Man dies as scooter rams electric pole
TNN | Mar 7, 2016, 11.05 AM IST Thiruvananthapuram: A 36-year-old man died on Sunday after he lost control of the scooter he was riding and rammed an electric pole on the roadside at Kazhakkootam. Santhosh Kumar, a mason residing near CSI Church in Ward 17 of Kadinamkulam village is the deceased.
According to the police, the accident occurred around 11.15am. Santhosh was riding from Kazhakkoottam to Menamkulam direction along the beach road. When he reached Arattuvazhi, he lost control of the scooter and rammed it against an electric pole made of concrete, that was standing to his left.
Though he was rushed to the Medical College Hospital, he succumbed to his injuries. The head injuries he had suffered in the crash could be the reason for the death. The body was released to the family after conducting postmortem in Sunday afternoon.
Santhosh leaves behind wife Sumi and two sons.
