Crown City, Ohio
Crown City is a village in Gallia County, Ohio, United States, along the Ohio River. The population was 413 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Point Pleasant, WV–OH Micropolitan Statistical Area.
Geography
Crown City is located at 38°35′25″N 82°17′8″W / 38.59028°N 82.28556°W / 38.59028; -82.28556 (38.590306, -82.285605).
According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 1.20 square miles (3.11 km2), of which 1.16 square miles (3.00 km2) is land and 0.04 square miles (0.10 km2) is water.
Demographics
2010 census
As of the census of 2010, there were 413 people, 176 households, and 129 families residing in the village. The population density was 356.0 inhabitants per square mile (137.5/km2). There were 200 housing units at an average density of 172.4 per square mile (66.6/km2). The racial makeup of the village was 98.8% White, 1.0% Asian, and 0.2% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.5% of the population.
There were 176 households of which 30.7% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 55.7% were married couples living together, 13.1% had a female householder with no husband present, 4.5% had a male householder with no wife present, and 26.7% were non-families. 22.2% of all households were made up of individuals and 6.8% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.35 and the average family size was 2.73.

Crown City Rockers
Crown City Rockers is a five-member hip hop band from Oakland, California, by way of Boston, Massachusetts and Pasadena. Formerly known as Mission, the name under which they released their first album, they play old school hip hop music with live instrumentation (similar to other hip hop groups like: Gym Class Heroes, The Roots, N.E.R.D, and Stetsasonic). They have been compared to groups such as: A Tribe Called Quest, The Roots, and De La Soul.

Their song, Break, off of 2009's The Day After Forever, was featured in "Open House" (Breaking Bad).

City Rockers
City Rockers is a UK based indie label. Their current signed artists include The Sunshine Underground, The Ghost Frequency and The Blood Arm.
Past releases on the label came from bands such as FC Kahuna,The Rakes, Felix Da Housecat, The Duke Spirit and The Boggs.
City Rockers was started by Phil Howells after Warner Brother purchased and restructured London/FFRR. Damian Lazarus, the owner of Crosstown Rebels, was the head of A&R.

There is not enough evidence to assert what conditions gave rise to the first cities. Some theorists have speculated on what they consider suitable pre-conditions and basic mechanisms that might have been important driving forces.

These iconic and architecturally magnificent structures sit in Pier Head, overlooking the River Mersey. View the buildings in all their glory at the nearby Museum of Liverpool. Then head to U-Boat Story to explore a previously sunken German submarine, followed by a trip to the Merseyside Maritime Museum, where you’ll learn boatloads of information about ships of the past, from the Titanic to the Lusitania.
As long as you’re in Liverpool, explore the fabulous four’s old stomping grounds. The Beatles played more than 300 gigs at Cavern Club, while the Casbah Coffee Club is where Beatlemania took off. To learn more about the epic band, roam around the memorabilia exhibits at The Beatles Story, a museum where you can marvel at John Lennon’s glasses and George Harrison’s first guitar. What’s more, you can visit the grave of Eleanor Rigby—who inspired the famous song—along with the bandstand that prompted the “Sergeant Peppers” album.
Still looking for more adventures? Dabble in the city’s religious side and check out the Anglican Cathedral. It was engineered by a 22-year-old architecture student who won a design contest. Our week in Edinburgh was action packed! We sampled gin and Scotch whisky, wandered down tiny closes, braved the crowds along the Royal Mile, ate our fill of haggis, and even visited a castle, a palace, and an abbey. So, if you’re looking for things to do in Edinburgh on your visit, this video guide will show you all of those attractions and then some!
Edinburgh Castle is hard to miss as it dominates the city’s skyline. The first thing you should know about the Castle is that it’s not just one single building, so once you’re inside there’s quite a bit to see and do; you can tour the Royal Palace, see the Crown Jewels, watch the firing of the one o’clock gun, step inside St. Margaret’s Chapel, visit the National War Museum and so much more, so give yourself plenty of time.
We also made time to visit the famed Royal Mile, which is the busiest street in Edinburgh’s Old Town. There’s quite a bit to see along here, so we first popped into the Royal Mile Market, which is set inside a former church, and from there we continued down the street, visiting little souvenir shops along the way. You’ll have no trouble finding a kilt here!
Another activity we really enjoyed was taking a food tour with Eat Walk Edinburgh. We got to try a lot of delicious bites and beverages along the way, and one of the highlights was visiting the Fugde House.
Another fun way to explore Edinburgh on foot is by wandering down the tiny closes. These small alleys were often named after a memorable occupant, and the Old Town is full of them.

