This is the first episode of the first season (or pilot)
Named : "DUDE" (part 1 of 2).
(If you don't know Neon Rider, it is a series about a psychologist/writer that
decides to buy a ranch and spend his life helping troubled teens.)
Michael realizes, to keep his sanity and find himself,
he must leave his wife. To complicate things, Micheal finds a
naked 16 year old girl in his bed. AND While visiting his parents, Michael
ends up in court and his life changes forever.

In May 2006, filmmakers John Bolton and Errin Clutton were given eight days and eight hundred dollars to produce the made-for-television disaster film "Breakdown". Unfortunately, they spent the first seven days in casting. On the eighth day, they cut together "Breakdown" with the only footage they had - the video from the casting session. This is that film. Winston Rekert
Winston Houghton Rekert (June 10, 1949 – September 14, 2012) was a Gemini Award-winning Canadian actor. He was best known for starring in the television series Adderly and Neon Rider.
Career
A Vancouver native, Rekert started acting at age 12, appearing in an amateur production of Amahl and the Night Visitors. After high school, Rekert spent a year working in a logging camp, then took a year off to try acting. Rekert subsequently joined the Arts Club Theatre Company and in 1973 he landed his first television role on the comedy-drama The Beachcombers.
In 1985 Rekert played the role of Detective Langevin in the American film Agnes of God.
From 1986 to 1988 Rekert starred as the lead character in the Canadian television series Adderly, a comedy-drama that was a spoof of the spy genre. In 1987 Rekert won a Gemini Award for Best Performance by a Lead Actor in a Continuing Dramatic Role for his work on the series.
Following Adderly's cancellation, Rekert's childhood friend, Danny Virtue, pitched him an idea for a television series that eventually became Neon Rider. The series ran from 1990 to 1995 and starred Rekert as Michael Terry, a therapist who ran a ranch for troubled adolescents. Rekert also worked on the series as a writer, director and producer. Through the show Rekert became involved with a variety of youth groups and was named the national spokesman for Youth at Risk.

A dissatisfied Montreal director of TV commercials is taught to astrally project himself by a mysterious woman. But soon he finds that he does it against his will when he sleeps, and while he does it, he commits savage acts against those in his life.

I saw this little bootlegged DVD at the local mom and pop discount store for $1.99 and was attracted by the title. It was released under the title "Eternal Evil" and the distribution company that released this feature isn't even on the box, if that means anything (the back of the DVD only reads, "(c) 2005 Mircale Pictures a division of PMC Corp. De.") I read the synopsis and thought it would be rather interesting ... then i read the credits and find that this film was directed by none other than George Mihalka - - the director behind the cult fave & horror classic "My Bloody Valentine" (which is in my top five of all time, by the way). Well, the premise is great, but it doesn't quite deliver the way it should. There are loops in the plot and the story tends to d-r-a-g in places. Not to mention the forty minutes in the film where I was completely lost as to where the story was going. There are scenes that don't make sense and don't cohere with the story line, also. The final "twist" of the film was satisfying, if I can use the term loosely. I guessed it wrong though, even during the exact moment in the film where you can pretty much tell how it will end...lol. The opening sequence is very effective, and it's one of the few highlights of the film itself. I read somewhere that this was a made-for-TV movie, which would explain the lack of gore and the absence of any type of foul language for a film of this nature. Oh yes, the soundtrack wasn't all that great for the film, but there are one or two scenes where the music shifts in the direction that masters Goblin did with "Suspiria" back in '77 to get your attention. I was sorry that didn't last any longer than it did.
All in all, this isn't a bad film, but it's not as great as I was hoping from the director of a great classic like MBV.

In May 2006, filmmakers John Bolton and Errin Clutton were given eight days and eight hundred dollars to produce the made-for-television disaster film "Breakdown". Unfortunately, they spent the first seven days in casting. On the eighth day, they cut together "Breakdown" with the only footage they had - the video from the casting session. This is that film. Starring Christopher Shyer, Amanda Tapping, Carly McKillip, Winston Rekert, Sonya Salomaa, Gary Chalk, William S. Taylor and Michael Coleman as themselves (as such). I saw this little bootlegged DVD at the local mom and pop discount store for $1.99 and was attracted by the title. It was released under the title "Eternal Evil" and the distribution company that released this feature isn't even on the box, if that means anything (the back of the DVD only reads, "(c) 2005 Mircale Pictures a division of PMC Corp. De.") I read the synopsis and thought it would be rather interesting ... then i read the credits and find that this film was directed by none other than George Mihalka - - the director behind the cult fave & horror classic "My Bloody Valentine" (which is in my top five of all time, by the way). Well, the premise is great, but it doesn't quite deliver the way it should. There are loops in the plot and the story tends to d-r-a-g in places. Not to mention the forty minutes in the film where I was completely lost as to where the story was going. There are scenes that don't make sense and don't cohere with the story line, also. The final "twist" of the film was satisfying, if I can use the term loosely. I guessed it wrong though, even during the exact moment in the film where you can pretty much tell how it will end...lol. The opening sequence is very effective, and it's one of the few highlights of the film itself. I read somewhere that this was a made-for-TV movie, which would explain the lack of gore and the absence of any type of foul language for a film of this nature. Oh yes, the soundtrack wasn't all that great for the film, but there are one or two scenes where the music shifts in the direction that masters Goblin did with "Suspiria" back in '77 to get your attention. I was sorry that didn't last any longer than it did.
All in all, this isn't a bad film, but it's not as great as I was hoping from the director of a great classic like MBV.
