The Koran is difficult to understand because events are out of sequence and statements often contradictory. This can be remedied by reading the Koran within the context of Mohammed's life (the official biography of Mohammed is called the Sira). Here one sees that there was an earlier, genuinely religious Koran written when Mohammed was in Mecca, and a later Koran, written in Medina, which was highly political. The existence of the two Korans accounts for the contradictions.

Řešením je číst korán v kontextu Mohamedova života (Mohamedova oficiální biografie se nazývá síra). Tam vidíme, že existuje ranější, náboženský korán, který vznikl v době, kdy Mohamed působil v Mekce, a pozdější korán vzniknuvší v Medíně, který je značně politický. Ve skutečnosti tedy existují dva korány, a proto vznikají ony rozpory.

FAIRBORN -- Wright State's celebration over the news they were chosen as the site for the first presidential debate in 2016 was dampened today by what many call a hateful video now going viral.
The university says a man shown in video shot at Wright State ripped up Islam's holy book, the Quran, which sparked outrage amongst the people gathered around that area of campus.
The man who tore the book is not a Wright State student and we've learned he's insulted Muslims this way at schools across the country.
Wright State President Dan Hopkins is warning students that this sort of provocation will not be tolerated.

Islam at a glance
The word Islam means 'submission to the will of God'.
Islam is the second largest religion in the world with over 1 billion followers. The 2001 census recorded 1,591,000 Muslims in the UK, around 2.7% of the population.
Muslims believe that Islam was revealed over 1400 years ago in Mecca, Arabia.
Followers of Islam are called Muslims.
Muslims believe that there is only One God.
The Arabic word for God is Allah.
According to Muslims, God sent a number of prophets to mankind to teach them how to live according to His law.
Jesus, Moses and Abraham are respected as prophets of God.
They believe that the final Prophet was Muhammad.(P.B.U.H.)
Muslims believe that Islam has always existed, but for practical purposes, date their religion from the time of the migration of Muhammad.(P.B.U.H.)
Muslims base their laws on their holy book the Qur'an, and the Sunnah.
Muslims believe the Sunnah is the practical example of Prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H.) and that there are five basic Pillars of Islam.
These pillars are the declaration of faith, praying five times a day, giving money to charity, fasting and a pilgrimage to Mecca (atleast once).
What is Quran?
The Qur'an is the most often-read book in the world. Revealed by God to the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) in the 7th century, and revered by Muslims as being God's final Scripture and Testament, its words have been lovingly recited, memorized, and implemented by Muslims of every nationality ever since.
The faithful are inspired, consoled often moved to tears by its eloquence and poetic imagery, especially when recited aloud. And yet, the Qur'an is unique in being the only Scripture that is free of scientific inaccuracies, whose historical authenticity can be verified, and whose text has been so carefully preserved that just one authorized version (in Arabic) exists. Approximately the length of the New Testament, the Qur'an is also the only holy book that can be memorized in its entirety by people of all ages and intellectual abilities - including non-Arabic speakers - which Muslims consider to be one of its miracles.

* Quran was revealed on Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) over a period of 23 years.
* The verses and chapters in the Quran were revealed depending on the various incidents that occurred during the life time of Prophet Muhammad. (P.B.U.H.) The whole idea was to reinforce Quranic teachings in the life of Muslims and make it more practical for them to follow. For example, prior to the revelation of Quran, people used to drink alcohol. The first verses of the Quran prohibited Muslims not to pray while they are intoxicated (as they do not know what they are praying). However, later, verses were revealed that completely prohibited alcohol for Muslims. Allah mentioned in the Quran that the harms inflicted by drinking alcohol are far more than its benefits.
* Quran is divided into many chapters with each chapter having verses.
* Quran was revealed in the Arabic language and Muslims all over the world recite it in the same language. However, translations have surfaced to help Muslims and non-Muslims alike understand the interpretation of the Quran. Translations should be read very carefully as simple translations mostly do not convey the real meanings of what was revealed.

Islamic holy books are the texts which Muslims believe were dictated by God to various Islamic prophets throughout the history of mankind. All these books, in Muslim belief, promulgated the code and laws of Islam. Muslims believe the Qur'an, the final holy scripture, was sent because all the previous holy books had been either corrupted or lost. Nonetheless, Islam speaks of respecting all the previous scriptures in their original forms. Belief in all the revealed books is an article of faith in Islam and a Muslim must believe in all the scriptures to be a Muslim. The four books are the Tawrat, Zabur, Injil and Quran. The Torat was sent to Musa (Moses), the Zabur was sent to Dawood (David), the Injil was sent to Isa (Jesus) and the Qur'an was sent to Muhammad.
The Qur'an mentions at least three main Islamic scriptures which came before the Qur'an by name.

