CERN is the world's largest science laboratory and mainly the world's most powerful particle accelerator. Pakistan has made many contributions towards the project,and still many Pakistani scientists work there.

In 1963 Peter Higgs first proposed a new "boson" particle that would explain why some particles have mass while others do not, and 49 years later the world's most complex and largest machine was able to detect its existence (statistically speaking). In our version of the Large Hadron Collider we accelerate marble in opposite directions then show the collisions of protons using fiber optics and party poppers.

While the physicists searching for the Higgs boson had the most exciting year of their lives in 2012, many people at CERN are searching for other things without so much luck. This film follows two physicists, Maurizio and Zach, searching for Supersymmetry (SUSY) as they explain why, despite a complete lack of experimental evidence, they continue to believe that one day SUSY might be found.
"CERN People" is a new series of short films that goes behind the headlines of some of the biggest physics breakthroughs of our time, introducing the public to a handful of engaging young scientists at the world’s largest research center – home to the Hadron Collider and birthplace of the worldwide web!
We have been filming during the most exciting years for particle physics in a generation. Our aim is to give the general public, who have a broad sense of what CERN is, a more personal sense of who particle physicists are and what they actually do.
We have had great access to three CERN experiments: ALPHA, CMS, and some of ATLAS. We were there when the Higgs results were coming together, and when a groundbreaking anti-matter paper was accepted for publication. We captured the emotion of these moments in real time -- and such moments in physics are rare. They get headlines and public attention for a few days; our aim is to hold onto it and make the public want to know more, with a series of intimate, intelligent short films that open the door onto the real work of experimental particle physics.
Our focus is primarily on younger physicists -- not the people who speak to the cameras when big news is announced, but the ones staying up all night analyzing data, preparing graphs, and tweaking the tools on which big experiment results depend. We talk to them not only about what they do, but why they do it. Perhaps none of them will win the Nobel Prize, even if their work helps others to do so. They will probably never have the first-class lifestyle of their friends who went into the private sector, where mathematical brains like theirs can make millions. And as a rule, they don't care.

CERN People is directed by Liz Mermin and produced by Crow Hill Films. Science fair
A science fair experiment is generally a competition where contestants present their science project results in the form of a report, display board, and models that they have created. Science fairs allow students in elementary, middle and high schools to compete in science and/or technology activities.
Although writing assignments that take a long time to complete and require multiple drafts are fairly common in US schools, large projects in the sciences (other than science fairs) are rare. Science fairs also provide a mechanism for students with intense interest in the sciences to be paired with mentors from nearby colleges and universities, so that they can get access to instruction and equipment that the local schools could not provide.
In the United States, science fairs first became popular in the early 1950s, with the ISEF, then known as the National Science Fair. Interest in the sciences was at a new high after the world witnessed the use of the first two atomic weapons and the dawn of television. As the decade progressed, science stories in the news, such as Jonas Salk’s vaccine for polio and the launch of Sputnik, brought science fiction to reality and attracted increasing numbers of students to fairs.

The no symbol (also known as a prohibition sign, no sign, circle-backslash symbol, nay, interdictory circle, or universal no) is a circle with a diagonal line through it (running from top left to bottom right), surrounding a pictogram used to indicate something is not permitted. The no symbol is generally colored red, but is sometimes another color, typically black.
The Unicode code point for the prohibition sign (also called the no symbol) is U+20E0;, Combining Enclosing Circle Backslash ( ⃠ ). It is a combining character, which means that it appears on top of the character before it, so putting d⃠ will show d⃠. (Note: This will appear only if the character exists in an available font.) Large Hadron Collider
The Large Hadron Collider (LHC) is the world's largest and most powerful particle collider, the largest, most complex experimental facility ever built, and the largest single machine in the world. It was built by the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN) between 1998 and 2008 in collaboration with over 10,000 scientists and engineers from over 100 countries, as well as hundreds of universities and laboratories. It lies in a tunnel 27 kilometres (17 mi) in circumference, as deep as 175 metres (574 ft) beneath the France–Switzerland border near Geneva, Switzerland. Its first research run took place from 30 March 2010 to 13 February 2013 at an initial energy of 3.5 teraelectronvolts (TeV) per beam (7 TeV total), almost 4 times more than the previous world record for a collider, rising to 4 TeV per beam (8 TeV total) from 2012. On 13 February 2013 the LHC's first run officially ended, and it was shut down for planned upgrades. 'Test' collisions restarted in the upgraded collider on 5 April 2015, reaching 6.5 TeV per beam on 20 May 2015 (13 TeV total, the current world record). Its second research run commenced on schedule, on 3 June 2015.

