Brunelli e Tonlorenzi spiegano che le reazioni più drammatiche indotte dal nervo trigemino hanno origine da brusche stimolazioni (es. forti dolori o improvvisi sbalzi nella temperatura), con un riflesso noto da tempo come riflesso trigeminale. Il problema era riuscire a regolare l'intensità di questo riflesso, in modo da regolare anche l'intensità delle reazioni indotte. Per ottenere questo risultato Tonlorenzi e Brunelli hanno pensato di usare stimolo interno al corpo, cioè un allungamento dei muscoli della masticazione: in pratica, uno stretching.
Sulla domanda "esiste un riflesso trigemino-cardiaco indotto da stretching mandibolare?" è nato un fermento che coinvolge molte università italiane (Pisa, Perugia, Siena, Napoli, Firenze, Chieti) ed estere ed un forte lavoro sul campo per valutare se e quanto fosse possibile dosare la stimolazione del trigemino.
La sperimentazione si è basata misurazione delle variazioni di frequenza cardiaca e pressione in funzione delle attività di stimolazione indotte attraverso lo stretching mandibolare. Per studiare questo fenomeno sono state analizzate le modalità di azione del trigemino, la prima che inibisce il sistema simpatico e produce un abbassamento della pressione, la seconda che stimola il nucleo del vago e determina l'azione inibitoria sul cuore. La conclusione che si è ottenuta è che la stimolazione del trigemino da una parte riduce la frequenza del battito cardiaco e dall'altra abbassa la pressione. La possibilità di dosare questi effetti diventa quindi un risultato prezioso.

A spring is an elastic object used to store mechanical energy. Springs are usually made out of spring steel. There are a large number of spring designs; in everyday usage the term often refers to coil springs.
Small springs can be wound from pre-hardened stock, while larger ones are made from annealed steel and hardened after fabrication. Some non-ferrous metals are also used including phosphor bronze and titanium for parts requiring corrosion resistance and beryllium copper for springs carrying electrical current (because of its low electrical resistance).
When a coil spring is compressed or stretched slightly from rest, the force it exerts is approximately proportional to its change in length (this approximation breaks down for larger deflections). The rate or spring constant of a spring is the change in the force it exerts, divided by the change in deflection of the spring. That is, it is the gradient of the force versus deflection curve. An extension or compression spring has units of force divided by distance, for example lbf/in or N/m. Torsion springs have units of torque divided by angle, such as N·m/rad or ft·lbf/degree. The inverse of spring rate is compliance, that is: if a spring has a rate of 10 N/mm, it has a compliance of 0.1 mm/N. The stiffness (or rate) of springs in parallel is additive, as is the compliance of springs in series.

Enterprise, Butte County, California
Coordinates: 39°32′11″N 121°21′51″W / 39.53639°N 121.36417°W / 39.53639; -121.36417
Enterprise (formerly, Mountain Spring) is a former settlement in Butte County, California. It was located 5 miles (8.0 km) west-northwest of Forbestown on the South Fork of the Feather River, at an elevation of 902 feet (275 m). In 1968, it was inundated by Lake Oroville.
A post office operated at Enterprise from 1878 to 1926, with a brief closure in 1903. The town was founded in 1852 as Mountain Spring and used as a construction camp. Its later economy was based on being a supply center for the mining operations nearby, especially near Bidwell's Bar. The mining town of Yankee Flat was located 5 miles (8.0 km) southeast of Enterprise.

2. Presenza di bruxismo e/o serramento dentale.
3. Riduce il dolore e l'infiammazione dei muscoli e dell'articolazione stessa, riducendone il gonfiore.
4. La mobilitazione dell'articolazione indotta dal dispositivo ha effetti benefici nei disturbi articolari. Il movimento è necessario per prevenire la degenerazione della cartilagine, lo strato tissutale che riveste la maggior parte delle superfici articolari.

Brunelli e Tonlorenzi spiegano che le reazioni più drammatiche indotte dal nervo trigemino hanno origine da brusche stimolazioni (es. forti dolori o improvvisi sbalzi nella temperatura), con un riflesso noto da tempo come riflesso trigeminale. Il problema era riuscire a regolare l'intensità di questo riflesso, in modo da regolare anche l'intensità delle reazioni indotte. Per ottenere questo risultato Tonlorenzi e Brunelli hanno pensato di usare stimolo interno al corpo, cioè un allungamento dei muscoli della masticazione: in pratica, uno stretching.
Sulla domanda "esiste un riflesso trigemino-cardiaco indotto da stretching mandibolare?" è nato un fermento che coinvolge molte università italiane (Pisa, Perugia, Siena, Napoli, Firenze, Chieti) ed estere ed un forte lavoro sul campo per valutare se e quanto fosse possibile dosare la stimolazione del trigemino.
La sperimentazione si è basata misurazione delle variazioni di frequenza cardiaca e pressione in funzione delle attività di stimolazione indotte attraverso lo stretching mandibolare. Per studiare questo fenomeno sono state analizzate le modalità di azione del trigemino, la prima che inibisce il sistema simpatico e produce un abbassamento della pressione, la seconda che stimola il nucleo del vago e determina l'azione inibitoria sul cuore. La conclusione che si è ottenuta è che la stimolazione del trigemino da una parte riduce la frequenza del battito cardiaco e dall'altra abbassa la pressione. La possibilità di dosare questi effetti diventa quindi un risultato prezioso.

