Here is the countdown of the Top 10 Highly Developed Countries:
The Human Development Index (HDI) is a composite statistic used to rank countries according to their development levels from "very high" to "low." Countries are placed based on life expectancy, education, standard of living, child welfare, health care, economic welfare, and population happiness. Formulas are used to factor all the variables and determine the scores of countries. Critics have cited the HDI as inaccurate or vague, but coming up with top ten highly developed countries list on my own opinion would have been very subjective and probably badly ranked. Thus, I have simply listed the first ten countries on the HDI and displayed their scores. Enjoy!

Based on the different countries' gross domestic product purchasing power parity, here are the 10 poorest countries in the world in 2013.
We do not inherit Earth from our ancestors; we borrow it from our children. The Earth is a home for 204 countries, 809 islands and 7 seas yet the Earth has not equally distributed its resources all over the world. With highly developed countries to highly poor countries; the Earth breeds all! With some countries having a high standard of living, some other countries do not have the basic necessities of life. With very little degree of variations, the suffering of millions of people is quite common and inevitable. With poverty stricken, Malnutrition, diseases, scarcity of food, the world has been a devastating place for hundreds of thousands of underprivileged people who literally have no standard of living.
Here is a list of the top 10 poorest countries in the world (2013) which reflects how the world still needs to implement a good deal of ideas and resources to the underprivileged countries and wipe off the poverty from the face of Earth.
When thinking of the world's poorest countries you may think of Haiti or Bangladesh but you would be wrong. The truth is that all of the world's 10 poorest countries are located in just one continent: Africa.
Here is the list of which are considered to be the world's poorest countries today.
1 Democratic Republic of the Congo GDP $394.25
2 Zimbabwe GDP $589.46
3 Burundi GDP $648.58
4 Libera GDP $716.04
5 Eritres GDP $792.13
6 Central African Republic GDP $827.93
7 Niger GDP $853.43
8 Malawi GDP $893.84
9 Madagascar GDP $972.07
10 Afghanistan GDP $1,072.19

Population ageing is a phenomenon that occurs when the median age of a country or region rises due to rising life expectancy and/or declining fertility rates. There has been, initially in the more economically developed countries but also more recently in less economically developed countries, an increase in life expectancy which causes the ageing of populations. This is the case for every country in the world except the 18 countries designated as "demographic outliers" by the UN. For the entirety of recorded human history, the world has never seen as aged a population as currently exists globally. The UN predicts the rate of population ageing in the 21st century will exceed that of the previous century. Countries vary significantly in terms of the degree, and the pace, of these changes, and the UN expects populations that began ageing later to have less time to adapt to the many implications of these changes.

December 28, 2015 (Persian calendar 1394/10/7)
In aviation, an en-route chart is an aeronautical chart that guides pilots flying under instrument flight rules (IFR) during the en-route phase of flight.
An en-route (also known as en route or enroute) chart provides detailed information useful for instrument flight, including information on radionavigation aids (navaids) such as VORs and NDBs, navigational fixes (waypoints and intersections), standard airways, airport locations, minimum altitudes, and so on. Information not directly relevant to instrument navigation, such as visual landmarks and terrain features, is not included.
En-route charts are divided into high and low versions, with information on airways and navaids for high- and low-altitude flight, respectively. The division between low altitude and high altitude is usually defined as the altitude that marks transition to flight levels (in the United States, this is taken to be 18,000 feet MSL by convention).

This part, Mr. Sophan Seng continued to analyse on the Reform of Cambodia Education. After the wake of war, education has remained important factor for this country to leapfrog herself from post-cold war country to peace and developed country, or from revolutionary-socalled country to democracy country equipped by Rule of Laws and Fair Share of National Wealth according to sustainable development concept.
Again, Mr. Sophan highly articulated on quality of education system and quality of school teachers. In Cambodia, besides of fundamental concept of "better knowledge persons to teach less knowledge person" has remained omnipresent presently existing in Cambodia modern school compounds, the teachers' pedagogy is seen out-of-date omnipotently.
For instance, this pro-violence country has not yet trained teachers to be anti-violence agents at school at all. Teachers, in Cambodian concept, they are the second parents of all Cambodian children. While children are affected by violence-parenting style of ingrained home-raising parenthood, teachers are not well trained in handling domestic violence in school at all.
Recent incident of a school teacher commanded a male student to unclothe a female student in front of classroom in the way to punish her because her inability to answer assignment question, is one of the thousand punishment ways Cambodian teachers have always used to teach them in schools.
This sexual violence is among other four domestic violences ie. physical violence, verbal violence, financial violence, and emotional violence. School teachers are not taught to handle with all these violences and most of time they are the violence perpetrators rather than a violence stopper/investigator/observer.
Those teachers are not different from public politician figures whose education credentials are not counted to getting their way into those important public servants and high prestigious public posts. As the matter of fact, Cambodia education has been mocked by the no education or less education persons have become a player of role model in the public eyes of Cambodian people. Currently, many top officers including Premier are not graduated high school. Currently, majority of teachers are counted by training teachers, they have not graduated post secondary education at all.
When this important strata of social fabric are remained weak, the future of Cambodia is deems muddy.