While the physicists searching for the Higgs boson had the most exciting year of their lives in 2012, many people at CERN are searching for other things without so much luck. This film follows two physicists, Maurizio and Zach, searching for Supersymmetry (SUSY) as they explain why, despite a complete lack of experimental evidence, they continue to believe that one day SUSY might be found.
"CERN People" is a new series of short films that goes behind the headlines of some of the biggest physics breakthroughs of our time, introducing the public to a handful of engaging young scientists at the world’s largest research center – home to the Hadron Collider and birthplace of the worldwide web!
We have been filming during the most exciting years for particle physics in a generation. Our aim is to give the general public, who have a broad sense of what CERN is, a more personal sense of who particle physicists are and what they actually do.
We have had great access to three CERN experiments: ALPHA, CMS, and some of ATLAS. We were there when the Higgs results were coming together, and when a groundbreaking anti-matter paper was accepted for publication. We captured the emotion of these moments in real time -- and such moments in physics are rare. They get headlines and public attention for a few days; our aim is to hold onto it and make the public want to know more, with a series of intimate, intelligent short films that open the door onto the real work of experimental particle physics.
Our focus is primarily on younger physicists -- not the people who speak to the cameras when big news is announced, but the ones staying up all night analyzing data, preparing graphs, and tweaking the tools on which big experiment results depend. We talk to them not only about what they do, but why they do it. Perhaps none of them will win the Nobel Prize, even if their work helps others to do so. They will probably never have the first-class lifestyle of their friends who went into the private sector, where mathematical brains like theirs can make millions. And as a rule, they don't care.

CERN People is directed by Liz Mermin and produced by Crow Hill Films. Liz Mermin (www.merminfilm.com) is a London-based director from New York who directs fast-paced, character-driven documentary features telling stories about contemporary society and culture – from the personality quirks of charismatic Irish racehorses to culture clashes between Afghan and American hairdressers to the ties between Bollywood and terrorism. Geneva is one of those cities in Europe that absolutely blew my mind. Many boring travel guides are available these days for Geneva and are often all the same, that's why I dug deep into Geneva to bring you the best hidden spots.
Start your adventure in Geneva at Bains des Paquis especially on a sunny day. The whole city comes together to enjoy to pure waters of Lake Geneva and watch the live music during the Sunrise Festival at 6:00am every day.
Geneva is most famous for Jet d'Eau, the giant fountain in the middle of Lake Gevena and considered the most iconic fountain in the world. This 140 meters tall fountain can be seen from miles away while 500 liters of water blast through the air every second.
During the evening you can hangout at Bains des Paquis while you enjoy traditional Swiss cheese fondue and make friends with many locals.
Geneva also offers their popular summer festival hold on August 4th until August 14th and ends with a massive fireworks show.
My hidden secrets are lunch at Chez Ma Cousine, an afforable restaurant in the old town of Geneva and the budget no-name convenience store on the crossing of Rue de Zurich & Rue de Paquis.
Other places of interest are United Nations headquarters, the FREE bike rental shop called Geneveroule where you only have to provide a deposit to borrow a bike and last; you can actually see Mont Blanc from the Lake Geneva waterfront (unknown to many tourists).