On Day 30 of my Round The World Trip for Food my wife and I decided to make a food trek to Brooklyn to eat one of the best pizzas in New York City. The pizza restaurant: Di Fara Pizza. We then went to Gloria’s Caribbean Cuisine to eat some fantastic Trinidad cuisine. It was another good day of food in New York City.
1:35 Di Fara Pizza - When you do any kind of searching for the best pizza in New York City, it won’t take you long to find Di Fara Pizza, a family run restaurant in Brooklyn known for their incredible pizza. Also, when I went to NYC, many of you recommended that I needed to try Di Fara, so I decided that a pilgrimage was must. I arrived before they opened for lunch, and was first in line. I was a little torn as what to order, but finally just went with the classic round pie with half pepperoni and half cheese. The pizza took about 15 minutes to make and it came out of the oven hot and fresh. As soon as it came out, he chopped on some fresh basil. That first slice of pizza I had was one of the best pieces of pizza I’ve ever had. Everything tasted so pure and so balanced. The crust was right, the sauce and cheese were perfect. All the ingredients they use to make their pizza at Di Fara are from Italy, and so that’s part of the reason their pizza is so expensive. Is it the best pizza in New York City? I’m not really qualified to answer this as I haven’t been to all the famous pizza places in NYC. But what I can say is that Di Fara pizza is mind-blowingly good. Pizza price - $31
9:45 Gloria’s Caribbean Cuisine - After finishing the pizza we moved on to Gloria’s Caribbean Cuisine, a restaurant in Crown Height known for serving Caribbean food and especially mostly Trinidadian food. I decided to order the curry chicken meal while my wife ordered the curry fish meal. Both of the meals were huge and came with sides, rice, and vegetables. The curry chicken and curry fish were both excellent, full of spice flavor. This was my first time to have Trinidadian food, and it’s made me want to go to Trinidad immediately. For excellent Caribbean food in New York City, Gloria’s Caribbean Cuisine is a friendly restaurant. Curry chicken meal - $11, Curry fish meal - $13.
And that was basically it for the day. Ying wasn’t feeling too well, so we headed back to our hotel and rested. It was another great day of food in New York City!

