José Jiménez Fernández (born 11 February 1943), commonly known as Joselito, was a child star in Spain during the 1950s and 1960s.
Joselito was born in Beas de Segura, Jaén, northeast Andalucia in Spain. Joselito made his film debut at the age of 13 and began making other films, including "El Pequeño Ruiseñor", "Saeta del Ruiseñor", "El Ruiseñor de las Cumbres", "Escucha mi Canción", "El Pequeño Coronel", "Aventuras de Joselito en America", "Los Dos Golfillos", "Bello Re cuerdo", and El caballo blanco (The White Horse) with Antonio Aguilar. Besides acting, Joselito was a popular child singer with a very distinguished voice having sung such songs as "La Campanera", "Dónde estará mi vida", "Gorrioncillo pecho amarillo", "En un pueblito español", "Clavelitos", "Doce Cascabeles", "Las Golondrinas", "El Pastor", "Granada" and "Ave María". He toured several countries in his youth.
He was out of the public eye until adulthood, when he became a media entrepreneur. In 1990, he was arrested by Angolan authorities on charges of gun and drug trafficking. Subsequently, he was deported to Spain, where he was jailed. In 2002 La Jaula del Ruiseñor was released, an authorized biography of Joselito's life. There he wrote that jail was the best thing that had ever happened to him and that it had helped him to overcome his drug addiction as well as to give him a different outlook on life.

En algunas fuentes se cita 1947 como el año de su nacimiento debido al aspecto que presentaba en su primer filme, El pequeño ruiseñor (1956), más propio de un niño de nueve años que de trece. Su crecimiento había sufrido un considerable retraso y los estudios cinematográficos que producían sus películas quisieron hacerlo aparecer como un niño más pequeño de lo que realmente era. A pesar de su corta edad, dadas sus excepcionales dotes como niño actor y cantante, tuvo mucho éxito en las décadas de los 50 y los 60. Hizo películas en España y también en México. Entre las canciones que lo llevaron a la fama se encuentran El pastor, La malagueña, Granada de Agustín Lara, e incluso una que interpretó con la cantante argentina Libertad Lamarque. Algunos de estos estaban incluidos en sus películas. Tras su paso por escenarios provinciales y la radio, descubierto por Luis Mariano (el "rey de la opereta") y llevado a Francia, tuvo su primera oportunidad en la pantalla grande en 1956, gracias a Antonio del Amo, quien le dio el papel protagonista en El pequeño ruiseñor, film modesto que alcanzó un gran éxito, lo lanzó como sucesor de Pablito Calvo y fue seguido de otros por el estilo: Saeta del ruiseñor, El ruiseñor de las cumbres, Escucha mi canción, etc. Alternando cine y música, y con una peculiar voz conocida ya en Europa y allende los mares, con una excepcional maestría del género flamenco no obstante su corta edad, Joselito dio el salto al mercado hispanoamericano y protagonizó varios filmes en México. -

Actúa: Antonio Montoya "Farruco" Algeciras 22/11/2014
Algeciras realiza los días 21 y 22 de noviembre el I Encuentro Internacional de Guitarra ‘Paco de Lucía’ que tendrá lugar en el Teatro Florida. Uno de sus actos consistirá en la entrega a título póstumo del premio XXII Palma de Plata que la Sociedad del Cante Grande de la ciudad otorgó al genio de la guitarra local días antes de su fallecimiento en México.
En esta ocasión se contará con la presencia, entre otros, de Pepe de Lucía, Paco Cepero, Joaquín Grilo, Rancapino, José El Pañero, Farru, Capullo de Jerez y Diego del Morao.
Si esta primera edición estará dedicada al flamenco y a la proyección internacional de Paco de Lucía, las siguientes convocatorias estarán enfocadas a la guitarra clásica y al jazz.