The Least Developed Countries Report 2015 addresses the issue of structural transformation of rural economies in LDCs, emphasising its critical importance to fulfilment of the SDGs globally. It concludes that such transformation needs to encompass agricultural upgrading and diversification towards rural non-farm activities, and to maximise the synergies between the two; and that it needs to foster an increase in rural demand while strengthening supply response. The Report highlights the potential of the infrastructure investment needed to generate increased rural demand, and the importance of appropriate sequencing and design, including labour-based construction methods and local procurement, to maximise its transformational effect. It concludes by outlining policies for rural structural transformation in the areas of finance, agricultural technology, enterprise and innovation, human resources and institutions.

"The effects of war don’t end when the guns fall silent,” says Ron Atkinson, professor of African History at the University of South Carolina, in an 11:00 documentary short produced and directed by EMIR candidate Jake Herrle. "When the Guns Fall Silent" tells the story of a Ugandan woman who was one of 50,000 children abducted by the rebel group Lord’s Resistance Army. She was forced to serve as a child solider under its leader Joseph Kony, before escaping to an Internally Displaced Persons camp. This film chronicles her life after the war. The screening will be followed by a discussion about putting a face on the complex issues of post-conflict reconstruction.
To watch "When The Guns Fall Silent": http://vimeo.com/20335876
Mr. Jake Herrle joins the EMIR program with a passion for peddling ideas and causes that advance the human condition. Previously he was a photographer, director, and producer for EARL, LLC, a production company that specializes in print and motion advertising and editorial campaigns. Mr. Herrle was also a founding board member of Clearwater Initiative, a water charity that provides life-changing service to post-conflict Northern Uganda. He is concurrently pursuing a master’s degree in photography from Syracuse University’s S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications.

The World Trade Organisation (WTO) has come under renewed criticism for failing poor and developing countries with talks on agricultural trade unable to yield a breakthrough in more than 14 years.
Nations including Kenya, India and Pakistan have been calling on the WTO to force developed countries to phase out subsidies paid to farmers whose overproduction is threatening the livelihoods of farmers in the developing world.
Many analysts have argued that negotiations at the WTO have remained largely dominated by traditional economic powers such as the US and EU with discussions failing to deliver promised change.
Some point to the failure of western governments to conclude what's known as the 'Doha Development Agenda' which has kept agricultural economies in Africa trapped in poverty.
The Doha Development Agenda, which began in Qatar in 2001, is a series of trade negotiations with the broad aim of reforming the international trading system through the introduction of lower trade barriers and revised trade rules.
But 14 years on, some of the biggest of those issues - agriculture tariffs and farming subsidies - remain unresolved.
Ricardo Melendez-Ortiz, the CEO of the International Centre for Trade and Sustainable Development joins Counting the Cost to discuss whether the Doha Round should be scrapped.
Global arms industry continues to boom
The international arms trade is continuing to boom, with trade at its highest level since the end of the Cold War.
Worth more than $400 billion a year, according to the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI), around 100 companies control the trade with 64 of them based in either the US and Western Europe.
While the US is the world's biggest exporter with 54.4 percent of the market, German and Swiss sales have grown to 9.4 percent and 11.2 percent respectively.
Increasing instability in the Middle East and Asia has prompted an arms race between Iran and the Gulf States, while a similar situation between Pakistan and India has prompted both countries to stock up on huge amounts of weapons.
Pieter Wezeman, a senior researcher with the SIPRI's arms and military expenditure programme joins the show to discuss who's buying what weapons.

How much profit is fair? To find out more and get teaching resources, go to www.whypoverty.net
Rüschlikon is a village in Switzerland with a very low tax rate and very wealthy residents. But it receives more tax revenue than it can use. This is largely thanks to one resident - Ivan Glasenberg, CEO of Glencore, whose copper mines in Zambia are not generating a large bounty tax revenue for the Zambians. Zambia has the 3rd largest copper reserves in the world, but 60% of the population live on less than $1 a day and 80% are unemployed. Based on original research into public documents, the film describes the tax system employed by multinational companies in Africa.
