FIVE SEXUAL ASSAULTS IN NEWMARKET BELIEVED TO BE LINKED
Investigators with the York Regional Police Special Victims Unit are seeking public assistance to identify a suspect wanted in connection with five sexual assaults in the Town of Newmarket.
The first incident took place on Tuesday, August 18, 2015, at approximately 5:50 p.m. A 19-year-old woman was walking down a pathway along the north fence of the Upper Canada Mall Parking lot. She walked past a man on the trail near Gail Parks Crescent. The male suspect turned around, ran up behind the victim and grabbed her buttocks. Following the attack, the suspect ran eastbound down the path and jumped over the fence into the Upper Canada Mall parking lot. The victim was not physically injured during this incident.
In a second similar incident on Tuesday, September 8, 2015, at approximately 7:30 a.m., a 34-year-old female victim was walking on a sidewalk in the Upper Canada Mall parking lot from Matthew Boyd Crescent. The victim stopped to send a text message and was approached by a man from behind who grabbed her buttocks.
In a third similar incident on Tuesday, September 8, 2015, at approximately 2:30 p.m., a 17-year-old victim was walking north from Upper Canada Mall and walked into the subdivision on Gail Park Crescent. She was approached by a male wearing a hooded sweatshirt with the hood pulled over his face. The suspect grabbed the victim’s buttocks and then ran away towards the residential area.
In a fourth similar incident on Friday, September 25, 2015, at approximately 9:25 a.m., York Regional Police responded to a report that a male suspect approached an 18-year-old female victim walking Aspenwood Drive. He pushed her to the ground and attempted to remove her clothing. The assault was interrupted by a passerby and the suspect ran away. The victim did not suffer any serious physical injuries during the incident.
In a fifth similar incident on Tuesday, October 13, 2015, at approximately 11:30 a.m., a female victim was walking through the parking lot of a grocery store on the southwest corner of Yonge Street and Green Lane. The 29-year-old victim was approached from behind and the suspect grabbed her buttocks.
The suspect fled the area on foot.
Suspect Description:
• Male, white, 20 to 25 years
• Approximately 5’5”, 125 to 130 lbs., thin build
• Wearing a hoodie with the hood up and pants
Investigators believe the suspect is targeting small-statured, thin females, who may be distracted by using their mobile phones or listening to music through headphones.
York Regional Police wants to remind members of the public to use extra caution and always be aware of your surroundings. If you observe someone acting suspiciously, trust your instincts, move to a safe location and seek help. Call the police as soon as possible. If you are the victim of a sexual assault, please call police immediately.

York (

Upper Canada
The Province of Upper Canada (French: province du Haut-Canada) was a part of British Canada established in 1791 by the United Kingdom to govern the central third of the lands in British North America and to accommodate Loyalist refugees of the United States after the American Revolution. The new province remained, for the next fifty years of growth and settlement, the colonial government of the territory.
Upper Canada existed from 26 December 1791 to 10 February 1841 and generally comprised present-day Southern Ontario. The "upper" prefix in the name reflects its geographic position being closer to the headwaters of the Saint Lawrence River than that of Lower Canada (or present-day Quebec) to the northeast.
Upper Canada included all of modern-day Southern Ontario and all those areas of Northern Ontario in the Pays d'en Haut which had formed part of New France, essentially the watersheds of the Ottawa River or Lakes Huron and Superior (excluding any lands within the watershed of Hudson Bay).

Canada (i/ˈkænədə/; French: [ka.na.da]) is a country in the northern part of North America. Its ten provinces and three territories extend from the Atlantic to the Pacific and northward into the Arctic Ocean, covering 9.98 million square kilometres (3.85 million square miles), making it the world's second-largest country by total area and the fourth-largest country by land area. Canada's border with the United States is the world's longest land border. Canada is sparsely populated, the majority of its land territory being dominated by forest and tundra and the Rocky Mountains; about four-fifths of the country's population of 35 million people live near the southern border. The majority of Canada has a cold or severely cold winter climate, but southerly areas are warm in summer.
The land now called Canada has been inhabited for millennia by various Aboriginal peoples. Beginning in the 15th century, British and French colonies were established on the Atlantic coast, with the first establishment of a region called "Canada" occurring in 1537. As a consequence of various conflicts, the United Kingdom gained and lost territories within British North America until left, in the late 18th century, with what mostly geographically comprises Canada today. Pursuant to the British North America Act, on July 1, 1867, the colonies of Canada, New Brunswick, and Nova Scotia joined to form the autonomous federal Dominion of Canada. This began an accretion of provinces and territories to the self-governing Dominion to the present ten provinces and three territories forming modern Canada. In 1931, Canada achieved near total independence from the United Kingdom with the Statute of Westminster 1931, and full sovereignty was attained when the Canada Act 1982 removed the last remaining ties of legal dependence on the British parliament.

