AP wins reporting prize from Harvard

Four AP reporters have won the Goldsmith Prize for Investigative Reporting from Harvard's Shorenstein Center for their investigation into the use of slave labor in the seafood industry. Thomas E. Patterson, the Shorenstein Center's interim director remarked, "The story was extraordinarily difficult to uncover and its impact on people’s lives and public policy will last far into the future."

Paul Haven, a veteran foreign correspondent and news manager who has led AP bureaus in South Asia, Europe and Latin America, has been named the cooperative's first all-format News Director for Latin America and the Caribbean.
