The guy is just trying to protect the place from vandals etc. We visited it to get some shots as we were in the area. Elwyn came as we were on our way out. All was fine. Just got a little hairy.
The bloke gets a lot of backlash but he was very friendly on his way in to the grounds in all fairness. I do generally feel sorry for the bloke for all the stick he puts up with. If you aren't funny with Elwyn he is the friendliest bloke you'll come across. You will be able to hear better with headphones on.

Elwyn History
In 1852, when Elwyn was founded, the "mission" at Villanova University was only ten years old. John Wanamaker, the first department store in the United States, would not open for another 24 years. The American Red Cross was almost 30 years away from its founding. And most people in America had never heard of Abraham Lincoln. Yet it was then that Alfred L. Elwyn joined other forward-thinking individuals to change the way children with intellectual and developmental disabilities were cared for.
A physician from Delaware County, Alfred L. Elwyn, traveled to Boston in 1849 for a meeting of the Association for the Advancement of Science. While in Boston, Elwyn visited an experimental classroom for children with intellectual disabilities taught by Dr. James Richards at the South Boston Institute for the Blind. When he returned to Philadelphia, Elwyn gathered a group of notable friends and professionals to discuss the state of care for children with special needs. It was common at that time for children and adults with intellectual disabilities and the mentally ill to be outcast from their families, to live on the street or to be jailed along with violent criminals. Elwyn thought that Pennsylvania could do better.
Later that year, Dr. Richards came to Philadelphia to speak to the group, telling them about his progress in Massachusetts. Three years later, in 1852, Dr. Elwyn opened a school in Germantown and convinced Dr. Richards to come to Philadelphia as its superintendent.
From its beginning as a small, ground-breaking school for 26 children, Elwyn has since grown into a diverse, multi-state human services organization serving individuals with a wide range intellectual, physical, behavioral and developmental disabilities. Today, Elwyn serves over 12,000 people with programs in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware and California. For over 158 years, Elwyn's mission has remained steadfast: to maximize the potential of the people we serve to help them lead productive, meaningful lives.

Human development is the process of growing to maturity. In biological terms, this entails growth from a one-celled zygote to an adult human being.
Biological development
General aspects
Fertilization occurs when the sperm successfully enters the ovum's membrane. The genetical material of the sperm and egg that combine to form a single cell, called a zygote, and the germinal stage of prenatal development commences. The germinal stage refers to the time from fertilization, through the development of the early embryo, up until implantation. The germinal stage is over at about 10 days of gestation.
The zygote contains a full complement of genetic material and develops into the embryo. Briefly, embryonic developments have four stages: the morula stage, the bastula stage, the gastrula stage, and the neurula stage. Prior to implantation, the embryo remains in a protein shell, the zona pellucida, and undergoes a series of cell divisions, called mitosis. A week after fertilization the embryo still has not grown in size, but hatches from the zona pellucida and adheres to the lining of the mother's uterus. This induces a decidual reaction, wherein the uterine cells proliferate and surround the embryo thus causing it to become embedded within the uterine tissue. The embryo, meanwhile, proliferates and develops both into embryonic and extra-embryonic tissue, the latter forming the fetal membranes and the placenta. In humans, the embryo is referred to as a fetus in the later stages of prenatal development. The transition from embryo to fetus is arbitrarily defined as occurring 8 weeks after fertilization. In comparison to the embryo, the fetus has more recognizable external features and a set of progressively developing internal organs. A nearly identical process occurs in other species.

North Wales
North Wales (Welsh: Gogledd Cymru) is the northernmost unofficial region of Wales. Retail, transport and educational infrastructure are centred on Wrexham, Rhyl, Colwyn Bay, Llandudno and Bangor. It is bordered to the south by the counties of Ceredigion and Powys in Mid Wales, and to the east by the counties of Shropshire in the West Midlands and Cheshire in North West England.
North Wales was traditionally divided into three regions: Upper Gwynedd (or Gwynedd above the Conwy), defined as the area north of the River Dyfi and west of the River Conwy); Lower Gwynedd (or Gwynedd below the Conwy, also known as the Perfeddwlad and defined as the region east of the River Conwy and west of the River Dee); and Ynys Môn (or Anglesey), a large island off the north coast..
The southern boundary is arbitrary and its definition may depend on the use being made of the term. For example, the boundary of North Wales Police differs from the boundary of the North Wales area of the Natural Resources Wales and the North Wales Regional Transport Consortium (Taith). The historic boundary follows the pre 1996 county boundaries of Merionethshire and Denbighshire which in turn closely follows the geographic features of the river Dovey to Aran Fawddwy, then crossing the high moorlands following the watershed until reaching Cadair Berwyn, and then following the river Rhaeadr and river Tanat to the Shropshire border. Montgomeryshire is sometimes referred to as being in northern (but not North) Wales.