On Day 21 of our Round The World Trip for food with Star Alliance, we spent the day in Barcelona. Barcelona is an amazing food city, and one of the best places to start eating is at La Boqueria. After eating and wandering, we headed over to Sagrada Família for a breathtaking tour. It was an amazing day of food and attractions in Barcelona.
00:34 Breakfast at Cotton House Hotel - We started off the morning at our hotel by having a quick breakfast. The jamon and selection of cured meats was the highlight.
2:53 Mercat de Sant Josep de la Boqueria - Often known in short just as La Boqueria, this historical market is a food lover's paradise and a pilgrimage destination. We arrived early in the morning and headed first to Bar Pinotxo to eat our second breakfast. I ordered an omelet with eggplant and a plate of garbanzo beans and blood sausage. The dish was simple, but it was incredibly delicious. Additionally, the coffee was extremely good. Total price - 12.80 EUR ($14.04)
6:59 El Quim De La Boqueria - After finishing with the first place of tapas, I wandered over to another legendary tapas bar within La Boqueria market known as El Quim De La Boqueria. It’s a very expensive place, but I knew I wanted to try the fried eggs with baby squid. The dish was a simple combination of ingredients, but it was cooked perfectly, and it was incredibly delicious. I also couldn’t resist a plate of fried chilies. Total price - 32.05 EUR ($35.16) There are dozens of things to eat and try at La Boqueria, and after all the salty food I was ready to have a passion fruit juice. And then finally, to conclude the Barcelona food tour of La Boqueria, I bought a cone of sliced Jamón Ibérico.
14:14 Gothic Quarter, Barcelona Cathedral - After an amazing food tour, we walked around the Christopher Columbus monument and then continued on walking around the Gothic Quarter of Barcelona. The Barcelona Cathedral was originally closed when we arrived, but I came back in a few minutes and walked around the Barcelona Cathedral as well.
16:37 Xarcutería La Pineda - Located just around the corner from the Barcelona Cathedral, I headed over to a place called Xarcutería La Pineda (recommended by Chris English), to try the botifarra blanca and a cup of vermouth. It’s an amazing little family run shop with a fantastic array of meats and drinks. Total price - 11.50 EUR
21:25 Basílica de la Sagrada Família - One of the most famous attractions in Barcelona is the Sagrada Familia, a basilica that was famous designed by Antoni Gaudi. I had read and dreamed about visiting for many years, so I was very excited to finally have the chance to visit. What amazed me is how dark and gothic it looks from the outside, yet how light and happy it is on the inside. Sagrada Familia is truly a stunning architectural feat, and an attraction you must visit in Barcelona. Along with visiting the main part of Sagrada Familia, I also bought tickets to go to the Nativity Tower. Going to the top of the tower and walking down was the highlight of visiting. Price - 29.00 EUR per person w/ tower entrance
26:16 Catalan Food for dinner at Restaurant Portolés - For dinner Ying and I walked over to Restaurant Portolés, a local Catalan food restaurant. Some of the main dishes I ordered included Fideuà and Rollitos De Pollo, all of which were delicious. It’s a great restaurant to try in Barcelona. Total price - 26.50 EUR
This was a fantastic day in Barcelona, packed with delicious food and attractions in Barcelona.

It’s a very expensive place, but I knew I wanted to try the fried eggs with baby squid. The dish was a simple combination of ingredients, but it was cooked perfectly, and it was incredibly delicious. I also couldn’t resist a plate of fried chilies. Total price - 32.05 EUR ($35.16) There are dozens of things to eat and try at La Boqueria, and after all the salty food I was ready to have a passion fruit juice. And then finally, to conclude the Barcelona food tour of La Boqueria, I bought a cone of sliced Jamón Ibérico.
14:14 Gothic Quarter, Barcelona Cathedral - After an amazing food tour, we walked around the Christopher Columbus monument and then continued on walking around the Gothic Quarter of Barcelona. The Barcelona Cathedral was originally closed when we arrived, but I came back in a few minutes and walked around the Barcelona Cathedral as well.
16:37 Xarcutería La Pineda - Located just around the corner from the Barcelona Cathedral, I headed over to a place called Xarcutería La Pineda (recommended by Chris English), to try the botifarra blanca and a cup of vermouth. It’s an amazing little family run shop with a fantastic array of meats and drinks. Total price - 11.50 EUR
21:25 Basílica de la Sagrada Família - One of the most famous attractions in Barcelona is the Sagrada Familia, a basilica that was famous designed by Antoni Gaudi. I had read and dreamed about visiting for many years, so I was very excited to finally have the chance to visit. What amazed me is how dark and gothic it looks from the outside, yet how light and happy it is on the inside. Sagrada Familia is truly a stunning architectural feat, and an attraction you must visit in Barcelona. Along with visiting the main part of Sagrada Familia, I also bought tickets to go to the Nativity Tower. Going to the top of the tower and walking down was the highlight of visiting. Price - 29.00 EUR per person w/ tower entrance
26:16 Catalan Food for dinner at Restaurant Portolés - For dinner Ying and I walked over to Restaurant Portolés, a local Catalan food restaurant. Some of the main dishes I ordered included Fideuà and Rollitos De Pollo, all of which were delicious. It’s a great restaurant to try in Barcelona. Total price - 26.50 EUR
