As the show becomes an success Hartnell displays an obsession with his character but, after three years, ill health catches up with him and he starts to forget lines. Newman tells him that Doctor Who will 'regenerate' and he will be replaced by younger actor Patrick Troughton. Though attached to the part and reluctant to give it up Hartnell wishes every success to Troughton, the first of several actors to play a part which will endure for fifty years.

But he cannot stop the nurses from showing compassion to the wounded men. Finally, when the situation in the hospital grows desperate, John Hall reluctantly allows Florence and the other nurses to minister to the soldiers. Quickly Florence takes matters in hand. Conditions improve. The death rate falls. When "The Times" of London publishes stories about her work, they call her "The Lady of the Lamp." A woman full of compassion. On a trip to the front lines hospitals, Florence falls ill from exhaustion and seems near death. While still in a fever, she receives a brooch from Queen Victoria inscribed: "Blessed are the Merciful." From her parents she receives a letter expressing how proud they are of her. Florence recovers. She returns to the military hospital where the grateful men salute her.

David Russell Williams[1] (born March 7, 1963) is a convicted murderer, rapist, and former Colonel in the Canadian Forces. From July 2009 to his arrest in February 2010, he commanded CFB Trenton, a hub for air transport operations in Canada and abroad and the country's largest and busiest military airbase. He was formally charged by the Ontario Provincial Police, pursuant to the Criminal Code of Canada, with two counts of first-degree murder, two counts of forcible confinement, two counts of breaking and entering, and sexual assault;[3] another 82 charges relating to breaking and entering were later added.[4] On October 21, 2010, Williams was sentenced to two life sentences for first-degree murder, two 10-year sentences for other sexual assaults, two 10-year sentences for forcible confinement, and 82 one-year sentences for breaking and entering, all to be served concurrently. The life sentences mean Williams will serve a minimum of 25 years before parole eligibility. Since he has been convicted of multiple murders, Williams is not eligible for early parole under the so-called "faint hope clause" of the Canadian Criminal Code.[5]
On October 22, 2010, Williams was stripped of his commission, ranks, and awards by the Governor General of Canada on the recommendation of the Chief of the Defence Staff. Friends, I started my campaign a year early and launched a website to show you and other supporters how serious I am about winning and representing the people of The Bronx in the New York City Council with distinction, smarts and accountability.
Who am I running against?
I am running against Councilmember Annabel Palma's re-election plan to the New York City Council in 2013.
Her term expires automatically on December 31, 2013. She is able to run for re-election one last time in the Democratic Primary in 2013 because supporting City Councilmembers voted against the "Will of The People" on October 23, 2008 to extend the the term-limit law at the behest of Mayor Michael Bloomberg.
Therefore, I will be running against her in the Democratic Primary scheduled for September 10, 2013. It's time we put aside politics and place the concerns of the Community first. Everywhere I go, whether it's at a community fair, health fair or parade, the People of this great city knows that William Russell Moore is the People's candidate, and I am truly touched by the overwhelming support: Power to the People!
I am confident that with my extensive educational background in political science from the prestigious Stony Brook University, business and local government in general, I will be the best Democratic Councilman to ever serve the 18th Councilmanic District in history.
Now more than ever it is critical that we turn around our neighborhoods that are suffering from low quality of life and socioeconomic despair. Our breakthrough as a community is long overdue, and I pledge when I am elected I will break ground on new initiatives that will put you back to work or in your own business venture with more money in your pocket. When everyone in our district can make an honest living, we will make sustainable inroads to wealth, power and prosperity.

We are a borough not afraid to use "our hands to make something out of nothing."
