Jiiva (born Amar B. Choudry on 4 January 1984) is an Indian film actor who predominantly appears in Tamil films. Son of film producer R. B. Choudry, he started his career as a child actor in his father's films in 1996. He established himself as a versatile actor in Tamil Cinema.
He performed his first lead role in the 2003 romance film Aasai Aasaiyai, before rising to fame with his breakthrough performance in Raam (2005), for which he won the Best Actor Award at the Cyprus International Film Festival. Since, he became known for his versatility, essaying distinctly different roles in his subsequent films, such as a stuntman in Dishyum (2006), a slum dweller in E (2006) and a psychopath in Kattradhu Thamizh (2007), and garnered high critical acclaim for his performances, while also achieving commercial success with Siva Manasula Sakthi (2009), Ko (2011) and Nanban (2012).
Jiiva had first appeared as a child artist in minuscule roles in two of his father's productions. He made his feature film debut as a lead actor in 2003 with Aasai Aasaiyai, following which he essayed the lead role in Thithikudhe (2003). Both the ventures, being romance films, were produced by his father R. B. Choudry as well, and failed to succeed at the box office. His subsequent release, Ameer's mystery thriller Raam (2005) eventually gained him recognition in the film industry. Jiiva played an autistic teenager, who is highly attached to his mother, but is suspected of having murdered her. The film received critical acclaim and garnered Jiiva positive remarks, with a Sify critic claiming that "as an actor Jiiva has arrived, as he exudes menace with his expressive body and eye language as Ram".Raam also earned accolades on international platform, being screened at the International Film Festival in Goa and later at the Cyprus International Film Festival, where it won two awards, with Jiiva being chosen as the Best Actor, while its music director, Yuvan Shankar Raja, was awarded for the film's score.

Jayam Ravi (Tamil: ஜெயம் ரவி; born 10 September 1980 as Ravi Mohan) is an Indian film actor. Ravi has appeared in films including Jayam, M. Kumaran Son Of Mahalakshmi, Unakkum Enakkum, Santhosh Subramaniam and Thillalangadi all of which have been directed by his brother, M. Raja. His films are almost all remakes of Tollywood hits. They repeated the same success in Kollywood, too.
Ravi was born to Mohan, editor of South Indian cinema and Varalakshmi in a Balija family. He has two siblings; his elder brother M. Raja is a noted film director, with most of his films featuring Ravi in the lead role, while his sister Roja is a dentist. He completed his schooling at Jawahar Vidyalaya in Ashok Nagar, Chennai. He studied dancing under the Bharatnatyam dancer Nalini Balakrishnan and performed his arangetram at the age of 12. After completing his degree in Visual Communication from Loyola College, Chennai, he decided to get into the film industry. He has also undergone training in acting at the Kishore Namit Kapur Institute in Mumbai.

Mask is a 2012 Indian Telugu Superhero film, written and directed by Mysskin that features Jiiva, Pooja Hegde and Narain in lead roles. It is the first Telugu super-hero movie. The film is about a man who cannot tolerate injustice and corruption and hence turns into a vigilante to fight against it for a better society. This film was dedicated to Bruce Lee.
Bruce Lee (Jiiva) is a martial arts specialist but unluckily he is unable to use those skills to make a living. Instead, he falls in love with Police Deputy Commissioner Gaurav's (Nassar) daughter Shakthi (Pooja Hegde), and tries to impress her and her elder sister's kids with his martial art skills. To make it more fun for them he pretends to be a superhero by wearing on a costume each time he visits. On his way back on one such visit, Lee finds himself caught in between cops and robbers chase in the city. He decides to assist the police and manages to nab one robber from the gang and hands him over to the police. Lee doesn't realize that by doing so he has asked upon himself the revenge of Dragon (Narain) who heads the same gang. As the police were involved too, Dragon eyes to take revenge on Police Commissioner Gaurav also. Dragon then connives a plan that eventually frames Lee as a robber and the attempted to kill the Police Commissioner. What lies ahead for Lee now is to prove his innocence to the Police, win his love back Shakthi and more importantly bring Dragon and his gang to justice.

Pori is a 2007 Tamil film directed by Subramaniam Siva. Subramaniam Siva, who rendered his debut Thiruda Thirudi, a 2004 runaway blockbuster. This film has Jiiva in the lead and Pooja as his lady love. It has been dubbed in Hindi as Naya Zalzala.
Hari (Jiiva) is an unemployed youth who runs a pavement book shop in Tripiclane area. His father (Nagesh) an upright retired school teacher buys him a shop in a building with his PF money. He names it "Periyar Bookshop" and runs it with friend Karunas. Meanwhile he constantly bumps into Pooja (Pooja), a television reporter and a love-hate relationship happens!
However, one day a Malaysian-based businessman (Seeman) comes and evicts him from the shop claiming that the place belongs to him. Hari discovers that his father was cheated by a land mafia gang which specializes in forged documents and is hand-in-glove with revenue officials. Hari decides to take the gauntlet and unveil the evil forces behind those property grabbers.
Soon he discovers that Nama Shivayam (Sampath Raj), Vinayagam real estates owner, is the brain behind the entire operations. How Hari becomes a one-man army and brings Nama Shivayam to justice forms the rest of the story.

