We’re messing with you. Who Wants to Be A Volunteer is – at least so far - not a reality show, and Africa is still not a country. But in our video, did you recognise the familiar stereotypes of how the African continent tends to be portrayed? Or the image of the “white hero” and the “exotic other”?
We need to change the way fundraising campaigns are communicating issues of poverty and development. This is why we are awarding creative fundraising campaigns with the Golden Radiator Award, and stereotypical campaigns with the Rusty Radiator Award. An international jury has nominated seven videos, and YOU get to decide the winners by VOTING NOW! Winners will be announced 2nd of December.

"This animal lovers program finds itself on a quite sanctuary-like farm, far away from any major city, deep in the very wild and beautiful African bush in the remote North West Province. Volunteers work to better the lives of a number of big cats including lions, white lions, cheetahs, and Bengal tigers, as well as other animals including elephants, zebra, and wildebeest. The amazing staff at this sanctuary works closely with the volunteers to teach about animal feeding, health, husbandry, and what it takes to run an animal reserve. As a volunteer, you will have the opportunity to do loads of incredible activities including horseback safaris, elephant walks, and playing with lion cubs. Volunteering is generally considered an altruistic activity, intended to promote good or improve human quality of life. It is considered as serving the society through own interest, personal skills or learning, which in return produces a feeling of self-worth and respect, instead of money. Volunteering is also famous for the skill development, to socialize and to have fun. It is also intended to make contacts for possible employment or for a variety of other reasons.
Volunteering takes many forms, and can be performed by anyone with own set of skills. Many volunteers are specifically trained in the areas they work in, such as medicine, education, or emergency rescue. Other volunteers serve on an as-needed basis, such as in response to a natural disaster or for a beach-cleanup.
The verb Volunteer was first recorded in 1755, from the noun, in C.1600, "one who offers himself for military service," from M.Fr. Voluntaire. The word in the Non-military sense was first recorded during 1630s. The word Volunteering has a more recent usage, still predominantly military, coinciding with the word Community service.

Plot: In 1920, rural Ireland is the vicious battlefield of republican rebels against the British security forces and Irish Unionist population who oppose them, a recipe for mutual cruelty. Medical graduate Damien O'Donovan always gave priority to his socialist ideals and simply helping people in need. Just when he's leaving Ireland to work in a highly reputed London hospital, witnessing gross abuse of commoners changes his mind. he returns and joins the local IRA brigade, commanded by his brother Teddy, and adopts the merciless logic of civil war, while Teddy mellows by experiencing first-hand endless suffering. When IRA leaders negotiate an autonomous Free State under the British crown, Teddy defends the pragmatic best possible deal at this stage. Damien however joins the large seceding faction which holds nothing less then a socialist republic will do. The result is another civil war, bloodily opposing former Irish comrades in arms, even the brothers.

"This animal lovers program finds itself on a quite sanctuary-like farm, far away from any major city, deep in the very wild and beautiful African bush in the remote North West Province. Volunteers work to better the lives of a number of big cats including lions, white lions, cheetahs, and Bengal tigers, as well as other animals including elephants, zebra, and wildebeest. The amazing staff at this sanctuary works closely with the volunteers to teach about animal feeding, health, husbandry, and what it takes to run an animal reserve. As a volunteer, you will have the opportunity to do loads of incredible activities including horseback safaris, elephant walks, and playing with lion cubs. This truly is an extraordinary wildlife experience." From VSA website

Brooklyn's Bedford-Stuyvesant neighborhood is well past the notoriety it had in the 1980s and 1990s, when the area was neglected and crack dealers violently ruled the streets. Back then, two men began providing much needed help to their underserved community. The Bed-Stuy Volunteer Ambulance Corp was founded in 1988 by Captain James "Rocky" Robinson, an EMS tech, and Specialist Joe Perez. Rocky is still at the helm today, 26 years later, training a new generation to follow in his footsteps. With the community now much safer and better served, he has changed the BSVAC's original mission of saving lives to changing lives — helping young men and women who may not have any other options receive free training and eventually find jobs in the medical field.

In the event of a large scale disaster in Whatcom County the Volunteer Center will process volunteers and send them to sites where they are needed. This orientation meeting was held at the Whatcom Middle School on January 23rd, 2016. The 1st American Volunteer Group - Flying Tigers Documentary - History Channel HD
The First American Volunteer Team (AVG) of the Chinese Flying force in 1941-- 1942, nicknamed the Flying Tigers, consisted of pilots from the United States Military Air Corps (USAAC), Navy (USN), and Marine Corps (USMC), recruited under presidential authority and also regulated by Claire Lee Chennault. The shark-faced nose art of the Flying Tigers stays amongst one of the most well-known picture of any individual combat aircraft or combat unit of The second world war.
The group comprise 3 boxer squadrons of around 30 airplane each. It educated in Burma before the American entry into World Battle II with the goal of guarding China versus Japanese pressures. The team of volunteers were officially members of the Chinese Flying force. The participants of the team had agreements with salaries varying from $250 a month for a mechanic to $750 for a squadron commander, roughly three times what they had been making in the U.S. pressures. While it accepted some civilian volunteers for its headquarters and chase crew, the AVG hired most of its personnel from the U.S. military.
The group first saw combat on 20 December 1941, 12 days after Pearl Harbor (regional time). It demonstrated innovative tactical victories when the news in the U.S. was fulled of bit more than stories of defeat at the hands of the Japanese forces, and achieved such notable success during the lowest period of the war for both the U.S. and the Allied Forces about offer hope to America that it could at some point beat the Japanese. AVG pilots earned main credit, and also obtained battle bonuses, for damaging 296 enemy aircraft, [1] while shedding just 14 aviators in combat. [1] The fight records of the AVG still already existing as well as researchers have located them credible [citation required] On 4 July 1942 the AVG was disbanded. It was replaced by the 23rd Fighter Group of the United States Army Air Forces, which was later absorbed into the U.S. Fourteenth Air Force with General Chennault as commander. The 23rd FG went on to accomplish similar fight success, while keeping the nose fine art on the left-over P-40s.

As someone who personally received several hundred hours of past life clearing, I can attest to the tremendous mental, emotional, physical and spiritual benefits available from such top shelf therapies. When delivered by expert regressionists who genuinely know their way around the maze of the human psyche, the positive life changes that ensue are almost indescribable.
