After Maia rescued James and Eli, she brought them to a secluded warehouse, and discussed with them how NEPO was able to hold the zombies back since the last infections. Procassium was thought to had been completely destroyed, but little did they know, it was secretly being developed by an individual, known only as 'The Master' to his minions, who had nearly perfected Procassium and is causing the large outbreak in Los Angeles. Once Eli told Maia about the plans he found for an attack on the Lakewood Centre Mall, this worried Maia, and she radioed for help from her fellow NEPO operatives. However, they were already too occupied to help her. Eli decided to back up the NEPO troops, and James and Maia went to the Lakewood Centre Mall...but they were too late. Hundreds of civilians and police officers had been slaughtered. Suddenly, James and Maia were ambushed by the zombies. They held them back, but James was injured in the process. After returning to the warehouse so Maia could treat James's wounds, the President of the United States received a call from The Master, who was threatening him to issue an arrest warrant on James, otherwise he would overtake the country. Forced to listen to his demands, President Arnold Vance issued the warrant, leaving Commander Steven Ryker upset towards him. James then received a call from Eli, warning him to escape, since he just found out about the warrant. James was confused but still attempted to escape, but he was stopped by Maia, who was ordered to arrest James and thought he had been lying to her since James was now a wanted man. James was forced to use a tear gas grenade, which Eli secretly gave him. James barely managed to escape from Maia, but not long after NEPO found him. Moments away from arresting him, a NEPO helicopter was shot down from a Raider zombie, zombies of prestige flying abilities. James found a military jet, but had no idea how to fly it. He called Eli on his radio and asked for help, but Eli was occupied in the middle of a gun fight in another part of the city. After a brief flying lesson from Eli, James was able to control the jet. Eli then told James he should escape while he had the chance, however James was too arrogant to listen and attempted to fight the Raider zombies on his own. He held his own temporarily, but was no match for the Raider zombies's skills, and was shot down in the middle of the desert. Now stranded with no communication, time is dangerously running low for James, with NEPO and the USAF pursuing him. He will need all the help he can get, even if it's from a mysterious figure of whom he has no knowledge about... *Guitargameguy has full ownership of GTA 5 - The Zombie Attack Legacies™.
