Karna

Karna (Sanskrit: कर्ण, IAST transliteration: Karṇa), originally known as Vasusena, is one of the central characters in the Hindu epic the Mahābhārata, from ancient India. He was the King of Anga (present day Bhagalpur and Munger). Karna was one of the greatest warriors, whose martial exploits are recorded in the Mahābhārata, and the only warrior believed to be able to defeat Arjuna in battle, an admiration expressed by Lord Krishna and Bhishma within the body of this work. As per the Mahabharata, Karna was the only warrior in that era who conquered the entire world. Karna single-handedly successfully conducted Digvijaya Yatra, conquering all kings in every direction of the world in order to establish Duryodhana as the emperor of the world and to conduct the Vaishnava sacrifice. Karna was equal to 2 Maharatha warrior.

Karna was the son of Surya and Kunti. He was born to Kunti before her marriage with Pandu. Karna was the closest friend of Duryodhana and fought on his behalf against the Pandavas (his brothers) in the famous Kurukshetra war. Karna fought against misfortune throughout his life and kept his word under all circumstances. It is believed that Karna founded the city of Karnal, in present Haryana. Karna, Mahabali, Harishchandra are the three most famous personalities in Hinduism based on the merits they earned by giving charity. They are often quoted for their sacrifice, courage, charity, valour and selflessness they exhibited for helping a fellow being.

Krishna Krishna

Krishna Krishna is a 2001 Tamil comedy film directed by S. Ve. Shekher, making his directorial debut. The film features S. Ve. Shekher and Sukanya in lead roles, with Venniradai Moorthy, Sriman, Chinni Jayanth, Thyagu, Ramesh Khanna, Manorama and Kovai Sarala playing supporting roles. The film had musical score by S. A. Rajkumar and was released on 8 June 2001. The film was adapted from S. Ve. Shekher's stage drama Athirshtakkaaran.

Plot

Gopalakrishnan (S. Ve. Shekher), a perfect gentleman, wants to get married as soon as possible. His mother 'Bullet' Pushpa (Manorama) only wants an extremely wealthy daughter-in-law so she rejects every marriage proposal. While Bama (Sukanya) hates the kind of rich grooms her father (Venniradai Moorthy) brings for her. One day, Bama sees Gopalakrishnan at the bus stop and she falls in love at first sight with him. Finally, they fall in love with each other and get married in a police station without their parents' permission. After the marriage, 'Bullet' Pushpa and Bama often quarrel for small matters. Bama hates lies, if the same person lied to her four times, she will not bear the person. Soon, Bama suspects the innocent Gopalakrishnan for having bad habits. She decides to divorce him. What transpires later forms the crux of the story.

Anuradha Paudwal

Anuradha Paudwal (मराठी: अनुराधा पौडवाल) is an Indian playback singer in Bollywood.

She is noted in Hindi cinema with a career spanning three decades.She is a five-time winner from 15 nominations of the Filmfare Award for Best Female Playback Singer,a recipient of the National Film Award. She has sung in several languages including Hindi, Kannada, Marwari, Pahari, Marathi, Sanskrit, Bengali, Gujarati, Tamil, Telugu, Oriya, Assamese, Punjabi, Bhojpuri, Nepali and Maithili.

Biography

Her singing career started in 1973 with the movie, Abhimaan, (starring Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan) in which she sang a Shloka (a Sanskrit verse). In the same year she also made her Marathi film debut with "Yashoda" (music by Datta Davjekar). In 1974, she brought out a record of Non-film Marathi songs or "bhav geeten" which became very popular.

In 1976, she got her break as a playback singer in Hindi films with Kalicharan (starring Shatrughan Sinha and Reena Roy). Her first solo was in the movie, Aap Beati, (starring Hema Malini and Shashi Kapoor). Laxmikant-Pyarelal were the music-composer duo for that movie. She also occasionally sang songs for composers Rajesh Roshan (Udhar Ka Sindoor), Jaidev (Dooriyan, Laila Majnu), Kalyanji Anandji (Kalaakar, Vidhaata), and Usha Khanna (Souten, Saajan Bina Suhagan).

Radhey Shyam

Radhey Shyam Bijarnia was an Indian basketball player who represented India at the 1980 Summer Olympics and the 1982 Asian Games in Delhi. He was a recipient of the Arjuna Award for his achievements. He died in 2005 at the age of 54 at his native village Sri Madhopur in Rajasthan.