In this, my 4th video on The Mandela Phenomenon, I combine the best of the best of what I have been able to find to date, to vent some of the anger and frustration victims (and YES, "victims" is the correct word to describe what folks experiencing the effect indeed are), are going through while at the same time attempt to point beyond any doubt, where the blame belongs for this atrocity. It boggles my mind how so many people who apparently are not experiencing the changes, can sit back and call the folks who are experiencing the changes Bat Shit Crazy! The way I see it there are basically 4 camps that exist: CAMP A: People who are experiencing "The Mandela Effect" and looking for answers. CAMP B: People who are either not sure if they are experiencing "The Mandela Effect", but just don't want to know if they actually are experiencing "The Mandela Effect", because of a deep seated fear of it and/or they fear of being ridiculed or have chosen to SECOND GUESS THEIR OWN MEMORIES as a method of self-preservation. I think this is what they call the FIGHT or FLIGHT syndrome and this group makes the choice to FLEE from the situation, rather then to stay and FIGHT, or ACCEPT it as being a real phenomenon. CAMP C: People who honestly have NO CHANGES to their memories. They are NOT experiencing ANY symptoms of "The Effect". Sometimes I wonder if the folks in CAMP C are somehow the LUCKEY ONES! And finally, we have CAMP D: The people who know what has happened. These would be the folks "IN THE KNOW", or people who actually work for, finance, or have something to do with CERN. I think this video will show the cat is pretty much out of the bag when it comes to WHO is behind this atrocity. Why do I use the word atrocity to describe the phenomenon? Because IMHO there is a definite EVIL twist to what has happened,... is happening.... (YES, it is still going on!!!) I find this whole thing to be with out a doubt a PREPOSTEROUS ABOMINATION!!! People have said things to me like; "What difference does it make?" "Why should you care when there is nothing you can do about it?" If that were not bad enough, I have had people tell me that I am DELUSINAL,... or that I have completely gone insane and need to seek help,... and MUCH, MUCH, worse things have been said,... as I'm sure anyone who has been victimized by "The Effect" reading this can attest to. I am OUTRAGED by this. I feel completely helpless and absolutely VICTIMIZED by this. NOW is the time for the people who are the actual VICTIMS of this "experiment gone bad" to fight back! But how?!? Can my previous reality be restored? Can what ever has been TURNED ON be TURNED OFF? Can Humpty Dumpty be put back together again? Will myself and millions of others be able to simply accept this NEW REALITY and go one with our lives like it never happened? I can not speak for the millions effected, but for myself, the answer to those questions if NO! So what can we do? Well for starters, we are already doing it... We can MAKE PEOPLE AWARE!!! I do it by making videos such as this one, and I also typed up a "MANDELA AWARENESS QUIZ", a simple 3-page question and information packet that I hand out to people I know. If you go about it the right way you can actually get people to realize what has happened without totally freaking them out in the process. Another thing I do is mention to people everywhere I go, I will ask people out in public if they ever heard of The Mandela Effect, and then when they say "NO" (which is just about 99.9% of the people I've asked the question have so stated), I will then ask them if they have Internet capability, (to which about 90% say "YES, THEY DO",... I will ask them to do me a favor and to type "MANDELA EFFECT" into the YouTube search engine and promise me they will watch 5 videos on the subject when they go home. lol! It might make me look crazy to many of COMPLETE STRANGERS I walk up to out in public, but believe it or not, the vast majority thus far have been very nice and respectful toward me when I do this! The corporate/government controlled/sponsored "main stream" media is NOT doing their job, (so what else is new), therefore it is up to you and I to do it for them. The FIRST step to getting answers, and bringing the perpetrators of this PREPOSTEROUS ABOMINATION to pay for their crimes id to wake as many people up as possible about it!