Religious texts, also known as scripture, scriptures, holy writ, or holy books, are the texts which various religious traditions consider to be sacred, or of central importance to their religious tradition. Many religions and spiritual movements believe that their sacred texts are divinely or supernaturally revealed or inspired.
The oldest known religious texts are Pyramid texts of Ancient Egypt that date to 2400-2300 BCE. The earliest form of the Phoenician alphabet found to date is the inscription on the sarcophagus of King Ahiram of Byblos. ( The Sumerian Temple Hymns ). The Epic of Gilgamesh from Sumeria is also one of the earliest literary works dating to 2150-2000 BCE, that includes various mythological figures. The Rigveda of Hinduism is proposed to have been composed between 1700–1100 BCE making it possibly the world's oldest religious text still in use. The oldest portions of the Zoroastrian Avesta are believed to have been transmitted orally for centuries before they found written form, and although widely differing dates for Gathic Avestan (the language of the oldest texts) have been proposed, scholarly consensus floats at around 1000 BCE.[citation needed]

/ˈmɑːr/; born January 20, 1956) is an American stand-up comedian, television host, political commentator, author, and actor. Before his current role as the host of HBO's Real Time with Bill Maher, Maher hosted a similar late-night talk show called Politically Incorrect originally on Comedy Central and later on ABC.
Maher is known for his political satire and sociopolitical commentary, which targets a wide swath of topics including religion, politics, bureaucracies of many kinds, political correctness, the mass media, greed among people and persons in positions of high political and social power, and the lack of intellectual curiosity in the electorate. He supports the legalization of marijuana and same-sex marriage, and serves on the board of PETA. CZ: Koránu je těžké porozumět, protože události v něm nejsou řazeny chronologicky a jednotlivá tvrzení si často odporují. Řešením je číst korán v kontextu Mohamedova života (Mohamedova oficiální biografie se nazývá síra). Tam vidíme, že existuje ranější, náboženský korán, který vznikl v době, kdy Mohamed působil v Mekce, a pozdější korán vzniknuvší v Medíně, který je značně politický. Ve skutečnosti tedy existují dva korány, a proto vznikají ony rozpory.

The man who tore the book is not a Wright State student and we've learned he's insulted Muslims this way at schools across the country.

I am Jesus Christ reborn as Mahdi have arrived to certify all holy books as true & my claims are all supported with authentic holy signs of Holy books. Common people are not masters in this particular subject of Jesus Mahdi & Masih Dajjal. They have all signs about them in holy books but couldn't break the codes of the sealed prophecies as it was the duty of me the real Jesus Mahdi. Systemmatical verifications of all my claims must be held under supervision of intelligent Islamic Scholars. What people have believed out of prophecies & what holy books revealed out of prophecies. The holy books revealed the truth but mankind believed their own conclusions from all those prophecies. The holy books & messenger of Allah wins the trophies mashallaah. The prophecies of Quran & hadiths are wrapped with wisdom & all the signs together must be researched then only the actual facts can be known. But generally Muslims don’t do like this & hence end up in controversies. Quran with complete hadiths must be tallied or compared & they all must sit with patience on research for atleast 10 days. They all must be patient & they should allow the proofs to be given without shouting in between. It can only be done under discipline & peace. A group of Judges is required for complete verification. Most of the end times prophecies of Mohammed (s) about Mahdi Jesus Second Coming are mentioned in symbolic or metaphorical language. All those prophecies about scenes of Mahdi Jesus’s are through visions of Prophet Mohammed (s) which must be interpreted perfectly with the help of Hadiths. The Muslim scholars have read & understood those visions to be literal as it is whereas their interpretations came true in different ways. Quran & hadiths clearly states that Jesus was raised from unconsciousness but Muslims say that he was lifted towards Allah even before his arrest. The face of one of the enemies is made like Jesus & by mistake he was crucified in place of Jesus. So this is a false faith because Jesus (Myself) was put on cross for death but Allah made me alive on 3rd day from deep slumber. Muslims say that Jesus of Second coming is different & Mahdi is different person but Quran Hadiths clearly states that both are one. Muslims say that Mahdi or Jesus of second coming will be follower of Mohammed (s) & neither will be rasool nor Nabi (prophet). But Quran hadiths clearly in wise words states that Mahdi the Jesus of Second Coming is only Rasool Allah(sent by Allah) without Nabuwat (prophethood). What people understood about Mahdi & Jesus is not important or valid but whatever Holy books proves is most important. One has to give time, show interest & sit along with me on verifications at least for 8 days along with all holy books to know the real facts. Unless & until you believe that all holy books are from Allah, dont' differentiate in any of the rasools & know all prophecies holy books completely you cannot be a true Muslim at all.