Reportedly some portions of this film was re-shot after Jiiva's previous venture Ko became a huge success.[5] Shriya Saran, who was signed up to play Jiiva’s pair in Rowthiram, was busy with Don Seenu and Chikku Bukku and hence could not allot dates for Rowthiram. The team, however, completed two schedules without the lead actress and waited patiently for her dates. Their patience seemed to have paid off now with Shriya finally joining the Rowthiram team. Sources say that nearly half the film has been shot without the lead actress.[6] Shriya bagged her role in the film by chance. The actress was at the shooting spot when the first shot was on and debut director Gokul instantly felt that she was the one who could carry off the role to perfection. After a discussion with producer RB Choudhury and Jeeva, Gokul signed up Shriya to play Jeeva’s pair in Rowthiram. The director has said that Shriya was wearing a saree and looked traditional which was the main reason for signing her up.[7] The film was completed in June 2011 after two and a half years in the making.

Police inspector Umar (Rahman) works on the case. The story is narrated in flashback.

His overcompulsive adoration for his mother lands her in various problems. Raam is provoked easily and tolerates little wrongdoing around him. Next door lives Karthika (Gajala), daughter of a Police Sub-Inspector Malaichamy (Murali). She falls for Raam, but upon telling him how she feels, gets a blunt response from him.
One day, Saradha is found brutally murdered. Umar, interrogating various personalities for the case, grills each and every person possibly connected to Raam and the teacher. Every possible motive that Raam might have for murdering his mother is explored. Furthermore Raam's neighbours, the sub-inspector Malaichamy and his children are summoned by Umar for interrogation, much to their irritation. The police eventually find out that it was Karthika's brother (Kunal Shah), who committed the murder, in fear that Saradha would tell his parents about his drug addiction habits.
When Umar confronts him and forces him to surrender, Karthika's brother fatally wounds him and escapes, injuring his father in the process as well. He kidnaps Karthika and takes her to a desolate location. However, Raam, seeking vengeance as well as seeking to save Karthika, follows the killer to the hideout. A brutal fight occurs between the two, and at the end, Raam kills Karthika's brother. The film ends as the police find the hideout, while Raam is meditating on the dilapadated roof.

Aswin (Jiva) is enthusiastic photojournalist working in a news daily called Neti Vaartha. Two female reporters Renuka (Karthika) and Saro (Pia) are close to him and both love him but his heart beats for only Renuka. On the other hand, a politician (Kota) and Chief-minister (Prakash Raj) try everything to come to power again in the coming elections. At the same time, a young and highly educated leader Vasanth (Ajmal) fields in the same elections and campaigns rigorously for clean politics. Aswin wholly supports Vasanth and publishes photos of wrongdoings of Kota and CM. At a massive campaign meeting of Vasanth, a bomb explodes killing several people including journalist Pia. This bomb incident creates further sympathy towards Vasanth and he comes to power. The film then throws a surprise twist.

marrying a two-month pregnant woman.
Bhaskar lives with his mother, brother who is a successful veterinarian and sister, Nithya (Monisha). When his brother marries Nandhini (Vijayalakshmi), he gets to meet Nandhini's younger sister Chandrika (Nayantara) and wishes to marry her. When he approaches his family for a chance, everyone talks very frankly of his unemployed status which rankles him and causes him to leave his house to prove himself.
With the support of Chittibabu, he establishes a tutorial for Class 10 students and despite early setbacks makes it work and ensures that he makes a very heavy profit on the deal, while also convincing Chandrika, who eventually reciprocates his love. However despite all this, Chandrika's father is against her marriage with Bhaskar, the reason being that he had been once insulted by a drunk Chittibabu as revenge for not having sanctioned a loan to Bhaskar.
Jeeva makes a special appearance as Shiva, the owner of Shiva granites, a supposed "teetotaler", and Chandrika's prospective groom. He unites the couple at the end of the film, but not before putting up a fight.

