Kim Sherman tells her PCOS story and how she overcame symptoms of PCOS naturally in this interview with Robin Nielsen. Robin: Start from the very beginning of your PCOS journey. When did you recognize that there were some symptoms for you that just weren't good? Kim: You know, probably right around puberty at fifteen years old when I started to have my period and stuff. One of the big symptoms was weight gain. As a child and a youth, I was pretty average in my weight. When fourteen, fifteen, sixteen hit, I really gained a lot of weight. That was really one of the biggest signs that brought me to the doctor. Why was it happening so rapidly. That was probably one of the biggest ones, is weight gain. Robin: Then, did you do anything about it? I'm sure you were so discouraged, so tell us how you were feeling when that was happening for you? What feelings came up? Kim: I was just really confused. I dealt a lot with depression and anxiety and just a lot of emotional stuff during middle school and high school. I was really confused about what my body was doing. Along with the weight gain, of course, the symptoms of unwanted hair growth, and irregular periods started coming. That's what brought me to the doctor. Of course, they prescribed birth control. It was the first medication they put me on. Robin: I don't really know your path with Insulite. Did you purchased the Insulite System or did you join the Freedom from PCOS program first? Kim: God's timing, I believe, was really on my side. It was right when you were offering the eight week Freedom From PCOS class. I signed up for that and of course, the nutrients came with it, yeah. obin: It really is a jump start program. It really gets some good patterns into place. Tell us your journey since you started the Freedom From PCOS program? From the very beginning. From day one what were you thinking and what was starting to happen for you? Kim: You know what, I was excited. I really was. I went through all the reviews and I read the testimonials of all the the changes that other women had. I was really excited and I was nervous of course, since trying almost everything else and having no results. I wasn't skeptical but I was nervous. When I started taking the nutrients and stuff, I was okay the first couple of weeks. I really didn't see a whole lot of changes. But when I changed my eating, when I cut out the dairy and meat, I really saw a big change. Robin: Yeah, wow! Can you share with us some of the changes that have happened for you over this past ... well it would be about ... two months? We're coming up on the eighth week of the program next week, so this week is seven weeks. You probably started the nutrients a little bit before. What have you noticed? Kim: I have released twelve pounds and so that's one of the biggest physical changes that I have seen. I feel better. My anxiety has gone down. I still deal with it but it has gone down. I have recognized my cravings have slowly gone away. They really have. I was a big coffee drinker. I had to have my coffee. People knew when I do not have my coffee and now I haven't had coffee for about a month, I think. That's a true sign of change for me. It really is. Robin: It's kind of like the "rules are the rules" and you can break them all you want, but then you won't get there, right? Kim: No. You won't get the results and you can feel the changes when you go back to what you were doing before. I just remember how I felt before and how I feel now and there's no reason to go back. Robin: You released twelve pounds. You have more energy. You don't have to have coffee to function everyday. It's awesome! Kim: Yes it is! Honestly, when saw the price tag of the whole system, I was kind of shocked. But I really thought to myself... "am I worth it?" and I am! That was another big, big hurdle that I had to overcome and so if that's something that you're worried about or that's something that's stopping you from buying into the program, really look at yourself and ask yourself... "are you're worth it?"
