Joe Morgenstern (born 3 October 1932) is a Pulitzer Prize-winning film critic for The Wall Street Journal.

Morgenstern graduated from Lehigh University in 1953. His first journalism experience was as news clerk at the New York Times. He then became foreign correspondent for the Times, based in Switzerland and France.

Morgenstern became an entertainment reporter for the New York Herald Tribune in 1959, later advancing to theater/music critic.

Beginning in 1965 until 1983 Morgenstern was film critic for Newsweek. During this time, his most famous review was when he initially panned Bonnie and Clyde and then reconsidered his opinion seriously enough to retract it in the next issue. That proved a golden marketing opportunity for Warner Brothers to attract interest in the film by noting it made a major film critic change his mind about its virtues. From 1983 to 1988 he wrote a column for the Los Angeles Herald Examiner.

Morgenstern, presently based in Santa Monica, California, has written movie reviews for the Wall Street Journal since May 1995. His movie reviews appear each Friday in the "Weekend & Leisure" section of the newspaper, and he covers the movie industry in a column which appears every other Saturday. He also writes movie reviews for CNBC.

Anjelica Huston /ˈhjuːstən/ (born July 8, 1951) is an American actress. Huston became the third generation of her family to win an Academy Award, for her performance in 1985's Prizzi's Honor, joining her father, director John Huston, and grandfather, actor Walter Huston. She later was nominated in 1989 and 1990 for her acting in Enemies, a Love Story and The Grifters respectively. Among her roles, she starred as Morticia Addams in The Addams Family (1991) and Addams Family Values (1993), receiving Golden Globe nominations for both. Huston also played the Grand High Witch in the children's movie Witches, TheThe Witches in 1990 and is, more recently, known for her frequent collaborations with director Wes Anderson. She currently stars on the NBC musical drama, Smash.

Anjelica Huston was born in Santa Monica, California, and is the daughter of director and actor John Huston and Italian–American prima ballerina Enrica 'Ricki' (née Soma), from New York. Huston spent most of her childhood in Ireland and England. She grew up in Saint Clerans House near Craughwell, County Galway. In 1969, she began taking a few small roles in her father's movies. In that same year, her mother, who was 39 years old, died in a car accident, and Huston relocated to the US, where she modeled for several years. While she modeled, she worked with photographers such as Richard Avedon and Bob Richardson.

Joseph Ahrens (April 17, 1904, Sommersell – December 21, 1997, Berlin) was a German composer and organist.

Ahrens received early training in organ and choral music, and studied at the Berlin Staatlich Akademie für Kirchen- und Schulmusik from 1925 to 1928 under Alfred Sittard, Max Seiffert, and Wilhelm Middelschulte. In 1928 he became a docent at the school. Between 1931 and 1940 Ahrens was the organist for the Berliner Philharmoniker, simultaneously serving as the organist for the Cathedral of St. Hedwig after 1934. From 1945 to 1957 he was organist at the Salvatorkirche in Berlin-Wilmersdorf. Taking a professorship in church music at the Berlin Hochschule für Musik in 1945, he remained there until 1969, serving as deputy director from 1954 to 1958.

Ahrens was a noted organ improviser. His compositions often combined elements of prior liturgical music styles (such as Gregorian chant) with modern techniques like dodecaphony. A large portion of his output is written for the Catholic Church.

Thomas Morgenstern (born 30 October 1986 in Spittal an der Drau) is an Austrian ski jumper. Having won the world cup twice, the Four Hills Tournament and the Nordic Tournament once each, the Grand Prix three times, and 12 gold medals at world championships and Olympic games, he is one of the most successful contemporary jumpers.

Thomas Morgenstern is one of the biggest natural ski jumping talents in Austria. After winning three continental cup events (out of four starts), he made his ski jumping debut at the 2002–03 Four Hills Tournament. He finished 9th in Oberstdorf, 25th in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, 9th in Innsbruck and 6th in Bischofshofen, finishing up as 10th in the final ranking. Five days after the end of the tournament, he won his first World Cup jump, in Liberec, Czech Republic. In the following summer, he won the Ski jumping Grand Prix for his first time.

He continued his success well into the 2003–04 season. He was second overall to Sigurd Pettersen during most of the Four Hills tournament, finally ending up in fourth place. He won his first team medal with a 3rd place at the Ski-Flying World Championships.

Barbara Morgenstern (born March 19, 1971) is a German electronic music artist who has released seven full-length albums and seven EPs.

Born in Hagen, Germany, Morgenstern describes herself as self-taught, although she had piano lessons as a child and jazz lessons at the school of music in Hagen. In addition to having played in a band, she decided on a career in music in 1991 after completing her schooling at the Ernst Meister Gymnasium in Hagen-Haspe.

From 1992 until 1994 Barbara Morgenstern lived in Hamburg, working on her own music as well as singing in an a cappella group. She took part in a six-week popular music course at the Hamburg Hochschule. In 1994 she moved to Berlin, where she initially played keyboards in a band, and from 1996 onward she concentrated on her own music.

In early 1997 Morgenstern released the cassette Enter The Party through Hausfrau Im Schacht, a mail order label set up by former bandmate Florian Dietz (a.k.a. Jo Tabu). Later that same year she released the EP Plastikreport, which she produced in tandem with Michael Mühlhaus, later to join Blumfeld. In the winter of 1998, she toured Germany with backing from Christian Obermaier and the aforementioned Mühlhaus on bass guitar, and in September of that year, she toured Germany, Austria and Switzerland with other Berlin-based musicians including Quarks, Jo Tabu and Fuschimuschi. The following month saw the release of her first full-length album Vermona ET 6-1 on the Monika Enterprise label. 1999 saw the release of a remix EP, Fan No.1.
