Celebrate Namaste Day (a.k.a. Namas-Day) Sunday at the J. It’s FREE
Love me some yoga. Love me some Aaron Family Jewish Community Center of Dallas (a.k.a. The J). Love me some instructor Debi Levy Rothschild. Love me some violinist Richmond Punch, who made one of Debi’s classes even more (if that’s possible) special last January. Click here to read all about it.
All this to say…The J is hosting a yoga festival from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the Leiberman Family Wellness Center, 7900 Northaven Road. And of COURSE you can do it, even if you have never even attempted downward dog (or even heard of it).
“Whether you’ve never experienced yoga or you’re a seasoned pro, this day is for everyone,” says Terri Arends, The J’s Group Fitness Director. “We like to say ‘grab a friend and find some zen.’ “
Here’s the yo-down. I mean rundown:
1 to 1:40 p.m.: Land class based on this Paddle Board Aqua Yoga class.
1:45 to 2:25 p.m. : Amy Harber leads Athletic Warrior Flow Yoga
2:30 to 3:15 p.m.: Debbi leads Gentle Spirited Yoga.
3:20 to 4 p.m.: Tanya Hardison leads Community Flow Yoga. This is where Richmond will play not only the violin, but also conga drums and gongs throughout the class.
Intrigued? Then R.S.V.P. to Terri at (214) 239-7137 or tarends@jccdallas.org. It’s free, but you need to reserve a space.
