Back with a bang(er)!

Not posted for a while as been a tad busy with many other things.
However, here's back with a corker.
A big Parky tune back int' day!
Love everything about this track, intro, build up, vocals, lyrics, piano, top notch!
Lovely!
"Feel the Spirit" indeed!!

Giant City - Feel The Spirit

R.I.P. to a true pop Legend!

David Bowie never really touched the dancefloor too much but he was a true inspiration for many people a bona fide icon, legend and innovator.
His only real flirtations with the club dancefloors as we know it was this track (and the Placebo B.I.R. remix) and like anything B.I.R. touched it was pure gold dust.
I remember first hearing this on Pete Tong Essential Selection show on Friday night back in 1993 when it was "tune of the week".
That was back in the day when we used to tape off the radio (remember that? You probably won't unless you are over 40).
I they repeatedly played the track to death, until I was able to get it on vinyl and I still have that 12" stored away somewhere in the garage.
The track was just awesome, as with all B.I.R remixes it built and built and then exploded.
I've posted this track previously on the PCC blog back in February 2009 (wow, how time flies).
R.I.P. Mr Bowie - legend is a vastly over used word, but you were certainly one.

David Bowie - Jump They Say
(Brothers In Rhythm Remix)

Always a pleasure!

"I've got, I've got, got your pleasure!"
"I've got, I've got, got your pleasure!"
"I've got, I've got, got your pleasure!"
A tad cheesy, but always a catchy little number to hum along to on the dancefloor!

Pan Position - Elephant Paw
(Club Mix)

Ones that never go away!

There were some tracks that were played at every club by every DJ.
This was one of them.
This track was omnipresent back in 1992 and every time it went away out came more remixes.
Still sounds great.

Pamela Fernandez - Kickin' In The Beat
(Extended Dance Mix)

Feel the natural high?

2 very different remixes but both are absolutely top notch.
I think the K Klass mix edges it for me.
Stunning! Just love that piano.

People Get Ready - Natural High
(High Over The Moon Mix)

People Get Ready - Natural High
(K Klass Instrumental Mix)

Remember who you are!

Top notch trance.
Spell binding this one.
Get on it.
A lot more recent than most of my trance posts, but it show that there was still some good trance created post 2000.

Deadmau5 & Kaskade - I Remember
(Extended Main Vocal Mix)

Join the journey!

Usual top quality remix work by Adam K and Soha.
Their trance is always right on the button.
This is as smooth as silk.
Enjoy!!

Serge Devant & Emma Hewitt - Take Me With You
(Adam K & Soha Club Mix)

Can you be my alibi?

Top notch this one.
K-Klass right on the money with the remix.
Exemplary vocal from Jocelyn as you'd expect.
Quality house music!!

Camboso Featuring Jocelyn Brown
- Love Alibi
(K-Klass K Klassic Club Remix)

Enjoy the freedom!

Just stick with this one, once it stops thinking it's a rave track for the first 2 mins, then the quality kicks in.
This was typical of a lot of tracks from the '91 era, they were trying to hard to be ravey.
However, t's worth the wait, a quality piano laden stomper.
Shame about the first 2 mins, but stick with it, it's a good 'un.

Awesome 3 - Freedom Of Life
(Free 12")

Feel the Blast!

A bit of a biggie this one.
Hammered in all self respecting clubs and played by all the top Jocks.
Still sounds quality today (even though 21 years old).
Love that piano.
Tops!

Blast - Crazy Man
(F.O.S. In Progress)

Children of the world join together!

Another banger.
Hold on to your hats children!
Feel the power of that piano!!

Moseph Cat - My Children

What would you like to do to me???

An absolutely belting track, given a glorious working over by the sensational JotPW.
A top track this one.
If you like your trance deep down and dirty, this one's for you!
JotPW was a complete ledge, back in the day. Top jock in a frock!
Many of his sets were pure quality and at the time he was certainly one of the most exciting DJ's on the circuit!

Eurogroove - It's On You (Scan Me)
(Jon Of The Pleased Wimmin Club Mix)

Gloria....

Love this and always have.
A top little Balearic number.
Love the piano in it.
Proper end of night tune!
P.S. In case you were wondering the picture is a Latin model called Gloria!

