The united front, sometimes called Pan-Leftism is a form of struggle or political organization that may be carried out by revolutionaries or communist political struggles. The basic theory of the united front tactic was first developed by the Comintern, an international communist organization created by communists in the wake of the 1917 Bolshevik Revolution.
According to the thesis of the 1922 4th World Congress of the Comintern: “The united front tactic is simply an initiative whereby the Communists propose to join with all workers belonging to other parties and groups and all unaligned workers in a common struggle to defend the immediate, basic interests of the working class against the bourgeoisie.”
The united front allowed workers committed to the revolutionary overthrow of capitalism to struggle alongside non-revolutionary workers. Through these common struggles revolutionaries sought to win other workers to revolutionary socialism. The united front perspective is also used in contemporary and non-Leninist perspectives.
A prime minister is the most senior minister of cabinet in the executive branch of government, often in a parliamentary or semi-presidential system. In many systems, the prime minister selects and may dismiss other members of the cabinet, and allocates posts to members within the government. In most systems, the prime minister is the presiding member and chairman of the cabinet. In a minority of systems, notably in semi-presidential systems of government, a prime minister is the official who is appointed to manage the civil service and execute the directives of the head of state.
In parliamentary systems fashioned after the Westminster system, the prime minister is the presiding and actual head of government and head of the executive branch. In such systems, the head of state or the head of state's official representative (i.e. the monarch, president, or governor-general) usually holds a largely ceremonial position, although often with reserve powers.
The prime minister is often, but not always, a member of parliament and is expected with other ministers to ensure the passage of bills through the legislature. In some monarchies the monarch may also exercise executive powers (known as the royal prerogative) that are constitutionally vested in the crown and may be exercised without the approval of parliament.
India, officially the Republic of India (Bhārat Gaṇarājya), is a country in South Asia. It is the seventh-largest country by area, the second-most populous country with over 1.2 billion people, and the most populous democracy in the world. Bounded by the Indian Ocean on the south, the Arabian Sea on the south-west, and the Bay of Bengal on the south-east, it shares land borders with Pakistan to the west;China, Nepal, and Bhutan to the north-east; and Myanmar (Burma) and Bangladesh to the east. In the Indian Ocean, India is in the vicinity of Sri Lanka and the Maldives; in addition, India's Andaman and Nicobar Islands share a maritime border with Thailand and Indonesia.
Home to the ancient Indus Valley Civilisation and a region of historic trade routes and vast empires, the Indian subcontinent was identified with its commercial and cultural wealth for much of its long history. Four religions—Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism, and Sikhism—originated here, whereas Zoroastrianism, Judaism, Christianity, and Islam arrived in the 1st millennium CE and also shaped the region's diverse culture. Gradually annexed by and brought under the administration of the British East India Company from the early 18th century and administered directly by the United Kingdom after the Indian Rebellion of 1857, India became an independent nation in 1947 after a struggle for independence that was marked by non-violent resistance led by Mahatma Gandhi.

Hindi/Nat Indian Prime Minister Inder Kumar Gujral resigned on Friday after the powerful Congress Party withdrew its support from his ruling coalition. It's the third government collapse in less than three years. The Congress Party finally did what it had been threatening to do all week - it withdrew its support for the ruling United Front coalition. Although Congress did not have a place in the cabinet, its support was crucial to keep the United Front in power. Now Congress has to determine if it has the numbers to form a new government. It would be the fourth government for India since May 1996 elections to the 545-member lower house of Parliament left no party with a majority to govern alone. Eng/Hindi/Nat India's governing United Front and its estranged partner, the Congress Party, opened talks Wednesday but made little headway in averting a showdown in parliament that could hasten elections. Teams from the two power blocs agreed to meet again Thursday. A solution must be found before a scheduled vote of confidence in Parliament on Friday to avoid the collapse of the 10-month-old coalition government. Though neither side indicated a change of position, Wednesday's meeting itself was enough to generate optimism for a negotiated end to the 11-day-old political crisis. India's Congress Party grabbed headlines by withdrawing its support from the United Front Coalition last week. At Congress rallies this week, the scene was jubilant. But the celebrations mas...

It was all about Indian citizen Kulbhushan Jadhav on Monday who was arrested in Pakistan on March 3, 2016 and was issued a capital punishment on April 10, 2017 by the military court of Pakistan on charges of spying. After India was denied consular access in Jadhav’s case by Pakistan for a staggering 16 times, India moved International Court of Justice (ICJ) which in turn ordered Pak to stall the execution. India presented a powerful testimony ahead of the 11-judge bench at International Court of Justice (ICJ) in Hague, Netherlands. Indian lawyer Harish Salve representing Kulbhushan Jadhav at the judicial arm of the United Nations hustled his way to the point and put front the demands of India against Pakistan. Japan will join a major annual naval training exercise that normally involves only the U.S. and India, in what is being interpreted as a display of a united front against China’s ambitions. The Wall Street Journal reports: Ties between New Delhi and Tokyo have strengthened as geopolitical tensions in the region have mounted, and Japan was invited in January to join the so-called Malabar exercise, an annual event that has been primarily a bilateral U.S.-Indian operation.
