The beauty market is full of products that promise to give your skin a natural glow, and many of them are excellent substitutes for the real thing, but the real thing is still best. The problem with those realistic looking beauty products is that they are still products that are susceptible to being altered by party elements such as hot lights and camera flashes. That is why its best to start with glowing skin, and build from there.
Cleanse with oils
The idea of using oil to cleanse skin is frightening for most people, especially if their skin is prone to being oily. However, cleansing with oils does not add pore clogging oil to skin, it cleanses skin without stripping it of its natural oils as many cleansers do. It also sets the tone for the next step in the glowing skin process.
Cleansing Oil Recipe = 1 part castor oil + 1 part coconut oil
Cleanse with steam
Steaming opens pores, pushing out impurities, and dissolving oil.
Use a beauty steamer and carefully follow the instructions to ensure you do not over heat your skin.
Exfoliate
Gently exfoliate skin with natural exfoliators like apple cider vinegar. Removing dead skin cells reveals the fresher, dewier layer of skin underneath.
Apple Mask = 1 teaspoon organic, unfiltered apple cider vinegar + 1 tablespoon organic, no sugar added apple sauce. Mix and apply to face. Let sit for 15 minutes, and rinse.
Moisturize with purpose
There may be temptation to skip moisturizing due to the suppleness of skin, but that would be a mistake. Use a water based BB cream to even out complexion and provide a barrier from the elements.
Go easy on the powders
As much as possible use gel and cream cosmetics. Shop around for the most durable brands, some set better than powders. Powder makeup tends to settle into creases and lines in a way that gels and creams do not.
Stay hydrated
The best solution for everything including glowing skin is good old fashioned H2O. Drink a glass before and with meals and cocktails.
To keep glowing skin whether partying or not, make regular visits to your dermatologist and facial aesthetician.
