Singapore! aka Disneyland with the death penalty. I arrived in Singapore on the day of the Chinese New Year (or the lunar new year) and spent a wonderful 2 days exploring all that Singapore had to offer.
Here are my top 5 tips on what to expect when going to Singapore:
1) $$$$$ Singapore is expensive! With a population on 5.4 million people on the incredibly developed island country, Singapore receives approximately 15 million visitors a year. Needless to say it is dependent on other countries for it's survival and the large island itself very modern, but expect prices to be high. Try not to fall for tourists traps (they are everywhere!) Go to China town or little India to find cheaper deals. In China town you can find postcards for 50 cents verses the 2 USD in most other shops around tourists areas. It even costs money to go down to the beach…they'll try to have you spend money in anyway that they can to help boost their economy.
2) Singapore is incredibly touristy and crowded. Because of the number of visitors a year, Singapore depends greatly on its tourism to survive so expect a lot of other tourists, particularly Indian and Chinese tourists. It's the Hawaii of Asia.
3) Singapore has strict laws. VERY strict laws and it enforces them to a T. The punishment for crimes such as drug use and selling drugs is death. In addition, they care a lot about keeping Singapore clean, so things such as littering and vandalism come with punishments such as caning. Meaning you'll be beaten with a rod…just be respectful and you should be fine!
4) Singapore is a "fine" city. You will not be sent to jail for chewing gum as it is rumored but you can have a large nasty fine placed on you. This is what makes Singapore a "fine" city, both because it's fine as in it's an okay city, but also fine because of fines that can be racked up on you. Speeding, j-walking, littering…don't do it in Singapore. However, the plus side is that Singapore is very, very clean and safe. It's one of the safest cities in the world.
5) It's HOT, and humid. Singapore is near the equator and the humidity is very similar to Hawaii so make sure to dress in a way that you will be comfortable. Thankfully it's so safe you can "dress like a slut and no one will bother you" said my humorous Singapore guide.

Ho Chi Minh City
Ho Chi Minh City, on the southern tip of Vietnam, is one of South East Asia’s emerging boom cities. Still affectionately known by many as Saigon, this is Vietnam’s largest city and its economic engine room.
Ho Chi Minh City has an irrepressible soul and an entrepreneurial energy that hums day and night. Despite almost a century of colonialism and brutal conflict, today this city is renowned for its warm hospitality, which even extends to former foes. A youthful enthusiasm flows through this city, just like the stream of scooters, motorbikes and cars that flow endlessly through its chaotic streets.
In Ho Chi Minh City, it feels as though the future has arrived… and yet the past is never far away. Wide boulevards built during the French colonial era are lined with cutting edge skyscrapers, while jasmine scented temples gently rub shoulders with chic rooftop bars
More than 9 million people call Ho Chi Minh City home and the dynamic energy of its streets is part of its charm. The city is divided into a series of numbered districts and District One is where almost all of the city’s main attractions can be found.
As the sun goes down, find yourself a seat at one of Ho Chi Minh City’s famous rooftop bars, a perfect way to soak up the buzz of the city.
Dynamic, chaotic and energizing. Ho Chi Minh city may have burst onto the world stage as a battle zone but today, there is no better destination to plug in to the pulse of 21st century Asia.

Singapore in Travel
Singapore ( officially the Republic of Singapore, is a sovereign city-state and island country in Southeast Asia. It lies off the southern tip of the Malay Peninsula and is 137 kilometres (85 mi) north of the equator. The country's territory consists of the diamond-shaped main island, commonly referred to as Singapore Island in English and Pulau Ujong in Malay, and more than 60 significantly smaller islets.[8] Singapore is separated from Peninsular Malaysia by the Straits of Johor to the north, and from Indonesia's Riau Islands by the Singapore Strait to the south. The country is highly urbanised, and little of the original vegetation remains. The country's territory has consistently expanded through land reclamation.
The islands were settled in the second century AD and subsequently belonged to a series of local empires. Modern Singapore was founded in 1819 by Sir Stamford Raffles as a trading post of the East India Company with permission from the Johor Sultanate. The British obtained sovereignty over the island in 1824, and Singapore became one of the British Straits Settlements in 1826. Occupied by the Japanese during World War II, Singapore became independent from the United Kingdom in 1963 and united with other former British territories to form Malaysia, from which it was expelled two years later through a unanimous act of parliament. Since then, Singapore has developed rapidly, earning recognition as one of the Four Asian Tigers.

Niagara Falls has long been a symbol of natural power and beauty. Visit this hallmark of Canadian and American tourism and see its majesty from a helicopter, boat, or walkway.
Your Niagara Falls tour begins with a little bit of information: more than six million cubic feet of water spill over the sides per minute. You can explore three waterfalls, the most famous being the Canadian Horseshoe Falls, which are the widest and most powerful. Take a half-hour boat cruise and bask in the falls’ mist, or enter a special set of walkways behind the falls and see the strength and might of the rushing water right in front of you.
No Niagara Falls sightseeing trip is complete without exploring the Botanical Gardens or Niagara on the Lake. The latter attraction offers boutiques, eateries, and picturesque views of the water you won’t soon forget.

This video is a reflection of my personal experience with travel anxiety. Having a curious mind and adventurous heart are two things that I think everyone should be able to experience freely, whether traveling or not. There is no one "right" way to deal with anxiety, or life in general. The important thing is to try, one small step at a time. Getting through something is much more powerful than getting over it, and guess what? I believe in YOU! You are awesome. You are wonderful. You are loved. Everything is going to be okay.

Iguazu Falls is located at the junction of three nations: Brazil, Argentina, and Paraguay. These “Great Waters,” as named by the indigenous Guarani people, are made up of 275 waterfalls that span nearly 2 miles. Sorry, Niagara!
Any Iguazu Falls tour will provide you with a sense of nature’s power and wonder. You can follow a boardwalk trail and take in the majestic, roaring falls from a safe vantage point…or, if you feel daring, a platform above the falls. Look down, but hang on to the railing—that’s a lot of water pouring beneath you.
Don’t mind getting wet? Take a speedboat safari beneath the falls and enjoy the spray. Prefer to stay dry? A helicopter ride over the falls might be for you. From up high, the falls form a tremendous chasm in the surface of the earth, further solidifying the fact that this area is one of nature’s great wonders.
Surrounding the Falls are the two Iguazu National Parks, one located in Brazil, the other in Argentina. The parks are home to beautiful rainforest full of exotic creatures, like wild cats, reptiles, and 400 species of birds and butterflies. There’s far too much here to see in a day, so plan an extended visit to Iguazu. You can even stay the night in the national park and see more of it in the morning.
