Brent is an Old English place name and surname. The place name can be from Celtic words meaning "holy one" (if it refers to the River Brent), or "high place", literally, "from a steep hill" (if it refers to the villages in Somerset and Devon, England) (Mills 1991). The surname often indicates that one's ancestors lived in a place called Brent.
Brent has also become a regularly used given name in some countries, being among the thousand most common names for boys born in the United States since 1933. When used as a given name today, Brent is sometimes a short form of Brenton, but this was probably not the original inspiration for Brent's use as a given name, since Brenton's own regular use as a first name came many years after Brent was established in that role.
Guy Maddin, CM OM (born February 28, 1956) is a Canadian screenwriter, director, author, cinematographer and film editor of both features and short films, as well as an installation artist, from Winnipeg, Manitoba. His most distinctive quality is his penchant for recreating the look and style of silent or early-sound-era films. Since completing his first film in 1985, Maddin has become one of Canada's most well-known and celebrated film-makers.
Maddin has directed eleven feature films and numerous short films, in addition to publishing three books and creating a host of installation art projects. A number of Maddin's recent films began as or developed from installation art projects, and his books also relate to his film work. Maddin has been the subject of much critical praise and academic attention, including two books of interviews with Maddin and two book-length academic studies of his work. Maddin was appointed to the Order of Canada, the country's highest civilian honour, in 2012.
Romare Bearden (September 2, 1911 – March 12, 1988) was an American artist and writer who depicted African-American life. He worked with many types of media including cartoons, oils and collages. Born in Charlotte, North Carolina, Bearden moved to New York City at a very young age and went on to graduate from NYU in 1935. He began his artistic career creating scenes of the American South. Later, he endeavored to express the humanity he felt was lacking in the world after his experience in the US Army during World War II on the European front. He later returned to Paris in 1950 and studied Art History and Philosophy at the Sorbonne in 1950.
Bearden's early work focused on unity and cooperation within the African-American community. After a period during the 1950s when he painted more abstractly, this theme reemerged in his collage works of the 1960s, when Bearden became a founding member of the Harlem-based art group known as The Spiral, formed to discuss the responsibility of the African-American artist in the struggle for civil rights.

Hospital Fragment. Film directed by Guy Maddin in 1999. With Michael Gottli, Angela Heck, Darcy Fehr, Brent Neale and Deborah Axelrod.
ASTRON 6 creators Adam Brooks, Matthew Kennedy (who both directed and starred) Conor Sweeney, Brent Neale and Sheila Campbell (all of whom co-starred) are joined on stage by fellow cast members for the Q&A; following the world premiere of THE EDITOR, September 11/12, 2014.
Canadian filmmaker Ross Munro's debut feature, "Brewster McGee" is a profane, darkly humorous look at what happens to big ideas in small minds. Brewster (Brent Neale from Guy Maddin's Careful, Dracula) and his hippie buddy Malcolm (Reid Edwards) are a couple of dangerously obsessive misfits who spend their lives together hatching grandiose marketing strategies and improbable get-rich-quick schemes from the confines of a rusted-out jalopy in the parking lot of the Chicken Hut. Their twisted attempts to ensnare a lonely unsuspecting employee, Oliver (Don Ackerman), of that establishment into their low-rent world meets with disturbing and savagely funny results.
Dr. A. Peter Weiss, examines negotiating styles and how one can train to move from their innate style to another if needed. He discusses tactics for one off negotiations versus those with longer term implications. On the entrepreneurial front, Dr. Weiss holds 13 patents for orthopedic devices used worldwide. He is a co-founder of IlluminOss Medical, Inc. and previously Board member and principal equity holder of KMI, Inc. which was sold to Integra LifeSciences. He serves on the Board of Directors of the National Rowing Foundation. He serves as an advisor to Telegraph Hill Partners, a healthcare private equity fund. ROMARE BEARDEN: A BLACK ODYSSEY | Brent Edwards, Columbia University | January 20, 2015 In 1977, Romare Bearden (1911-1988), one of the most powerful and original artists of the 20th century, created a cycle of 20 collages and watercolors (miniature variations of his collages) based on Homer’s epic poem The Odyssey. Rich in symbolism and allegorical content, Bearden’s “Odysseus Series” created an artistic bridge between classical mythology and African-American culture. The works conveyed a sense of timelessness and the universality of the human condition, but their brilliance was displayed for only two months in New York City before being scattered to private collections and public art museums. The Miriam and Ira D. Wallach Gallery showing of Romare Bearden: A Black Odyssey was the firs...

http://www.josephspeaks.com Joseph is a highly evolved spirit guide who is deeply concerned about the fate of mankind and returns to channel important spiritual information from the higher realms through the spirit medium - Michael G. Reccia. This interview is based on the book The Fall The whole point of this book is to explain why you are as you are now, why you come back here and why the Earth is a hostile and violent place of seeming lack, and to give you that knowledge (that should resonate with your soul from a time before the Fall) so that you can, through your heart-centre, reason your way out of reincarnation and out of the effects of the Fall. Then the planet can be restored to its former purpose and you can be restored to your former heritage. joseph speaks Michael G. Reccia...
Serenity is a problem
When you get this close to Heaven
But you really want to see
The wonders of the underworld
They caught Saint Peter's disease
As he rattled his keys
Serenity is a problem
Serenity is a problem
Such a paranoid inlay
Hand-painted, pain by numbers, just join the dots
Serenity is a problem
Serenity is a problem
Bloody British bulldozers
These vegetables are suicidal
It seems concussion suits you
It seems concussion suits you
Dear Diary, I must take risks
I must not be afraid of failure
What do I need to give up?
Crystalline ladders, shiny things, mirror-balls
On a clear day I can see forever
