken. It came in for repairs, but we quickly deduced that it was not a good idea to repair the device due to it being entirely unsafe to use. According to the previous owner, it lasted for two daily hours of use during a year and a half, so if we assume that that's a severe understatement (as it always is), it probably ran about twice that, and as such likely lasted a whopping 2000 hours or so before exploding its LED. Atempted Projector Repair
After getting hold of a cheap but broken projector on eBay I decided to try and fix it, it didn't turn out well! The projector reports a fan fault but there are no obvious failures with any of the fans in the system and no PCB damage near any of the fan connectors. This will be going away until I can come up with any other ideas or a use for the parts. -

Welcome back to Tested By Pixel Movers, today we test the UNIC UC50 Pocket Micro LED DLP Projector. It's a very small LED Projector with 30,000 lamp life and has an internal battery that will last 1.5 hours. It will take a Full HDMi, USB pen Drive, SD Card inputs and can be charged from USB or Mains. You can add an external USB battery pack for extra life and it will project up to 40 feet in a dark room. It's not HD but is pretty watchable and great for taking on holiday or round to a friends house. For the price it's pretty amazing.
Tested with MKV movie on USB STICK and ATMOSFX Halloween Haunt video decorations.
Only drawbacks found:
It's not HD but the picture is pretty good with 1080p encodes.
Can't decode Dolby and DTS signals so you'll need to reconvert movies to work with audio through the unit. That said if you use a powered HDMi splitter an external amp could handle the audio.
There is no Keystoning so you need to project level to the screen you are using. This is a shame and something I'm hoping they can rectify in a software update.
VERDICT:
Amazing little gadget for the price and hopefully the price will drop over the next few months. Shame about the lack of keystone as this is something that needs to be on every projector. Also the Dolby DTS decode issue is only a problem if listening to the sound from the internal speaker or external speaker or headphones attached to the UC50. Brilliant little gadget that's wowed everyone I've shown it to. A movie theatre in your pocket and great for digital decorating too.

GM60 1000 lm LED projector from Gearbest.com is great for watching movies, tv shows, etc. You can plug your PC, Android TV box, Chromecast or anything you want through built in HDMI port. However it's noisy, too dim to view in daytime and resolution is only 800x480, so it's uncomfortable to read very small text.
For the price I am happy to recommend for anyone who doesn't want to spend too much on a projector.

Teardown of a really, really Chinese LCD projector.
I know next to nothing about the origins of this piece of magnificent electro-thermoptic engineering, save for the shipping sticker stating its import value and country of origin, and the fact that it's broken. It came in for repairs, but we quickly deduced that it was not a good idea to repair the device due to it being entirely unsafe to use.
According to the previous owner, it lasted for two daily hours of use during a year and a half, so if we assume that that's a severe understatement (as it always is), it probably ran about twice that, and as such likely lasted a whopping 2000 hours or so before exploding its LED.
SPOILER ALERT: It isn't going back together.

I have three short films in post-production, we're very close to finishing them all so now I have to take the Premiere Screening night in to consideration. I'm hiring a 98 year old picture house in Leeds for the event. The great thing is they have a 2K cinema projector working from a Dolby DCP Server.

After getting hold of a cheap but broken projector on eBay I decided to try and fix it, it didn't turn out well!
The projector reports a fan fault but there are no obvious failures with any of the fans in the system and no PCB damage near any of the fan connectors. This will be going away until I can come up with any other ideas or a use for the parts.
