Maiji Caves
Located in the southeast of Tianshui City in Gansu Province, Maiji Caves is one of the four most renowned treasure houses of grotto in China, together with Mogao Grottoes in Dunhuang, Longmen Grottoes in Luoyang and Yungang Grottoes in Datong.
Maiji Caves has 194 niches with a population of more than 7,200 stone and clay sculptures. Besides, there are around 1,300 square meters ((about 1, 555 square yards) murals in the caves. The caves were first carved in the Late Qin Dynasty (221 BC -- 206 BC) and then restored and expanded in the Northern Wei, Western Wei, Northern Zhou, Sui, Tang, Five Dynasties, Song, Yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties.
Carved on the cliff of the Maiji Mountain, these caves are connected by plank roads. One can only visit the caves via the plank roads.

Analysis: China property curbs in focus ahead of parliament meet
BEIJING (Reuters) - China's property market is rife with speculation - both about rising house prices and about what the new government may do to curb them once it takes office next week. Asset prices have whipsawed as investors first bet that government-mandated infrastructure spending would boost real estate prices, only to then fret about new measures to cool a market that has seen double-digit annual price rises in cities like Beijing and Shenzhen. ...

China central bank takes lead in economic reform push
BEIJING (Reuters) - China's readiness to bend retirement rules to keep arch-reformer Zhou Xiaochuan at the helm of the central bank signals clearly that new Communist Party chiefs want to speed economic reform in the country's most critical development phase in three decades. Central bank insiders interviewed by Reuters say the People's Bank of China (PBOC) is the country's most potent force for reform in the face of powerful vested interests, echoing sources with leadership ties who last week said Zhou would keep his job despite reaching the mandatory retirement age of 65. ...

2012 Aloha Festival Parade ACCA 3
"The 2012 Aloha Week Parade down Ala Moana and through Waikiki carried tremendous and deep meaning for ancient Hawaii's history with respect to ancient Chinese navigation and contact into at least two of Hawaii's highest royal lineages. The ACCA "Great Wall of China" procession illustrated China's cultural arts, BUT, also demonstrated China's adoption in two ancient Hawaiian royal lines that had shared commonality of creation. Shangdi (God) before and through the Zhou Dynasty, Lao Tzu's Tao Te Ching during the Zhou period and the Northern tao arts of healing and war passed through into Hawaii during the 10th century (Tang and Song Dynasties) and again during the 15th century (Ming Dynasty). In Hawaii, during the 10th century, it was the Nanaulu lineage later associated with the Maweke (Kakuhihewa) rule of Kauai, Oahu, and Maui precincts; and, during the the 15th century, it was the Ulu lineage later associate with the Umiokalani (Mahi -- Alapa'i) rule on the Big Island. 'Shangdi' parallels the Hebrew God 'Elohim' and the Hebrew God parallels Hawaii's 'IO. The word 'Iolani is a name that should not have been used for any buildings. It should not even have been used for a school. That would be like saying "Elohim High School" in Israel. Upon our parade float's entering into Waikiki at two separate locations (Hawaii Prince Hotel and the Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center), the blaring Chinese music was silenced, and we blared, through the streets bouncing off of the buildings, a very meaningful Hawaiian 'oli kahiko (ancient chant) presented during 1836 in the royal court of Kamehameha III (Kauikeaouli). This chant (1) paraphrased various older chants of the kahuna centuries before the arrival of Captain Cook in 1778 that foretold the losing of the islands to a white people from Eastern boundaries of Kahiki (lands outside of Polynesia); and, (2) a sacred call for healing and unity for all. Whereas, the earlier Chinese navigations into the Islands blending seamlessly into two blood lines in Hawaii --- adding to the Nanaulu and Ulu healing art of laau lapaau and martial art of lua. The chant illustrated that throughout all of history, it was only the navigation of the European into the islands that resulted in segregating everyone into different peoples and stealing native lands. The richness of the Islands of Hawaii reflects the marriage with the ancient lands that today, we know as China." by Gerry Lam

Ep.13-Changping District Exhibition at BITE 2012 -- BONTV
During this year's Travel Expo, popular tourist spots like Beijing, Shanghai, Xinjiang and Inner Mongolia showed their travel products alongside up and coming rural travel areas.
Changping District, located just north of Beijing, brought their travel products to the expo. This area differentiates itself from other Beijing districts by offering leisure tourism products. Mr. Zhou, from Changping Tourism Bureau, tells us more.
Interview of Zhou (about the hot spring).
Changping District is located in northern Beijing. The district boasts a different type of tourism than Beijing's other crowded districts. Mrs. Zhou told us a bit about touring Changping District's military museum, and mentioned that the museum houses examples of some of the most advanced aircrafts to date.
Interview of Zhou (about the J-10 aircraft).
If you'd like to visit Changping, you can get there by car or subway. The entire trip will take around 2 hours from the center of Beijing.
