Guy Damien "The Flower" / "Le Démon Blond" Lafleur, OC, CQ (born September 20, 1951) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey player who was the first player in the National Hockey League (NHL) to score 50 goals and 100 points in six straight seasons. Between 1971 and 1991, he played for the Montreal Canadiens, New York Rangers and Quebec Nordiques in an NHL career spanning 17 seasons, and five Stanley Cup championships (all 5 with the Canadiens).
Lafleur started playing hockey at the age of five after receiving his first hockey stick as a Christmas present. In his teens, Lafleur gained considerable recognition for his play as a member of the Quebec Remparts of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League, where he led his team to the Memorial Cup in 1971, scoring 130 regular season goals. At the time, Lafleur idolized Jean Béliveau and Bobby Orr.
The Habs' general manager, Sam Pollock, was keen to find a way to trade to obtain the first overall pick in the 1971 amateur draft. He persuaded California Golden Seals owner Charlie Finley to trade the Seals' 1971 first-round pick and François Lacombe in return for Montreal's 1970 first-round pick and veteran Ernie Hicke. However, late in the 1970-71 season the Los Angeles Kings were in last place overall. The Kings were in danger of "beating" the Seals out for last place, and if this happened Pollock would lose his first overall pick. Pollock traded the aging Ralph Backstrom to the Kings for two players. Backstrom's presence lifted the Kings out of last place, and the Seals finished at the bottom, granting the Habs the first pick. Pollock hesitated between Lafleur and Marcel Dionne, but chose Lafleur with the first draft choice.

Plot: It's Vancouver, 1975. Yuko, a 25-year-old Japanese immigrant woman, is trapped in an empty, stilted marriage; she can't speak the language well; and she lives much of her new life in isolation. Her stagnant life is shaken up when she encounters a group of boys playing street hockey. They present her with the hockey card of her soon to be talisman -- a card of the Montreal Canadiens' star winger, Guy Lafleur. Yuko learns of a contest at a local store where the winner gets to meet the hockey star. She befriends Gord, the store manager, who coincidentally worships Lafleur. Determined to win the contest, Yuko gets a job at the store and begins a journey to find her way to Lafleur, and ultimately, herself.
Genres: Drama, Short,A small decrepit seed is in my hand
That reminds me of your face
Do you still have the other one?
I hope you didn't throw it away
They said that you are more than I deserve
But you said to me you like my smirk
When I washed my face, you kissed me out of the blue
And I gazed upon you to sing like this
Tell me my darling! Why do you love me? Da na na na na na na
I'm so ugly. What a pity! Da na na na na na na
A small decrepit seed is in my hand
That's telling me my face
Do you still make a wish to it?
I hope you didn't smash it up
Someday the pit will sprout up in the sky
Then you'll say to me you like my smack
When the flowers are out, I'll kiss you out of the blue