"Veintidós años después de su desaparición, el mito de José Monje Cruz “Camarón de la Isla”, vuelve con más fuerza si cabe. Un espectaculo con vocación mundial recorrerá todos los rincones del planeta (no necesariamente flamenco) para ensalzar y redescubrir al genio, a la leyenda y al mito; al marido, al padre y al amigo. La biografía de Camarón es la base del guión, autorizado por la familia del artista, que ha cedido en exclusiva sus derechos de imagen para este espectáculo. En una tranquila playa de la isla de San Fernando un niño juega al toro, un niño que sueña con ser torero. Años más tarde este niño se verá convertido en el centro mundial del flamenco, una estrella internacional, gracias a su descarnada voz, su afinado oído, su innato duende y su transgresora forma de entender el arte flamenco. En el crepúsculo de su vida, el personaje ha ido devorando a la persona pero, una vez que la estrella se apaga, entre nosotros queda la estela de su presencia, un niño jugando por siempre sobre la plateada espuma de las olas gaditanas. Un duende inmortal… Eterno Camarón. "

Julio Alfredo Jaramillo Laurido (Guayaquil, Ecuador, 1 de octubre de 1935 - 9 de febrero de 1978). Fue un cantante Ecuatoriano (Guayaquileño) conocido como «El ruiseñor de América»
Nació el 1 de octubre de 1935 en la Clínica Panchana de la ciudad de Santiago de Guayaquil. Hijo de Juan Pantaleón Jaramillo Erazo, originario de la población de Machachi en Pichincha, y de Apolonia Laurido Cáceres, guayaquileña de ascendencia jamaiquina.8 9 Su padre emigró a la provincia de Guayas en busca de mejores oportunidades laborales y fue allí donde conoció a Apolonia.3 El 2 de abril de 1941, cuando Julio contaba con cinco años de edad, perdió a su padre debido a un accidente laboral cuando éste fabricaba una cruz para la tumba de su hija que había fallecido a corta edad. Su madre, quien quedó viuda, lo crio junto a su hermano mayor, José —n. 1933 y popularmente conocido como Pepe—.3 Ambos hermanos fueron matriculados en la escuela Sociedad Filantrópica del Guayas, pero Julio abandonó sus estudios en tercer grado por problemas de disciplina.10 3 Su primer contacto con la música fue a través de Ignacio Toapanta, un vecino que le dio lecciones de guitarra y le dejaba jugar con los instrumentos musicales.11 12
Cuando Pepe cumplió 15 años, ganó en un concurso radial cuyo premio era una presentación en un centro nocturno, y este hecho fue el inicio de su carrera artística. Pese a ello, Pepe fue disciplinado, terminó sus estudios y más tarde probó suerte en Colombia.13
Julio Jaramillo era hincha del Club Sport Emelec.

A pesar de su corta edad, dadas sus excepcionales dotes como niño actor y cantante, tuvo mucho éxito en las décadas de los 50 y los 60. Hizo películas en España y también en México. Entre las canciones que lo llevaron a la fama se encuentran El pastor, La malagueña, Granada de Agustín Lara, e incluso una que interpretó con la cantante argentina Libertad Lamarque. Algunos de estos estaban incluidos en sus películas.
Tras su paso por escenarios provinciales y la radio, descubierto por Luis Mariano (el "rey de la opereta") y llevado a Francia, tuvo su primera oportunidad en la pantalla grande en 1956, gracias a Antonio del Amo, quien le dio el papel protagonista en El pequeño ruiseñor, film modesto que alcanzó un gran éxito, lo lanzó como sucesor de Pablito Calvo y fue seguido de otros por el estilo: Saeta del ruiseñor, El ruiseñor de las cumbres, Escucha mi canción, etc.
Alternando cine y música, y con una peculiar voz conocida ya en Europa y allende los mares, con una excepcional maestría del género flamenco no obstante su corta edad, Joselito dio el salto al mercado hispanoamericano y protagonizó varios filmes en México.

