The Comedy of Errors, Shakespeare's tale of mistaken identities, as adapted in 1976 into a modern musical form for the RSC, by Trevor Nunn.
This scene: In Ephesus on "holiday", Antipholus(Roger Rees) and Dromio(Michael Williams) of Syracuse are unknowingly mistaken for their long lost twin brothers Antipholus and Dromio of Ephesus by Adriana (Judi Dench), the denied and restless wife of Antipholus of Ephesus. Adriana is convinced that her husband's attentions have been straying to the many licentious distractions in Ephesus, and is in desperate need of some attention herself. Upon seeing "him" in the square, she makes her move of determination to keep "her husband's" attentions where they should be...at home and on her. Shakespeare's comedy of mistaken identity is never more funny than when in the hands of these brilliant artists. Other's in the scene: Adriana's sister, Luciana(Francesca Annis), and their house maid Luce(Susan Dury).
The Royal Shakespeare Company perform (they are Singing AND Dancing!) William Shakespeare's play about two pairs of identical twins, separated at birth and reunited under very entertaining circumstances. The play was directed by Nunn, choreographed by Gillian Lynne, and designed by John Napier. The play premiered at the Royal Shakespeare Theatre in Stratford-upon-Avon in 1976. The cast included Mike Gwilym as Antipholus of Ephesus, Roger Rees as Antipholus of Syracuse, Nickolas Grace as Dromio of Ephesus, Michael Williams as Dromio of Syracuse, and Judi Dench as Adriana, with Francesca Annis, Richard Griffiths, Griffith Jones, and John Woodvine.

This production of William Shakespeare's "The Comedy of Errors" starring The Flying Karamazov Brothers at Lincoln Centre (NY) in 1987. This is one of my favorite scenes from that production where Antipholus comes home to find his twin is already there. Hilarity ensues.

The Comedy of Errors (musical)
The Comedy of Errors is a musical with a book and lyrics by Trevor Nunn and music by Guy Woolfenden. It is based on the William Shakespeare play, The Comedy of Errors, which had previously been adapted for the musical stage as The Boys from Syracuse by Richard Rodgers, Lorenz Hart and George Abbott in 1938. The London production won the Olivier Award for Best New Musical in 1977.
Background
While enjoying a holiday in Ephesus, Antipholus and Dromio of Syracuse are mistaken for their long-lost twin brothers Dromio and Antipholus of Ephesus by Adriana, who is married to the latter. Certain her husband's wandering eye has noticed the many temptations awaiting him in town, she is determined to win back his undivided attention. Comic complications arise when she pursues the wrong Antipholus and tries to woo him home.
The theatre critic Irving Wardle said of the score, "It does not give you much to hum on the way out, but it supplies a springboard into dramatic song and dance." The original Royal Shakespeare Company production received generally good reviews and was described as "stylish, colorful, and rich in comic detail" by various critics.

After hours spent memorizing lines, numerous meetings, and hundreds of planning emails, the Gileskirk Class of 2014 performed Shakespeare's "The Comedy of Errors" in front of a live audience on June 10! Although my fellow actors/actresses and I are glad to have this project over, we can all agree that the performance itself was a lot of fun! Thank you all for your hard work, thank you families for your support, thank you Shiloh Presbyterian Church for allowing us to use your sanctuary, and a special thank you to all those who came to see our performance!! -

The attack is one of the deadliest in Afghanistan since the Taliban launched a violent insurgency in 2001 ...