R.J. And The Family - Gloria
(Club Version)

Love can do.... just about anything!

Nothing fancy about this one, just a good old piano banga from back int' day.
Italian house like we know and used to love back in '89.
Enjoy!

Blue Tattoo - Love Can Do
(Original Mix)

Your paradise eyes!

If you go away, I would like to say!
Love this track along with Melodies of Passion.
Still sounds amazing after all these years.
It's nearly 25 years old.
The piano is exquisite!
Quality never dies!

Andy On The Eve - If You Go Away

Have no jealousy!

I know I shouldn't really be putting Will Young on the PCC blog, but apologies I really like this track.
A cracking remix by Moto Blanco and some excellent vocals by Mr Young.
A top track, a tad commercial but good all the same.

Will Young - Jealousy
(Moto Blanco Club Mix)

Beware of the poltergeist!

Always loved this one.
A true Oakey banger.
He absolutely hammered this and rightly so.
Proper trance corker!

Poltergeist - Vicious Circles
(Union Jack Remix)

Never knew?

A cracking little track this one.
Two mixes here.
The Danny Tenaglia mix is more underground, whilst the Reverend Jefferson reason is very upbeat and lively.
Both very good though!

Oleta Adams - Never Knew
(Reverend Jefferson Mix)

Oleta Adams - Never Knew
(Danny Tenaglia Mercury Club Mix)

Gets me everytime!

A cracking little remix by Above & Beyond.
Not much of Britney in it, but that's probably a good thing.

Britney Spears - Everytime
(Above & Beyond Club Mix)

Let's dance - no time for romance?

Oooh aah!
It's very rare that I ever post anything that is current (mainly because all the dance music nowadays is absolute tosh), but this little number caught my ear.
Yes, I know it's cheesey and it meanders a long a bit, but that piano break on 1.55 is pure joy.
Are you with me?

Martin Solveig & GTA - Intoxicated
(Original Club Mix)

Are you ready for the awakening?

Another trance stormer this one.
Tinged with some delightful piano.
A trance classic - me thinks!

York - The Awakening
(Quake Remix)

I need a release - happiness!

Just a corking track this one.
Lively as hell with some delicious piano and just a really good hands in the air feel good factor.
I defy you not to have a smile on your face and your foot tapping along to this one.
Great vocals also.
Jeanie Tracy - top vocalist!!

Wand featuring Jeanie Tracy - Happiness
(Club Mix)

Batten down the hatches - this will blow the roof off!

A real trance stormer.
This one is right on the button.
Fierce in every sense!
Enjoy!

Rank 1 - Symfo
(Official Sunrise Festival Theme 2009)

Get on the train!

This was always a real banger when played out in clubs.
Granted it takes a while to warm up but then explodes on 2.31 and really takes off.
We like 'em like that!!

Escrima - Train Of Thought
(12" Mix)

The greatest trance track of all time? Quite possibly!!

Now I don't make that statement likely as I've always been a huge fan of trance.
Most notably the type Oakey was playing in the late 90's and not the commercial crap.
This track has it all, a huge build, unbelievable breakdowns, the drum roll builds.
Totally immense.
(Tiesto and Corsten on the mix - Respect!)
If there's a better trance track let me know and I'll probably tell you that you're wrong!!
I know I've posted this before, but I couldn't resist a re-post.
Enjoy, they don't come any better.

Binary Finary - 1999
(Gouryella Remix)

Saturday, 8 August 2015

Just another day (in paradise!)

I can't quite believe that I haven't posted this before now.
One of the greatest trance tracks of all time.
This used to be a huge fave of mine (and still is).
When Oakey dropped this the dancefloor erupted.
The track gets more and more intense and then some more.
At 5.30 mins in it gives me goosebumps every-time!
Immense!!

Skip Raiders featuring Jada - Just Another Day
(Perfecto Mix)

Saturday, 1 August 2015

Set your spirit free, it's the only way to be!!

The Spice Girls never sounded so good, but that's probably because it isn't them!
A fantastic re-working - totally love this track.
It's taken me ages to track this down.
Dedicated to Allison and Ed - two special people.
Enjoy!

