Many entrepreneurs try to raise money so that they can start their business. But it is very difficult to raise money when you start your business and most entrepreneurs never end up raising money. So their only choice to start their business is to bootstrap their business or startup. You do not have to bootstrap your business forever. Once you begin to get traction, you can raise money so that you can invest it into improving your product or growing your business. But when you start your business, the only option you have is often to do things on no budget, which is just another way of saying that you would be bootstrapping your business. Bootstrapping is an attitude and a way of doing things that will help you grow your business without having finances. With bootstrapping, you will grow and build your business no matter what kind of obstacles you will face. While some people will say that bootstrapping is more than just an attitude, for me, bootstrapping is all about the mental approach. If you can embody that mental can-do attitude and toughness, then you can bootstrap many different types of businesses. Of course, if you are trying to start a restaurant, you can't bootstrap that 100%. But you can do many things on your own to make it much cheaper, and get the right help.
