A video explaining that
PLDT is INDEED limiting your internet speed. Limiting download speeds to be specific. The download speed is capped.
It is called:
INTERNET TRAFFIC SHAPING
Everyone should be aware.
Read the explanation and be enlightened if you don't know what is happening
...
We are subscribed to a
3.5 Megabits per second plan so... "we should experience" a download speed" of atleast 350
Kilobytes per second" based on what the people from PLDT are saying.
But in my case, "I NEVER experienced a download speed MORE THAN
150 Kilobytes per second".
The maximum is "always at 150 Kilobytes per second".
I have checked it on a 24/7 basis, all time of the day, I left a unit(computer) open just to test, before I decided to make this video.
According to their technical persons, the lowest you should get is 60% of the highest speed.
In that sense, "60% of 3.5 Megabits per second is
2.1 Megabits per second."
2.1 Megabits (Mb/s) per second should have a download speed of atleast 210 Kilobytes per second (KB/s), based on what the people from pldt are saying. But in reality, it should be 262.5 Kilobytes per second (KB/s).

Atmost, 3.5 Megabits per second (Mb/s) should have a speed of 437.5 Kilobytes per second (KB/s).

1 year nag-progress yang problema na yan:

NOTE:
"My
Internet connection is already fixed by PLDT. How? I called them continuously, on a daily basis. For how long? My connection started to have problems from
August 2012 (problems include of intermittent connection and getting random disconnections). It was finally fixed last
August 2013. So it took 1-year of continuously complaining on their
Facebook page, on their
Twitter account, and calling daily on their 172 hotline."