Wildside - 2 Become 1
(F.T. & Company Edit)

Keep the promise!

A really great floaty trance track.
Typical Space Brothers quality.
Love it.

Essence - The Promise
(The Space Brothers Rethink Remix)

Posted twice, cos' it's just great!

I first posted this track back in 2009 and felt it worthy of re-post, as it is so damn good.
I heard it again the other day after not listening to it for ages.
It still touched all the right buttons.
The piano is still spine tingling.
Pure Kevin Saunderson genius!
Huge goosebump moments on 5.17 - one of the great piano breakdown moments!
"Let the music lift you up"
Indeed!

Darlene Lewis - Let The Music (Lift You Up)
(Resse Inner City Club Mix)

In the night life - a-ha, that's where I wanna be!

A house classic and this is definitely the best version.
Quality vocals, classic house rhythm, beautiful piano.
What more could you want?
"In the night life - a-ha, that's where I wanna be!"

Kim English - Nite Life
(The Bump Classic Mix)

Bring it on Girlfriend!

Pretty much loved nearly all the Tin Tin Out remixes.
This is another stomper.
Never thought I'd be posting Billie Piper on the PCC Blog, but hey ho!
A corker I'm sure you'll agree.
Bring it on Girlfriend!

Billie - Girlfriend
(Tin Tin Out Mix)

Back to Terrorize you once again!

Although my clubbing preferences were always very much on the house side compared to the hardcore side.
There were some hardcore tracks which were still amazing.
This was one of them.
A tad cheesey??
Maybe, but also very instant and when that piano bit kicks - total hands in the air time.
This track came at a time back in 1992 that saw people either go down a house music path to the dressed up clubs like Back 2 Basics, Hard Times, Cream, Hacienda or the hardcore scene.
The only clubs which really then catered for an in between to this were places like Bowlers.
It was the end of an era, but the start of another.
Still a great track mind!

Terrorize - It's Just A Feeling

Just a little crush!

Morales at his very best in his a la Frankie mode.
Beautiful classic house music as smooth as you could wish for.
Both mixes are superb.
So good it lifts your soul!

Jennifer Paige - Crush
(David Morales Club Mix)

Jennifer Paige - Crush
(David Morales Alt. Club Body)

Oh yeah Oldskool baby!!

Old's Cool and always will be.
They even made tracks about it.
Just love this track.
The piano is great the vocal is cool and the track has a lovely laid back vibe.
Loving the Oldskool (as always).

Westbam and Nena - Oldschool, Baby
(Piano Mix)

You're the one that makes by day, makes everything ok!!

Always loved this track.
Both these mixes are great and I can never choose between.
The vocals are really stand out in the Love To Infinity mix, but if anything I just think the LME mix edges it.
It's pretty epic.
Love the lyrics also;
"You're the one that makes by day, makes everything ok"
"What else can I say"
Quality!

Nootropic - I See Only You
(Lisa Marie Vocal Experience)

Nootropic - I See Only You
(Love To Infinity's Deep Love Mix)

Somewhere out in the metropolis!

Corking track from The Future Sound of London with that ever so familiar piano riff used many times in many tracks.(Taken from Nikita Warren's - I Need You).
The other track called Metropolis was also pretty decent and worthy of a post in months to come.
Enjoy!

Metropolis - Hyporeel

Woah, Black Betty bam ba lam!!

Probably not what you'd expect on the PCC site, but if you've ever heard this dropped in a club you know the effect it has on the dancefloor.
Right up there with Nirvana and other great rock tracks which dropped at the right time were awesome.
These were the tracks which made your night.
The ones you'd never forget.
This was the essence of Balearic!

Ram Jam - Black Betty

Feel the rain!

Not quite as instant as "The Phoenix", but all the same another cracking track from God Within aka Scott Hardkiss (R.I.P).
This one is much more mellow, but is a great piece of laid back floaty trance.
Get on it!

God Within - Raincry
(Original Mix)

See the stars!!

A quality piece of Indie Dance.
Always loved this and still do.
Class never fades.
Great remix.

Poppy Factory - Stars
(Flying Touchdown Mix)
