Baby Luma

Baby Luma (ベビィチコ, Bebi Chiko) is Mario's main companion in Super Mario Galaxy and its direct sequel Super Mario Galaxy 2.

In Super Mario Galaxy Baby Luma first finds Mario sleeping in the planet that houses the Gateway to the Starry Sky after he has been blasted out of the Mushroom World, and joins him at the request of Rosalina, aiding him in his quest to rescue Princess Peach from Bowser by allowing him to use the "Spin" move, which he can use to break crystals, attack enemies and further his jumps, among other things. In the ending of the game, Baby Luma sacrifices his life along his brethren to save the universe from a black hole.

Bom Bom

"Bom Bom" is a song by British-Dutch three-piece music group Sam and the Womp. The track was first released in the United Kingdom on 19 August 2012. For the chart week dated 1 September, "Bom Bom" debuted at number-one on the UK Singles Chart with 107,461 copies sold in its first week.

"Bom Bom" was produced by music producer and film composer Raz Olsher at Fossil Studios in Hackney, London. The song is written in the key of F minor.

A music video to accompany the release of "Bom Bom" was first released onto YouTube on 3 August 2012 at a total length of two minutes and 56 seconds.

Reception

Critical reception

Lewis Corner of Digital Spy gave the song a positive review, stating:

Lady Oo sing-speaks over an earworm hook of electronic reverb and bouncy brass that's as bonkers as it is addictive. While parts of the track may sound like Basil Brush attempting his best Björk impression at the staff BBQ, it results in a bizarrely catchy tune that we'll all pretend isn't on our iPods for years to come.

Sam and the Womp

Sam and the Womp are a three piece music group from the United Kingdom who formed in 2009. Their music mixes traditional elements of Balkan music with modern electronic and dance elements. Their music was largely popularised by BBC Radio 1 with a heavy promotion of their debut single "Bom Bom". This was released as a digital download on 19 August 2012 and went to the number one spot in the UK Singles Chart. As of 2012, they are signed to Stiff Records.

The band consists of Bloem de Ligny as lead singer, who is also a solo artist; Sam Ritchie on brass; and Aaron Horn (son of record producer Trevor Horn).

Formation

Sam and the Womp was formed in September 2009 when Ritchie's band Qdos joined forces with Horn.

2012–present: Debut single

Initially signed to Stiff Records, Sam and the Womp released "Bom Bom" under a licensing deal with One More Tune on 20 August 2012. The track gained further momentum after being used to soundtrack an international TV advertising campaign for Southern Comfort. Les Mills uses it for their biceps workout track in Body Pump. The song is also featured in the game Forza Horizon, The game The Sims 3: Island Paradise, on the Channel 4 TV show Big Fat Gypsy Weddings, and in an episode of the CBS TV program Elementary. Kmart Australia also featured the song in their 2013 series of TV commercials. The song has also been used in a series of Canadian TV commercials for the Joe Fresh line of clothing. The track went to number one in the UK Official Singles Chart in its first week of release.
