"She Drives Me Crazy" is a song recorded by the Fine Young Cannibals, included on their 1989 album The Raw and the Cooked. The song peaked at #5 as a single in the band's native UK in January 1989 (it was released on New Year's Day) before hitting #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 in the US on 15 April 1989. It also reached #3 on the Dutch Top 40.
A remixed version of this song was released in 1997.
The unique snare drum "pop" sound was created by recording the snare drum portion separately. A speaker was then placed on top of the snare drum, and a microphone below. The original recording of the snare drum part was played back through the speaker and re-recorded.
"Weird Al" Yankovic parodied this song as "She Drives Like Crazy" for his 1989 soundtrack album UHF - Original Motion Picture Soundtrack and Other Stuff.
Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy recorded a version as the opening track to the 1994 Muppet album Kermit Unpigged. A music video, featuring cameo appearances by various celebrities, was released to promote the album.
Dolly Parton recorded a cover of the song for her 2008 album, Backwoods Barbie, titled "Drives Me Crazy". It was released as a single to Adult Contemporary stations in January 2009.
The Fine Young Camels sing "C Drives Me Crazy", a "Sesame Street" parody of "She Drives Me Crazy". A camel in the Mojave desert (voiced by Paul Jacobs) sings about how he loves the letter C and things that start with C. He is backed by two male Anything Muppets dressed as Arabs. A cat and a cookie also sing and dance along. The number features an introduction by Jerry Nelson, stating it's their "greatest, and only, hit ever."

Fine Young Cannibals
Fine Young Cannibals were a British band formed in Birmingham, England in 1984, by bassist David Steele, guitarist Andy Cox (both formerly of The Beat), and singer Roland Gift (formerly of the Akrylykz). Their self-titled 1985 debut album contained "Johnny Come Home" and a cover of "Suspicious Minds", two songs that were top 40 hits in the UK, Canada, Australia and many European countries. Their 1989 album, The Raw & the Cooked, topped the UK and US album charts, and contained their two Billboard Hot 100 number ones: "She Drives Me Crazy" and "Good Thing".
In 1990 the band won two Brit Awards: Best British Group, and Best British Album (for The Raw & the Cooked). Their name came from the 1960 film All the Fine Young Cannibals starring Robert Wagner and Natalie Wood.
History
The group was formed in 1984 after the dissolution of The Beat, with whom Cox and Steele previously played. The duo of Steele and Cox spent eight months listening to over 500 cassettes of potential singers before settling on Gift. They had difficulty obtaining a record contract but when a video of their song "Johnny Come Home" appeared on British TV show The Tube, recording contract offers flowed in immediately. The band's eponymous debut album was released in 1985, spawning two UK hit singles, "Johnny Come Home" and a cover of Elvis Presley's "Suspicious Minds" featuring additional vocals by Jimmy Somerville. These two songs also became hits internationally, charting in the top 40 in Europe, Canada and Australia, although they failed to make a significant impact on the US charts.

The song peaked at #5 as a single in the band's native UK in January 1989 (it was released on New Year's Day) before hitting #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 in the US on 15 April 1989. It also reached #3 on the Dutch Top 40.
A remixed version of this song was released in 1997.
The unique snare drum "pop" sound was created by recording the snare drum portion separately. A speaker was then placed on top of the snare drum, and a microphone below. The original recording of the snare drum part was played back through the speaker and re-recorded.
"Weird Al" Yankovic parodied this song as "She Drives Like Crazy" for his 1989 soundtrack album UHF - Original Motion Picture Soundtrack and Other Stuff.
Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy recorded a version as the opening track to the 1994 Muppet album Kermit Unpigged. A music video, featuring cameo appearances by various celebrities, was released to promote the album.

Captured at The Ritz during their first visit to America, enjoy Fine Young Cannibals delivering their fluid blend of soul, reggae, punk and pop to a highly receptive New York City audience. Launched by Andy Cox and David Steele following their tenure in The English Beat, the group is best known for the unique voice of lead singer Roland Gift, whose crystal-clear falsetto, not to mention photogenic good looks during "the music video era", gave the band its identity.
Concentrating on material from their self-titled debut, this performance makes it clear why the band received such critical raves and outstanding success during the late 1980s. During your treks you will come across unfriendly natives, wild animals and unnatural phenomenon all out to end your quest to become the most celebrated explorer of all time and to have a statue erected in your honour.
In this episode we head to the elephant dying grounds to loot lots of ivory, we pick up a mysterious egg, we loot some shrines and run away from several wild animals. Things turn sour pretty quickly after we lose all our sanity in the middle of the map with no way of gaining any back. The newest member of the expedition shows his dark side...

Welcome to my let's play series of The Curious Expedition Alpha 29, a procedurally generated rogue-like adventure game set in the 19th century where you are tasked with travelling to areas undiscovered by civilized man to acquire artifacts for money and fame!
If only it was that easy...
During your treks you will come across unfriendly natives, wild animals and unnatural phenomenon all out to end your quest to become the most celebrated explorer of all time and to have a statue erected in your honour.
In this episode we head to the elephant dying grounds to loot lots of ivory, we pick up a mysterious egg, we loot some shrines and run away from several wild animals. Things turn sour pretty quickly after we lose all our sanity in the middle of the map with no way of gaining any back. The newest member of the expedition shows his dark side...
