Across Scotland 17 beaches have been ranked as "excellent” in a new report. The quality of water at 84 of the country's “officially designated bathing water” beaches has been rated as ‘excellent', ‘good', ‘sufficient', or ‘poor' by the Scottish Environment Protection Agency (Sepa) in line with new European standards.
