Captain America is a fictional superhero appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. Created by cartoonists Joe Simon and Jack Kirby, the character first appeared in Captain America Comics #1 (cover dated March 1941) from Timely Comics, a predecessor of Marvel Comics. Captain America was designed as a patriotic supersoldier who often fought the Axis powers of World War II and was Timely Comics' most popular character during the wartime period. The popularity of superheroes waned following the war and the Captain America comic book was discontinued in 1950, with a short-lived revival in 1953. Since Marvel Comics revived the character in 1964, Captain America has remained in publication.
Captain America wears a costume that bears an American flag motif, and is armed with a nearly indestructible shield that he throws at foes. The character is usually depicted as the alter ego of Steve Rogers, a frail young man enhanced to the peak of human perfection by an experimental serum to aid the United States government's imminent efforts in World War II. Near the end of the war, he was trapped in ice and survived in suspended animation until he was revived in the present day. Although Captain America often struggles to maintain his ideals as a man out of his time with its modern realities, he remains a highly respected figure in his community which includes becoming the long-time leader of the Avengers.
Walter Elias "Walt" Disney (/ˈdɪzni/; December 5, 1901 – December 15, 1966) was an American entrepreneur, cartoonist, animator, voice actor, and film producer. He was a prominent figure within the American animation industry and throughout the world, and is regarded as a cultural icon, known for his influence and contributions to entertainment during the 20th century. As a Hollywood business mogul, he and his brother Roy O. Disney co-founded The Walt Disney Company.
As an animator and entrepreneur, Disney was particularly noted as a filmmaker and a popular showman, as well as an innovator in animation and theme park design. He and his staff created numerous famous fictional characters including Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, and Goofy. Disney himself was the original voice for Mickey. During his lifetime, he won 22 Academy Awards and received four honorary Academy Awards from a total of 59 nominations, including a record of four in one year, giving him more Oscar awards and nominations than any other individual in history. Disney also won seven Emmy Awards and gave his name to the Disneyland and Walt Disney World Resort theme parks in the U.S., as well as the international resorts Tokyo Disney Resort, Disneyland Paris, Hong Kong Disneyland, and Shanghai Disney Resort.

Still Road (2013) by Alan Holley played by Igor Lazic, horn and Ljiljana Vukelja, piano Koncert Kamerne Muzike. A concert of chamber music by Australian composer Alan Holley was held at Kolorac Hall in Belgrade, Serbia on June 25th 2014. Still Road - "The title comes from a road sign north of Sydney, and I was intrigued by its inherent ambiguity. The conflict of ideas between stasis/stillness and the travel that can occur on a road led me to contrast certain elements in the music. At times, particularly in the first and third movements, it is as if the music does not 'move'. Simple repeating rhythmic, melodic and harmonic patterns are in contrast to the constantly changing musical ideas in the second movement. Movements I and II were premiered in Osijek, Croatia on March 27, 2013 by Hr...

A few refrains have lyrics, and they are pure poetry. "My heart is grateful--just to be, and nothing more. I am the joy, and the sorrow. The tear, the death, and blessed bird. As I am today, I am tomorrow: a child of God, flying out to love on this earth...." Though you'll probably remember only zither and angelic voice, other notables contribute to the magic: on swirls of flutes, on Lyricon wind synthesizer, on synthesizer, and on bells. A lecture and panel discussion with Robert Gibbs, Margie Cooper Pearson, John Jones, Teena Horn, and Alan Huffman at Millsaps College Lines Were Drawn, edited by Teena F. Horn, Alan Huffman, and John Griffin Jones, looks at a group of Mississippi teenagers whose entire high school experience, beginning in 1969, was under federal court-ordered racial integration. Through oral histories and other research, this group memoir considers how the students, despite their markedly different backgrounds, shared a common experience that greatly influences their present interactions and views of the world―sometimes in surprising ways. The book is also an exploration of memory and the ways in which the same event can be remembered in very different ways by the participants. The editors (proud members...
