Aadesh Shrivastav singer-composer battling blood cancer at Kokilaben Hospital passed away midnight and he was just 51. Aadesh who was battling with cancer from last 40 days couldn’t recuperate though doctors tried their best.
Aadesh is survived by Vijeta Pandit, former actress and sister of Jatin-Lalit duo.
Brother in law Lalit Pandit said that chemotherapy is not working on Shrivastav and they are tryong alternate theory and Aadesh too is fighting bravely.
When Aadesh was admitted he was in critical condition. Music composer of Kabhi Khushi Kabhi GHam, Baghban, Baabul, Chalte Chalte, Rajneeti and recently released Welcome Back.
He was one of the voice of Amitabh and Amitji has been regularly keeping check on his health, Shah Rukh too had visited the music composer and Tina Ambani regularly kept an eye on giving him special care at her hospital.
It is loss of Music Industry of Bollywood. Rest in peace Aadesh Shrivastav.

Ravi composed music for over 70 Hindi and 14 Malayalam films.
He had no formal training in classical music but learned music from listening to his father sing bhajans. He taught himself to play harmonium and other classical instruments and worked as an electrician to support his family.
In 1950 he decided to shift to Bombay and become a professional singer. At first Ravi was homeless, living on the streets and sleeping in Malad Railway station at night.
In 1952, he was discovered by late music director Husnalal-Bhagatram and singer Hemant Kumar who hired him to sing backing vocals in Vande Mataram from the film Anand Math. This entire background explains Ravi’s music - a limited liability company.
But, to give credit where credit is due, even with Ravi’s talent, I couldn’t have made it as a music director because talent alone doesn’t get you work. Heck, I couldn’t have made it even if I had S.D. Burman’s talent because without the ability of networking to sell yourself, to put yourself in good light with persuasive words, all the talent and the resourcefulness in the world wouldn’t get you anywhere unless perhaps lady-luck puts you in the right place at the right time.
This world is often not about talent - latent or otherwise - but about results. Ravi showed results but popularity (result) is never a good yardstick of quality or talent. Shakespeare, Oscar Wilde, Somerset Maugham were as successful as today’s soap opera novelists and Stephen King.
Aside from Baar Baar Dekho from China Town and Yeh Lucknow Ki Sarjami, Aai Meri Zohra Jabeen, Mera Yaar Bana Hai Dulha, the other Ravi song I hummed was Asha Bhonsle’s Aaj Yeh Meri Zindagi from Yeh Raaste Hain Pyaar Ke (1963). It was a melodious song set in waltz dance rhythm. Unfortunately the film director failed in picturizing it. But my most favorite Ravi song is Asha Bhonsle’s Zindagi Ki Ulzanon Ko Bhoolakar, Aaj Mastee Mein Gujaaro Raatabhar, Subaha Jaba Hogi To Dekha Jayega… from Nartaki (1963). It is the only song that ex-electrician Ravi managed to infuse with electricity.

He is also an anchor of the Trade show ETC Bollywood Business on the Bollywood TV channels ETC and Zee Cinema. The show airs daily on weekdays at 8:30 pm in India and at 7:30 pm in the UK. On Mondays, the show is about the previous fridays collections. On Tuesday and Wednesday, Nahta speaks to various artists from the film industry. Thursdays preview films releasing on Friday. On Fridays, Nahta will be review films released on that day. The show launched the first episode with Sajid Nadiadwala as the guest. He is also the Editor of Entertainment website www.koimoi.com He has also given a special appearance in the 2010 comedy, Tees Maar Khan, along with Akshay Kumar, Katrina Kaif and Akshaye Khanna.

