The Measuring, Reporting and Verification (
MRV) of Nationally Appropriate
Mitigation Actions (NAMAs) is important for many reasons -- for tracking and reporting the impact of NAMAs on
GHG emissions, sustainable development, and poverty reduction; to ensure transparency and credibility; and to track accountability of support. Although some aspects of MRV will be common across all sectors, each sector also has its own specific complexities. In this context, the LECB Programme held a series of webinars to deep dive into the sector specifics.
In this 60-minute webinar, participants will be introduced to the key considerations of MRV for agriculture NAMAs by the
Food & Agriculture Organization, as well as experiences from
Costa Rica on two agriculture NAMAs -- one focused on crops and one focused on livestock.
