The Stimulus Act of 2009 has been working, and we appreciate that Jay Inslee supported it when he was in Congress. The Act has helped
create jobs in Liberty Lake, WA, and boost Washington employment in general.
The Demand Energy project in Liberty Lake, WA, will retain and create about 90 Liberty Lake jobs in the County of Spokane. As part of the 2009 Stimulus Package, the company Demand Energy received a $1. 5 million grant to make energy storage devices for on-site users of electricity.
Tens of thousands of jobs were also in the State of Washington by the Stimulus Act with
Jay Inslees support. The 2009 Act created over 1. 5 million jobs nation-wide, according to Moody's Economy. com and IHS Global Insight. The stimulus bill helped put Washington and the rest of the county to work at
*Fixing thousands of miles of roads
*Constructing wireless and broadband infrastructure
*Building flood prevention projects
*Cleaning up toxic waste sites
In the state of Washington, the Stimulus Bill also helped employ thousands of
*Firefighters
*Teachers
*Police officers
*And other professionals
Now Jay Inslee is running for Washington Governor against Rob McKenna, and we know Jay will continue to create jobs. Please see Inslee's well thought out plan to create a "Working Washington" and the website Recovery.wa.gov for more info.