Major Mahadevan (Mohanlal) is an officer deputed to the National Security Guards (NSG). He has been assigned to counter-terrorism duties in Kashmir and commands an elite group of NSG commandos. He calls back his buddy Havildar Jaikumar (Jiiva) from his honeymoon because he has information about major activities of the militants; he feels Jaikumar is needed for the team. The commandos raid a mosque in civilian dress and seize a big collection of arms and explosives. Later, during an operation focused on some cottages near the Dal Lake, a commando in the team is killed and an outraged Jaikumar shoots down a captured terrorist who challenges the commandos. A human rights activist (Shwetha Menon) learns about this and threatens to file a complaint with the government. She later understands the situation and the sincerity of the commandos and decides not to proceed with the complaint.
Meanwhile, a group of terrorists from Afghanistan and Pakistan conspire to hit the Hazratbal Shrine with a missile; they think this will create unrest in the region and that the Indian army will be blamed. They hijack a house that offers a good vantage point on the shrine and plant the missile there. Some of them rape three girls in the house in front of their father and shoot a person who protests. A military patrolling vehicle hears the gunshot; as they approach the house, they are fired upon. The patrolling team intimates the NSG, and Mahadevan and his team immediately join the battle. After a long operation, the team kills the terrorists, frees the civilian hostages and disarms the missile. But a civilian informs that the chief of the terrorists is not to be seen among the corpses, and the commandos start a combing operation in the house. They locate the terrorist and Mahadevan recognises the man as the one who killed his wife and daughter. The terrorist is killed but he manages to shoot at Mahadevan. Mahadevan is covered by Jaikumar, who gets hit by the bullet and dies. Jaikumar is awarded the Kirti Chakra posthumously.

The Movie Story deals with Twin brothers, Shiva and Ashok, Shiva works in a fish-market and is a typical hero who attacks baddies with his bare fists; a rugged man who'll brook no injustice. Whereas, Ashok is a lawyer. Shiva Devout Ashok's goodness is a facade that hides his evil nature. Both have romantic interests; Shweta who is Shiva's long-time sweetheart. Ashok's life is one long, lustful journey as he charms every woman he meets into his bed. This is where the tale picks up. Shiva can do nothing right as far as his parents are concerned; they trust the Ashok and always misunderstand Shiva’s righteous anger and his every attempt to show up his Machiavellian twin fails. Ashok, on the other hand, is pally with the local goons and uses his brains to assist them in their nefarious activities. Matters come to a head when Ashok lures a girl called Gayatri with false pretences, and eventually causing her to suicide. Shiva lodges a complaint on Ashok but this fails as he couldn’t prove that whether it was him or Ashok who did the crime due to their faces. Shiva comes to know that a security man who saw Ashok pushing Gayatri from the roof. He tells the security man to meet him in the evening. But he is killed by Ashok as the security man saw him in the evening and thought him as Shiva. Shiva comes to know this thus begins a cat-and-mouse game between the siblings. This causes anger to the younger one and he tries to kill his elder brother. He employs a gang to kill his elder brother. Eventually the elder brother knows this plot and confronts him. During the fight the younger brother get killed by his own man. The elder brother walks with his father who for the first time accepts him.

The story revolves around the relationship of a mother and her son, set in Kodaikanal. The movie commences with Rama Krishna (Jiiva) and his mother Saradha (Saranya Ponvannan), a school teacher, lying in a pool of blood; The police find Raam is still alive and arrest him on charges of murdering his mother. Police inspector Umar (Rahman) works on the case. The story is narrated in flashback.
Rama Krishna is an apparently mentally affected teenager (later diagnosed as autistic), living dependent on his mother Saradha (Saranya Ponvannan). His overcompulsive adoration for his mother lands her in various problems. Raam is provoked easily and tolerates little wrongdoing around him. Next door lives Karthika (Gajala), daughter of a Police Sub-Inspector Malaichamy (Murali). She falls for Raam, but upon telling him how she feels, gets a blunt response from him.
One day, Saradha is found brutally murdered. Umar, interrogating various personalities for the case, grills each and every person possibly connected to Raam and the teacher. Every possible motive that Raam might have for murdering his mother is explored. Furthermore Raam's neighbours, the sub-inspector Malaichamy and his children are summoned by Umar for interrogation, much to their irritation. The police eventually find out that it was Karthika's brother (Kunal Shah), who committed the murder, in fear that Saradha would tell his parents about his drug addiction habits.
When Umar confronts him and forces him to surrender, Karthika's brother fatally wounds him and escapes, injuring his father in the process as well. He kidnaps Karthika and takes her to a desolate location. However, Raam, seeking vengeance as well as seeking to save Karthika, follows the killer to the hideout. A brutal fight occurs between the two, and at the end, Raam kills Karthika's brother. The film ends as the police find the hideout, while Raam is meditating on the dilapadated roof.

A survivor of the Auschwitz death camp is now the world's oldest man, the Guinness World Records organisation says. Yisrael Kristal was born near Zarnow in Poland in 1903 and lived through two world wars before moving to the Israeli city of Haifa. He was 112 years and 178 days old on 11 March, Guinness World Records says. The previous oldest-recorded man, Yasutaro Koide of Japan, died in January aged 112 years and 312 days ... ....

I understand the importance of promotions, but I don’t like repeating the same things over and over again. It used to be a lot lesser when I started out, but there are so many now (laughs) ...