Investigators with the York Regional Police Special Victims Unit are seeking public assistance to identify a suspect wanted in connection with five sexual assaults in the Town of Newmarket.
The first incident took place on Tuesday, August 18, 2015, at approximately 5:50 p.m. A 19-year-old woman was walking down a pathway along the north fence of the Upper Canada Mall Parking lot. She walked past a man on the trail near Gail Parks Crescent. The male suspect turned around, ran up behind the victim and grabbed her buttocks. Following the attack, the suspect ran eastbound down the path and jumped over the fence into the Upper Canada Mall parking lot. The victim was not physically injured during this incident.
In a second similar incident on Tuesday, September 8, 2015, at approximately 7:30 a.m., a 34-year-old female victim was walking on a sidewalk in the Upper Canada Mall parking lot from Matthew Boyd Crescent. The victim stopped to send a text message and was approached by a man from behind who grabbed her buttocks.
In a third similar incident on Tuesday, September 8, 2015, at approximately 2:30 p.m., a 17-year-old victim was walking north from Upper Canada Mall and walked into the subdivision on Gail Park Crescent. She was approached by a male wearing a hooded sweatshirt with the hood pulled over his face. The suspect grabbed the victim’s buttocks and then ran away towards the residential area.
In a fourth similar incident on Friday, September 25, 2015, at approximately 9:25 a.m., York Regional Police responded to a report that a male suspect approached an 18-year-old female victim walking Aspenwood Drive. He pushed her to the ground and attempted to remove her clothing. The assault was interrupted by a passerby and the suspect ran away. The victim did not suffer any serious physical injuries during the incident.
In a fifth similar incident on Tuesday, October 13, 2015, at approximately 11:30 a.m., a female victim was walking through the parking lot of a grocery store on the southwest corner of Yonge Street and Green Lane. The 29-year-old victim was approached from behind and the suspect grabbed her buttocks.
The suspect fled the area on foot.
Suspect Description:
• Male, white, 20 to 25 years
• Approximately 5’5”, 125 to 130 lbs., thin build
• Wearing a hoodie with the hood up and pants
Investigators believe the suspect is targeting small-statured, thin females, who may be distracted by using their mobile phones or listening to music through headphones.
York Regional Police wants to remind members of the public to use extra caution and always be aware of your surroundings. If you observe someone acting suspiciously, trust your instincts, move to a safe location and seek help. Call the police as soon as possible. If you are the victim of a sexual assault, please call police immediately.

Summer in NYC isn't really summer until you get your butt on a rooftop. My pick was Jimmy Rooftop. Sunday's after 3pm are bomb! Amazing music courtesy of DJ Cato. I believe it is doorman discretion, which means, dress your best and don't travel with a bunch of dudes. You get an amazing view of the sun setting over the Hudson River and you get to splash around in the pool if you so choose. I chose this spot because I used to work here and loved it!

Yes! Go to Church! After you party it up Saturday night or Sunday afternoon bring your sinful behind to this awesome church! You don't have to be religious to attend. Most journeys begin at Penn Station or Grand Central, and if you arrive at the later you'll be wowed by the building. The Meatpacking District was once home to markets, slaughterhouses, and packaging plants, but times have changed. Today you'll find a mixture of trendy restaurants, clubs and boutiques. The Village used to be a bohemian neighborhood that drew artists and musicians, but today you're more likely to find upper middle class families living here. Completed in 1883, Brooklyn Bridge is one of the oldest suspension bridges in the United States. Williamsburg has become popular given its lower rent prices. University students and young professionals have been flocking to this part of town.
You can walk along the riverfront for a great view of the Brooklyn and Manhattan Bridges and the Manhattan skyline. During the summer months, Bryant Park also becomes a popular hangout spot people looking to relax and even work on their tans. The Staten Island Ferry is free of charge and this makes it really popular with visitors who want to catch a glimpse of the Statue of Liberty from a distance. Battery Park is located on the southern tip of Manhattan. Having both lived in South Korea, we were thrilled to come across Manhattan's own Little Korea. Coney Island is all about good old fashioned fun. The Cloisters will make you feel like you've travelled over to Europe. Central Park is massive and there are so many places to visit within its boundaries. We managed to visit Belvedere Castle, the Great Lawn, Shakespeare Garden, The Ramble, The Jackie Onassis Reservoir, the Alice in Wonderland Statue, and we still left feeling like we barely scratched the surface.
And that concludes a look at our very busy week in New York City. I'm still shocked we managed to cover so many attractions, but the great thing about this city is that distances aren't very long and there's always something really cool worth checking out around each corner. New York continues to be one of the world’s most famous cities, a true world metropolis and major symbol of the American Dream. Manhattan Island is the city’s most well known district and the Rockefeller Center in Midtown is often referred to as the heart of the New York. Nearby the Roman Catholic Saint Patrick´s Cathedral is the largest and most magnificent church in the United States. The Grand Central Terminal divides Park Avenue and is a huge station with which the railroad kings, the Venderbilts, left an indelible mark. The huge hall, with its magnificent vaulted ceiling in Beaux Arts style, has been the city’s central railway station for twelve lines since 1913. The confines of Chinatown are inhabited by a hundred and fifty thousand Chinese from China, Taiwan and Hong Kong, most of whom are unable to speak a word of English. Chinese characters wherever one looks and restaurants and Asian stores on every street corner. The famous Wall Street was named after a wall which in the early days protected the growing city against attack by Native American Indians. However, the roots of its subsequent claim to fame were laid in 1792. The young state desperately needed investment and therefore the powers that be decided to issue bonds. Close by, on a small island, is New York’s most famous landmark, the Statue Of Liberty. The head of Lady Liberty leads to the crown from which there are stunning views from several windows. New York City is most certainly unique. A city that’s very much alive and kicking, self-confident and always a surprise!

Located in Southern Ontario on the northwestern shore of Lake Ontario, Toronto is situated on a broad sloping plateau intersected by an extensive network of rivers, deep ravines, and urban forest.[31] It anchors the Golden Horseshoe, a densely populated region surrounding the western end of Lake Ontario that is home to 8.7 million people,[32] or around 26% of the entire population of Canada.[33] The demographics of Toronto make it one of the world's most diverse cities,[20][21] with about 50% of residents having been born in a country other than Canada,[34] and over 200 distinct ethnic origins represented among its inhabitants.[35] The vastly international population of the city reflects its current and historical role as an important destination for immigrants to Canada.[34][36] While English is the primary language spoken by the majority of Torontonians, there are over 160 different languages spoken in the city.[37]
