Platforms has three parts:
a week-long exhibition (January 25-29)
a Friday symposium (January 29, 4-7:30 p.m.)
a Saturday event, Explore the Augmented
City, that invites participants to explore San Francisco through the tools of augmented history (

The Experimental History Project is an interdisciplinary platform for exhibitions, research, and events exploring experimental practices of architectural and urban history.
Launched by CCA professors
Irene Cheng and
David Gissen, the Experimental History Project is an initiative of CCA’s MAAD-HTX (History,
Theory, Experiments) degree program.
Past events organized by the Experimental History Project include
Test Sites: Experimental Histories of
Space and An Olfactory
Archive, an exhibition on artists and historians who harness scents, essences, and fragrances in the reconstruction and preservation of historical spaces.
Organized by the CCA Architecture division and the Experimental History Project with support from the
Graham Foundation for Advanced Studies in the
Fine Arts.
