F Troop is a satirical American television sitcom about U.S. soldiers and American Indians in the Wild West during the 1860s that originally aired for two seasons on ABC. It debuted in the United States on September 14, 1965 and concluded its run on April 6, 1967 with a total of 65 episodes. The first season of 34 episodes was broadcast in black-and-white, the second season in color.
The series relied heavily on character-based humor; verbal and visual gags, slapstick, physical comedy and burlesque comedy make up the prime ingredients of F Troop. The series played fast and loose with historical events and persons, and often parodied them for comical effect. There were some indirect references made to the culture of the 1960s such as a "Playbrave Club" (a parody of a Playboy Club) and imitations of rock and roll bands (including singing songs written in the 1960s).
F Troop is set at Fort Courage — a fictional United States Army outpost in the Old West—from just at the end of the American Civil War in 1865 to at least 1867. There is a town of the same name adjacent to the fort. Fort Courage was named for fictitious General Sam Courage (portrayed by Cliff Arquette), who has been in the Army for forty years. The fort itself is in the stockade style stereotypically found in most American westerns.
Fort Lee may refer to:
A troop is a military sub-subunit, originally a small formation of cavalry, subordinate to a squadron. In many armies a troop is the equivalent element to the infantry section or platoon. Exceptions are the Royal Horse Artillery and the US Cavalry, where troops are subunits that compare to an infantry company or artillery battery.
A cavalry soldier of private rank is called a trooper in many Commonwealth armies (abbreviated "Tpr", not to be confused with "trouper").
A related sense of the term "troops" refers to members of the military collectively, as in "the troops"; see Troop (disambiguation).
In some countries, like Italy, the company-level cavalry unit is called "Squadron".
Today, a troop is defined differently in different armed forces.
In the Australian Army a troop is the equivalent of a platoon sized element in units of certain corps, those being:
Lawrence Samuel "Larry" Storch (born January 8, 1923) is an American actor best known for his comic television roles, including voice-over work for cartoon shows, such as Mr. Whoopee on Tennessee Tuxedo and His Tales, and his live-action role of the bumbling Corporal Randolph Agarn on F Troop.
Storch was born in New York City, a son of Alfred Storch, a Realtor, and his wife Sally (Kupperman) Storch, a telephone operator. He attended DeWitt Clinton High School in the Bronx with Don Adams, who remained his lifelong friend. Storch never graduated from high school because of hard times in the Great Depression, instead finding work as a stand-up comic for $12 a week opening for bandleader Al Donahue at the band shell in Sheepshead Bay. He served in the United States Navy during World War II on the submarine tender USS Proteus with Tony Curtis.
Storch was originally a stand-up comic. This led to guest appearances on dozens of television shows, including Hennesey, Get Smart, Sergeant Bilko, Columbo, CHiPs, Fantasy Island, McCloud, Emergency!, The Flying Nun, Alias Smith and Jones, The Alfred Hitchcock Hour, That Girl, I Dream of Jeannie, Gomer Pyle, Gilligan's Island, The Doris Day Show, The Persuaders and All in the Family. His most famous role was the scheming Corporal Agarn on the TV series F-Troop (1965–1967), with Forrest Tucker and Ken Berry. In 1975, Storch co-starred with Bob Burns (who was disguised as a gorilla) and Forrest Tucker on the popular Saturday morning show The Ghost Busters. He also appeared on The Love Boat, was Al Bundy's childhood hero on Married... with Children, and was a semi-regular on Car 54, Where Are You?. He co-starred on the short-lived series The Queen and I.
A seminal moment from a classic, severely underrated TV show.

Episode 1: London Millwall, West Ham, Chelsea, and Tottenham The series begins by briefly outlining the history of football hooliganism from the rise of skinhead culture in London during the 1960s and 70s through the casual movement in the late 70s and 80s. The episode then turns to the firms of four major clubs in London: Millwall, West Ham United, Chelsea, and Tottenham Hotspur. Dyer meets with Ginger Bob, a member of Millwall's F-Troop, one of the first firms chronicled by the media. Ginger Bob describes how F-Troop was willing to charge an entire terrace of opposition fans with as few as 10 or 20 boys. During one incident in 2002, 900 Millwall supporters went on a rampage after losing to Birmingham City. Over 100 police officers were injured. In another incident following an FA Cup m...

An obvious knock off of F Troop, but it had its moments. Ann Sheridan was a major movie star in the 1940s. She passed awhile while filming the series in 1967. Ruth McDevitt and Douglas Fowley were wonderful as Grandma and Grandpa. The gay undertaker steals the episode. Stuart Margolin of Rockford Files fame also guest stars. Produced by Joe Connelly who was best known as the co-producer of Leave It To Beaver and The Munsters with Bob Mosher. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pistols_'n'_Petticoats

The end of the Civil War was near
When quite accidentally,
A hero who sneezed abruptly seized
Retreat and reversed it to victory.
His medal of honor pleased and thrilled
his proud little family group.
While pinning it on some blood was spilled
And so it was planned he'd command F Troop.
Where Indian fights are colorful sights
and nobody takes a lickin'
Where pale face and redskin
Both turn chicken.
When killing and fighting get them down,
They know their morale can't droop.
As long as they all relax in town
Before they resume with a bang and a boom
F Troop.