The Transition meetings were held at Drexel University’s Academy of Natural Sciences for those eligible to transition September 2018. At the meeting, families were introduced to representatives from the School District of Philadelphia and Charter Schools as well as representatives from the Elwyn SEEDS Early Intervention program. Thanks for taking the time to view Elwyn SEEDS’ School Age Transition Meeting. The Transition meetings were held at Drexel University’s Academy of Natural Sciences for those eligible to transition September 2018. At the meeting, families were introduced to representatives from the School District of Philadelphia and Charter Schools as well as representatives from the Elwyn SEEDS Early Intervention program. Families received important information regarding the transition to Kindergarten process. As a parent, you are very important to the planning process. This video will enable you to receive the information that you need to have a successful transition into School Age programming. If you aren't funny with Elwyn he is the friendliest bloke you'll come across. You will be able to hear better with headphones on.

In 1852, when Elwyn was founded, the "mission" at Villanova University was only ten years old. John Wanamaker, the first department store in the United States, would not open for another 24 years. The American Red Cross was almost 30 years away from its founding. And most people in America had never heard of Abraham Lincoln. Yet it was then that Alfred L. Elwyn joined other forward-thinking individuals to change the way children with intellectual and developmental disabilities were cared for.
A physician from Delaware County, Alfred L. Elwyn, traveled to Boston in 1849 for a meeting of the Association for the Advancement of Science. While in Boston, Elwyn visited an experimental classroom for children with intellectual disabilities taught by Dr. James Richards at the South Boston Institute for the Blind. When he returned to Philadelphia, Elwyn gathered a group of notable friends and professionals to discuss the state of care for children with special needs. It was common at that time for children and adults with intellectual disabilities and the mentally ill to be outcast from their families, to live on the street or to be jailed along with violent criminals. Elwyn thought that Pennsylvania could do better.
Later that year, Dr. Richards came to Philadelphia to speak to the group, telling them about his progress in Massachusetts. Three years later, in 1852, Dr. Elwyn opened a school in Germantown and convinced Dr. Richards to come to Philadelphia as its superintendent.
From its beginning as a small, ground-breaking school for 26 children, Elwyn has since grown into a diverse, multi-state human services organization serving individuals with a wide range intellectual, physical, behavioral and developmental disabilities. Today, Elwyn serves over 12,000 people with programs in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware and California. For over 158 years, Elwyn's mission has remained steadfast: to maximize the potential of the people we serve to help them lead productive, meaningful lives.

Media, PA has a vibrant downtown with lots of restaurants, plenty of live music, historic architecture, unique shops, and theatre showing live musical performances. Roads are closed for special occasion block parties. Media is America's First Fair Trade Town and the only suburban town in the United States to have a trolley line end on its main street. Landmarks include Provident National Bank on State Street built in 1900 and designed in the Chateauesque style, Armory built in 1877 designed by William S. Price now houses the Pennsylvania Veterans' Museum and Trader Joe's, Presbyterian Church designed in the Greek Revival, impressive Delaware County Courthouse, and the Minshall House circa 1750.

Ride PATCO over bridge from Philly to Camden (driver's view).
The PATCO Speedline is a rapid transit system operated by the Port Authority Transit Corporation, which runs between Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and Camden County, New Jersey. The Speedline runs underground in Philadelphia, crosses the Delaware River on the Benjamin Franklin Bridge, runs underground in Camden, then runs above ground in New Jersey until the east end of the line. The Port Authority Transit Corporation and the Speedline are owned and controlled by the Delaware River Port Authority. Speedline operation began on February 15, 1969, with the first trip from Lindenwold, New Jersey, to Center City, Philadelphia. The line transports over 33,000 people daily, and operates 24 hours a day, one of only four U.S. rapid transit systems to do so.