Plot: Circa 1960s Lucknow-based author Zafar Ali Naqvi, who has issues with his father and his four wives, including the 4th one who lusts after him, re-locates to Bombay, starts writing for movies, and falls in love with starlet Nikhat Sheikh. Both decide to get married but cancel the plans at the last minute after she finds out that her mother and her live-in boyfriend, Michael, have gambled all her savings. Brother in law Lalit Pandit said that chemotherapy is not working on Shrivastav and they are tryong alternate theory and Aadesh too is fighting bravely.
When Aadesh was admitted he was in critical condition. Music composer of Kabhi Khushi Kabhi GHam, Baghban, Baabul, Chalte Chalte, Rajneeti and recently released Welcome Back.
He was one of the voice of Amitabh and Amitji has been regularly keeping check on his health, Shah Rukh too had visited the music composer and Tina Ambani regularly kept an eye on giving him special care at her hospital.
It is loss of Music Industry of Bollywood. Rest in peace Aadesh Shrivastav.

Ravi composed music for over 70 Hindi and 14 Malayalam films.
He had no formal training in classical music but learned music from listening to his father sing bhajans. He taught himself to play harmonium and other classical instruments and worked as an electrician to support his family.
In 1950 he decided to shift to Bombay and become a professional singer. At first Ravi was homeless, living on the streets and sleeping in Malad Railway station at night.
In 1952, he was discovered by late music director Husnalal-Bhagatram and singer Hemant Kumar who hired him to sing backing vocals in Vande Mataram from the film Anand Math. This entire background explains Ravi’s music - a limited liability company.
But, to give credit where credit is due, even with Ravi’s talent, I couldn’t have made it as a music director because talent alone doesn’t get you work. Heck, I couldn’t have made it even if I had S.D. Burman’s talent because without the ability of networking to sell yourself, to put yourself in good light with persuasive words, all the talent and the resourcefulness in the world wouldn’t get you anywhere unless perhaps lady-luck puts you in the right place at the right time.
This world is often not about talent - latent or otherwise - but about results. Ravi showed results but popularity (result) is never a good yardstick of quality or talent. Shakespeare, Oscar Wilde, Somerset Maugham were as successful as today’s soap opera novelists and Stephen King.
Aside from Baar Baar Dekho from China Town and Yeh Lucknow Ki Sarjami, Aai Meri Zohra Jabeen, Mera Yaar Bana Hai Dulha, the other Ravi song I hummed was Asha Bhonsle’s Aaj Yeh Meri Zindagi from Yeh Raaste Hain Pyaar Ke (1963). It was a melodious song set in waltz dance rhythm. Unfortunately the film director failed in picturizing it. But my most favorite Ravi song is Asha Bhonsle’s Zindagi Ki Ulzanon Ko Bhoolakar, Aaj Mastee Mein Gujaaro Raatabhar, Subaha Jaba Hogi To Dekha Jayega… from Nartaki (1963). It is the only song that ex-electrician Ravi managed to infuse with electricity.

Some of the most beautiful songs of Lata Mangeshkar
Chitragupt Shrivastava, the famous music composer of Hindi cinema was born in a village Karmaini, Bihar on 16 November, 1917. He had a double MA, in Economics ∓ in Journalism. He worked as a lecturer in Patna before he ran away to Bombay to pursue a career as a composer in films. He assisted S. N. Tripathi for some time before he got an independent opportunity with Ramnik Vaidya in 1946. He tasted success after a lot of struggle in 1952 with the release of Sindbad The Sailor, the duet 'Adaa Se Jhoomte Hue..', beacme a hit.
Chitragupt was also a good singer and lyricist. He worked with all the major lyricists of the time like, Majrooh Sultanpuri, Rajinder Krishan, Anand Bakshi, Prem Dhawan and even Sahir Ludhianvi. After Sahir Ludhianvi agreed to write to the tunes Chitragupt composed, they produced some wonderful songs for Vaasna - 'Ye Parbaton Ke Daayre..' and 'Itni Naazuk Na Bano..'. When it came to Bhojpuri films, Chitragupt was the ruling king; He composed music for some very memorable Bhojpuri films like, 'Ganga Maiya Tohe Piyari Chadhaube', 'Laagi Naahi Chhute Rama' and 'Gangaa'. He also composed the music for a few Punjabi and Gujarati films.
He suffered a heart attack in 1968 and a paralytic stroke in 1974. He died on the 14th of January 1991. His children include Anand and Milind, the famous composer duo who created some memorable songs for Mansoor Khan's Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak.