While the physicists searching for the Higgs boson had the most exciting year of their lives in 2012, many people at CERN are searching for other things without so much luck. "CERN People" is a new series of short films that goes behind the headlines of some of the biggest physics breakthroughs of our time, introducing the public to a handful of engaging young scientists at the world’s largest research center – home to the Hadron Collider and birthplace of the worldwide web!
We have been filming during the most exciting years for particle physics in a generation. Our aim is to give the general public, who have a broad sense of what CERN is, a more personal sense of who particle physicists are and what they actually do.
We have had great access to three CERN experiments: ALPHA, CMS, and some of ATLAS. We were there when the Higgs results were coming together, and when a groundbreaking anti-matter paper was accepted for publication. We captured the emotion of these moments in real time -- and such moments in physics are rare. They get headlines and public attention for a few days; our aim is to hold onto it and make the public want to know more, with a series of intimate, intelligent short films that open the door onto the real work of experimental particle physics.
Our focus is primarily on younger physicists -- not the people who speak to the cameras when big news is announced, but the ones staying up all night analyzing data, preparing graphs, and tweaking the tools on which big experiment results depend. We talk to them not only about what they do, but why they do it. Perhaps none of them will win the Nobel Prize, even if their work helps others to do so. They will probably never have the first-class lifestyle of their friends who went into the private sector, where mathematical brains like theirs can make millions. And as a rule, they don't care.
About CERN People, Liz Mermin, and Crowhill Films
CERN People is directed by Liz Mermin and produced by Crow Hill Films. Liz Mermin (www.merminfilm.com) is a London-based director from New York who directs fast-paced, character-driven documentary features telling stories about contemporary society and culture – from the personality quirks of charismatic Irish racehorses to culture clashes between Afghan and American hairdressers to the ties between Bollywood and terrorism. While the physicists searching for the Higgs boson had the most exciting year of their lives in 2012, many people at CERN are searching for other things without so much luck. This film follows two physicists, Maurizio and Zach, searching for Supersymmetry (SUSY) as they explain why, despite a complete lack of experimental evidence, they continue to believe that one day SUSY might be found.
"CERN People" is a new series of short films that goes behind the headlines of some of the biggest physics breakthroughs of our time, introducing the public to a handful of engaging young scientists at the world’s largest research center – home to the Hadron Collider and birthplace of the worldwide web!
We have been filming during the most exciting years for particle physics in a generation. Our aim is to give the general public, who have a broad sense of what CERN is, a more personal sense of who particle physicists are and what they actually do.
We have had great access to three CERN experiments: ALPHA, CMS, and some of ATLAS. We were there when the Higgs results were coming together, and when a groundbreaking anti-matter paper was accepted for publication. We captured the emotion of these moments in real time -- and such moments in physics are rare. They get headlines and public attention for a few days; our aim is to hold onto it and make the public want to know more, with a series of intimate, intelligent short films that open the door onto the real work of experimental particle physics.
Our focus is primarily on younger physicists -- not the people who speak to the cameras when big news is announced, but the ones staying up all night analyzing data, preparing graphs, and tweaking the tools on which big experiment results depend. We talk to them not only about what they do, but why they do it. Perhaps none of them will win the Nobel Prize, even if their work helps others to do so. They will probably never have the first-class lifestyle of their friends who went into the private sector, where mathematical brains like theirs can make millions. And as a rule, they don't care.

CERN People is directed by Liz Mermin and produced by Crow Hill Films. Liz Mermin (www.merminfilm.com) is a London-based director from New York who directs fast-paced, character-driven documentary features telling stories about contemporary society and culture – from the personality quirks of charismatic Irish racehorses to culture clashes between Afghan and American hairdressers to the ties between Bollywood and terrorism. Her films are broadcast, released theatrically, and shown in festivals worldwide; reviewers praise their humor, sensitivity, and attention to character. As an undergraduate, Mermin was an instructor on a popular physics course called “Space Time and Motion,” which was of some help in making this series (as was her father, an emeritus professor of theoretical physics at Cornell).