This is a compilation video about mass transit around the Greater Philadelphia Area, which includes Amtrak, NJ Transit, PATCO, and SEPTA. Some of these videos were seen before and some were not. The first scene is at Ashland and Lindenwold in New Jersey, where NJ Transit Atlantic City Line and the PATCO High-Speed Line were taken after the morning rush hour ending on Black Friday (November 27, 2015). SEPTA's $11 day pass ($28 for families) offers a full day of unlimited travel on all modes of transport, plus a one-way trip on the Airport Rail Line (R1). It is sold at the visitor centre at 16th Street and JFK Boulevard and online. Weekly and monthly passes are also available.
The bright purple Phlash streetcar runs a continuous loop to the major attractions, from the Art Museum to Penn's Landing. Buses stop every 12 minutes at special Phlash lampposts and services operate daily from May through November.
The Freedom Ferry provides a ferry service between Penn's Landing, Walnut Street and Columbus Boulevard in Philadelphia, and the New Jersey State Aquarium, Federal Street and Riverside Drive in Camden, during the summer (May-Sep). Crossings take 12 minutes and leave every hour on Saturdays and Sundays. You can buy tickets at dockside terminals.
Taxis:
Taxis are easily hailed in the street throughout Center City. Taxi companies offering a telephone service include Yellow Cab Co (tel: (215) 333 3333), Liberty Cab Co (tel: (215) 389 8000), Quaker City Cab (tel: (215) 728 8000). Olde City Taxi: (215) 338 0838.
Driving:
With such a compact city centre and good public transport, you really don't need a car. However if you do have one, there are many parking lots and garages located around the city centre. On-street parking is also available in Center City but you should look at the posted signs for restrictions on when parking is allowed.
Car hire:
The minimum age for car hire is generally 25 years but some companies will hire cars to drivers aged between 21 and 24 years for a steep premium. If you want to hire a car, you'll need a full national driving licence. Liability insurance is costly but necessary. It is a good idea to check with your insurance company or your credit card to see if it includes hire car liability.
Bicycle hire:
Trophy Bikes, 3131 Walnut Street, hire out bicycles by the day. Prices include lock, helmet and map.

The second scene takes place in Norwood, Pennsylvania, where for some reason, only one Amtrak train was seen and the rest was SEPTA, taken on December 28, 2015 during the morning rush hour on the Wilmington/Newark Line and Northeast Corridor. The SEPTA trains going eastbound to Philadelphia are 2718 (led by Silverliner IV ???), 9212 (led by Comet II 2402 and pushed by AEM-7 2301), and 9214 (led by Silverliner V 850). The SEPTA trains going westbound to Newark, Delaware are 4213 (led by Silverliner V 706) and a deadhead train flying by (led by Silverliner IV 168). This is been a very popular topic for a great number of years but it's only been recently that energy deregulation has stepped into the forefront of not only the public's view, but from a legislative standpoint as well. While there are still a many states throughout the country that have no deregulation plan in place, states like Pennsylvania to on deregulation quite early on.
Energy Deregulation in Pennsylvania
The history of energy deregulation in Pennsylvania started in 1997. Up until then, all forms of energy available to businesses and consumers was heavily regulated by the government. That was until House Bill 1509 was introduced to the state legislator. This bill, titled the Electricity Generation Customer Choice and Competition Act, led the way for the beginning of energy deregulation in the state of Pennsylvania.
While the passage of this bill saw immediate implications and the breaking down of energy monopolies, the deregulation of energy wasn't officially completed until 2000. This led to hundreds of thousands of Pennsylvania residents switching their electric energy carriers in order to find the lowest prices for their energy needs.
While the deregulation of energy provided by House Bill 1509 was officially completed in 2000, the full freedom of deregulation was actually completed on December 31, 2010. Pursuant to stipulations in the Customer Choice and Competition Act, there were still rate caps that were in place for several different electric providers.
This meant that in some cases, if you were to switch your electric carrier from one provider to another, you may have actually been in line for a rate increase rather than a rate decrease which is what the deregulation of energy was purported to be offering consumers. However, once January 1, 2011 rolled around, all rate caps were eliminated and people were free to shop for the best prices on electricity without rate caps dictating how much savings they could actually see from switching carriers.
While the deregulation of energy has helped people to search out the best prices for their electricity, there has been some confusion as to how to choose the best provider for electricity. While competition has certainly helped in the ability people have to get a better price of their electricity, in some cases it may not be advisable for a person to switch electricity providers. For that reason, there are a few different websites that can help a person considering switching to make the right decision.
Much like the car insurance industry, the electricity industry in Pennsylvania offers a few different websites where all you need to do is type in your zip code and the website will compile a list of electricity providers in your area and you will also be able to see the average cost of the electricity through the various different providers. This comparison website can help you to see if switching carriers will make any difference in your electricity bills.
There is little doubt that hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of people by now have benefited from the deregulation of energy in the state of Pennsylvania. As these benefits begin to expand and become more significant, it's likely that the American people will see more states considering deregulation. If you are looking for better prices than what you're paying today, one of the best remedies for this situation is a little competition. That is precisely what deregulation offers.
