MinimOSD is a very inexpensive way to add a useful, exciting on screen display (OSD) to your first person view (FPV) flights.

so we are all aware, i ended up going with 343MM long rods...
and ill keep the same endefector... but i moved the rail's in about 1.5" so it works well... i know i know... metric and standard.. if i had a metric tape measure i would use it!!!!! :) hint hint.. send stuff to me... address is on my web page...

The G-OSD3 from HobbyKing is probably the cheapest OSD (On Screen Display) for FPV (First Person View) Flying which displays accurate LOS distance by GPS.

The G-OSD3 from HobbyKing is probably the cheapest OSD (On Screen Display) for FPV (First Person View) Flying which displays accurate LOS distance by GPS.
At 40bucks, you get readings of batteries' voltages, altitude, distance ran and a graphical illustration showing where your base position is. The base is denoted by letter "B" which keeps moving around your aircraft which is an inverted "T" letter. This is a useful feature which allows you to navigate back home. Even on the ground, the accuracy of this feature is seen at more than 25m away from the starting position. When the base ("B") is at 6 o'clock, I turned my quadcopter 180 degrees and immediately the "B" moved to 12 o'clock, which is pretty impressive. My only complaint are the current reading is inactive (can't program it to work) and the GPS takes a long time to lock on (about 15 seconds longer than my Naza GPS).

Note: DJI also use Yellow and Brown instead of White and Black for their Signal and Ground lines from the Phantom 2 to distinguish them from the Red and Brown for the power lines which you should NEVER connect to a GoPro or similar camera.