1. Difficoltà di apertura della mandibola (trisma o ipomobilità) perché induce l'allungamento dei tessuti connettivi mobilitando le articolazioni e allungando interamente i muscoli.
2. Presenza di bruxismo e/o serramento dentale.
3. Riduce il dolore e l'infiammazione dei muscoli e dell'articolazione stessa, riducendone il gonfiore.
4. La mobilitazione dell'articolazione indotta dal dispositivo ha effetti benefici nei disturbi articolari. Il movimento è necessario per prevenire la degenerazione della cartilagine, lo strato tissutale che riveste la maggior parte delle superfici articolari.
5. Caso di necessità di registrare un rapporto tra le arcate dentali;
6. Applicazione di forze asimmetriche (es. estrazioni dentali);
7. L'esercizio di stretching può inoltre offrire dei vantaggi terapeutici, specie nel periodo post-operatorio.
INDICAZIONI ODONTOIATRICHE

Brunelli e Tonlorenzi spiegano che le reazioni più drammatiche indotte dal nervo trigemino hanno origine da brusche stimolazioni (es. forti dolori o improvvisi sbalzi nella temperatura), con un riflesso noto da tempo come riflesso trigeminale. Il problema era riuscire a regolare l'intensità di questo riflesso, in modo da regolare anche l'intensità delle reazioni indotte. Per ottenere questo risultato Tonlorenzi e Brunelli hanno pensato di usare stimolo interno al corpo, cioè un allungamento dei muscoli della masticazione: in pratica, uno stretching.
Sulla domanda "esiste un riflesso trigemino-cardiaco indotto da stretching mandibolare?" è nato un fermento che coinvolge molte università italiane (Pisa, Perugia, Siena, Napoli, Firenze, Chieti) ed estere ed un forte lavoro sul campo per valutare se e quanto fosse possibile dosare la stimolazione del trigemino.
La sperimentazione si è basata misurazione delle variazioni di frequenza cardiaca e pressione in funzione delle attività di stimolazione indotte attraverso lo stretching mandibolare. Per studiare questo fenomeno sono state analizzate le modalità di azione del trigemino, la prima che inibisce il sistema simpatico e produce un abbassamento della pressione, la seconda che stimola il nucleo del vago e determina l'azione inibitoria sul cuore. La conclusione che si è ottenuta è che la stimolazione del trigemino da una parte riduce la frequenza del battito cardiaco e dall'altra abbassa la pressione. La possibilità di dosare questi effetti diventa quindi un risultato prezioso.

The Batboat has a minifigure cockpit, two spring-loaded missiles with secret trigger, four stud shooters and rear batwings.

Tesla gained experience in telephony and electrical engineering before emigrating to the United States in 1884 to work for Thomas Edison in New York City. He soon struck out on his own with financial backers, setting up laboratories and companies to develop a range of electrical devices. His patented AC induction motor and transformer were licensed by George Westinghouse, who also hired Tesla for a short time as a consultant. His work in the formative years of electric power development was involved in a corporate alternating current/direct current "War of Currents" as well as various patent battles. He became a naturalized US citizen in 1891.[8]
Tesla went on to pursue his ideas of wireless lighting and electricity distribution in his high-voltage, high-frequency power experiments in New York and Colorado Springs, and made early (1893) pronouncements on the possibility of wireless communication with his devices. He tried to put these ideas to practical use in an ill-fated attempt at intercontinental wireless transmission, his unfinished Wardenclyffe Tower project.[9] In his lab he also conducted a range of experiments with mechanical oscillators/generators, electrical discharge tubes, and early X-ray imaging. He also built a wireless controlled boat, one of the first ever exhibited.
Tesla was renowned for his achievements and showmanship, eventually earning him a reputation in popular culture as an archetypal "mad scientist".[10] His patents earned him a considerable amount of money, much of which was used to finance his own projects with varying degrees of success.[11] He lived most of his life in a series of New York hotels, through his retirement.
