Subscribe to our channel http://bit.ly/AJSubscribe The US is the most powerful nation on earth, but its position of global supremacy is being challenged - economically, militarily and politically. And the person many Americans hold responsible for these failings is the president who promised them change. The worldwide economic crisis of 2008 started in the US and the aftershocks are still being felt today. Unemployment is running at more than eight per cent, productivity is down and the national debt is a whopping $137bn. Such turmoil makes it hard to honour electoral promises. The country is deeply divided. The machinery of government has been tied in knots by partisan bickering and the rise of the right-wing, anti-state Tea Party and the street protests of the left-wing Occupy Wall...

Subscribe to our channel http://bit.ly/AJSubscribe Bradford is at the heart of the UK and it was once the wealthiest city in Britain, riding the wave of the industrial revolution, its mills churning out textiles that dressed the world. But Great Britain is no longer the great empire that it once was, and today, the city of Bradford is not defined by industrial or political power but by poverty, inequality and social decline. Another thing that has changed is the make-up of the residents themselves. White Christian Anglo-Saxons used to be the only racial and religious denomination in Bradford. But then the children of the empire started migrating to the UK in search of better lives - and stayed. British society became multi-racial and multi-cultural. Britain embraced multiculturalism, mo...
Subscribe to our channel http://bit.ly/AJSubscribe Turkey straddles two worlds, Europe and Asia, but its relationship with the West has always been troubled. Once dubbed the sick man of Europe, this founding member of NATO has sought membership of the European Union, but always been denied. Today, roles have been reversed. Turkey is booming, with economic growth at 8.5 per cent while its nearest European neighbours are going broke. This economic success has earned the country international respect. Turkey is now acting as a trusted broker with its turbulent neighbours in the Caucasus, Iran, Iraq, Israel, and Syria. Is Turkey a weathervane reflecting the global shift of power? And can the new Ottomans strike a balance between the country's modern, secular aspirations and its deep-rooted...
Subscribe to our channel http://bit.ly/AJSubscribe It is a tale of two countries. One has assassinations, mass murders and grisly beheadings. The other Mexico has a rich cultural heritage, a booming economy that threatens to overtake Brazil, and is home to the world's richest man. As a new Mexican president gets ready to take office, which version of this country will prevail? Is Mexico winning or losing the war on drugs? Can Mexico become a political and economic superpower? At Al Jazeera English, we focus on people and events that affect people's lives. Subscribe to our channel http://bit.ly/AJSubscribe Palestinians have lived under Israeli occupation for more than 60 years. Their homes and land have been stolen and their status reduced to that of refugees in their own country. But instead of uniting against a common enemy, Palestinians are divided, between the Islamists in Hamas who rule Gaza, and the Palestinian Authority (PA) that governs the West Bank. Many accuse the PA of being Israeli stooges and their mismanagement of everything from unemployment, sky-rocketing prices, water rights, taxation and border issues have made them deeply unpopular. Postponing elections simply prolongs the crisis. The paradox is that Ramallah, the unofficial capital of the occupied territories, is booming, with aid money pouring in to assuage the worl...
Subscribe to our channel http://bit.ly/AJSubscribe The ancient Greeks invented the word chaos to describe complete disorder and confusion. They did not think they would be living with it for so long. Greece is the economic basket-case of Europe, gone from junk status to even "junkier". The country's debt is 145 per cent of GDP and it is the ordinary people who are paying the price. One-third of Greeks live below the poverty line. Anger has turned into violence and despair, and suicides have increased by 40 per cent since the crisis began. Plummeting salaries and pensions, never-ending tax hikes and ever-deeper spending cuts have pushed the country to the brink of economic and social collapse. Queues at soup kitchens are lengthening, the number of homeless people is mounting, and critic...
Subscribe to our channel http://bit.ly/AJSubscribe Israel has always felt under siege, but its internal problems could be more damaging than any external threat. The rift is between the secular and the ultra-Orthodox, who believe any compromise with Arabs is unacceptable. Zealous immigrants are boosting the extreme right and militant settlers are pushing further into Palestinian territory. Last summer, a new social movement was born demanding an end to corruption, lower inflation and cuts to public services. Almost half a million Israelis took to the streets to protest. It was the biggest wave of demonstrations in the country's history. Meanwhile, the occupation of the Palestinian territories and the apartheid system inflicted on Palestinians living in Israel continues. Israel proclai...

Location: Crumbs & Whiskers in Los Angeles Music: My Way Remix Music is not mine. Went to LA's first cat cafe and made a video of it! 75min def wasn't enough time to hang out with the cats, but I'll be back! I think they are all rescue cats so they are up for adoption. The cafe was really cute and cozy with friendly cats playing/ lounging. They group you into sessions so you have to make a reservation online then be on time. Overall it was a really good experience! I wish I could take one home!!

In the rapidly growing city it functioned simultaneously as home and workplace, affording opportunities for both leisure and intellectual exchange. This volume explores the nature and function of the coffeehouse in the social, cultural, and political world of fin-de-siècle Vienna. Just as the café served as a creative meeting place within the city, so this volume initiates conversations between different disciplines focusing on Vienna at the beginning of the twentieth century. Contributions are drawn from the fields of social and cultural history, literary studies, Jewish studies and art, and architectural and design history. A fr...
I have made pour over coffee almost every day for the past few years but I was recently gifted a La Pavoni Europiccola (pre millennium) and have started getting into the world of espresso drinks. This video features the Cafe Miele inspired by Quills coffee - a cafe latte with honey and cinnamon! It's awesome! The coffee used is Quills Blacksmith from Louisville, KY. The mug is from Barista Parlor in Nashville, TN. Tamp from Prima Coffee Baratza Encore grinder If you have feedback for my routine, please let me know! I'm still learning the tamp and especially the milk.

Chijioke Dozie and Ngozi Dozie are two brothers who started a cafe called ‘Cafe Neo’ in 2012. They spent several years studying how to run a cafe in countries other than Nigeria, and now in 2016 they have opened ten more locations in Nigeria. The brothers didn’t just want their locations to be just coffee shops, they want them to be creative flourish zones. Therefore, they provide wi-fi, jazz music, and areas of the cafe where people can work together. http://www.cnn.com/2016/10/18/africa/coffee-africa-cafe-neo/index.html http://www.wochit.com This video was produced by YT Wochit News using http://wochit.com

In a place where comfort shouldn't be
I found comfort and tranquility
I found friends that mean so much to me,
in a place I never thought I'd be.
the cave's never
coming down on me.
the cave really
means so much to me
'cause the cave, it only gives
I'm glad the cave is where I live
O.K., so sometimes things get out of hand
and piece of mind is in great demand
I climb up to the top...
look around and it all seems to stop
the cave's never coming down on me
and the cave really means so much to me
'cause the cave, it only gives
I'm glad the cave is where I live
the cave's never coming down on me
the cave really means so much to me
'cause the cave, it only gives