José Jiménez Fernández, más conocido como "Joselito" fue un cantante y actor español, que alcanzó el éxito como niño prodigio bajo apodos como "El niño ruiseñor", "El niño de la voz de oro" y "El pequeño ruiseñor".
Nació el 11 de febrero de 1943 en Beas de Segura (Jaén). En algunas fuentes se cita 1947 como el año de su nacimiento debido al aspecto que presentaba en su primer filme, El pequeño ruiseñor (1956), más propio de un niño de nueve años que de trece. Su crecimiento había sufrido un considerable retraso y los estudios cinematográficos que producían sus películas quisieron hacerlo aparecer como un niño más pequeño de lo que realmente era.
A pesar de su corta edad, dadas sus excepcionales dotes como niño actor y cantante, tuvo mucho éxito en las décadas de los 50 y los 60. Hizo películas en España y también en México. Entre las canciones que lo llevaron a la fama se encuentran El pastor, La malagueña, Granada de Agustín Lara, e incluso una que interpretó con la cantante argentina Libertad Lamarque. Algunos de estos estaban incluidos en sus películas.
Tras su paso por escenarios provinciales y la radio, descubierto por Luis Mariano (el "rey de la opereta") y llevado a Francia, tuvo su primera oportunidad en la pantalla grande en 1956, gracias a Antonio del Amo, quien le dio el papel protagonista en El pequeño ruiseñor, film modesto que alcanzó un gran éxito, lo lanzó como sucesor de Pablito Calvo y fue seguido de otros por el estilo: Saeta del ruiseñor, El ruiseñor de las cumbres, Escucha mi canción, etc.
Alternando cine y música, y con una peculiar voz conocida ya en Europa y allende los mares, con una excepcional maestría del género flamenco no obstante su corta edad, Joselito dio el salto al mercado hispanoamericano y protagonizó varios filmes en México.

José Jiménez Fernández, más conocido como Joselito, nació el 11 de febrero de 1943 en Beas de Segura (Jaén), aunque ha pasado casi toda su vida en Utiel (Valencia). En algunas fuentes se dice que nació en 1947 ya que, debido a su escasa estatura, en su primera película, "El pequeño ruiseñor", de 1956, parecía más un niño de 9 años quede 13.
Joselito era el séptimo y último hijo de Petra Fernández y Baldomero Jiménez, un jornalero que se dejaba la vida en los olivares. La familia malvivía con lo mínimo hasta que el pequeño José descubrió que, con su prodigiosa voz, podía conseguir almendras, cacahuetes y algunos durillos de los clientes de las tabernas para los que cantaba fandanguillos al estilo de Marchena o de Mairena. "No tendría más de 5 años -recuerda el cantante- cuando me di cuenta de que cantando ganaba más que mi padre cavando olivos de sola sol".
En un viaje a Utiel junto a Baldomero, conoció por casualidad a Eloy Ballesteros, quien sería su mentor y un segundo padre para él. Joselito no tenía aún los 7 años pero a Ballesteros, que debía organizar un festival infantil, le hablaron de lo bien que el crío imitaba a Antonio Molina y a Angelillo y lo llamó. Al ver su aspecto desaliñado, con la camisa y los pantalones rotos, le regaló un traje y le invitó a pasar las fiestas con su familia.
El propio Ballesteros le contaba a Jaime Peñafiel en una entrevista de 1965 que "a los ocho días, se me presentó y me dijo: "Como usted me invitó, vengo para quedarme. El productor lo acogió en el seno de su familia con permiso de sus padres y lo matriculó en el colegio, pero la pasión de Joselito era cantar y su fama en Utiel ya hacía que lo reclamasen para todos los festivales. Estrellita Castro amadrinó su debut oficial y Luis Mariano quedó tan impactado por su voz que lo invitó a participar en un festival en París en el que cantó junto a Edith Piaf, Juliette Grecó y Maurice Chevalier, quien, impresionado, le dijo: "Joselito, eres muy pequeño, pero serás muy grande
