Project:

Hi, we're 10:10

We bring people together to help tackle climate change

There's a cleaner, cleverer world taking shape, and everyone deserves a chance to help build it.

10:10 creates these chances, and brings people together to make the most of them.

What we do

We run positive, practical projects focused on tackling climate change at the community level, and turn these local actions into a force for bigger changes.

Our current projects are:

Solar Schools

Putting crowdfunded clean energy in classrooms all over the country. Since 2011, we've helped schools raise over £600,000 in community donations, and install over 1,000 solar panels.

How we work

10:10 aims to create a cultural and social context that fosters more ambitious climate action at every level of society.

For this to happen, we need to turn the current broad, shallow support for climate action into something deeper, better-connected, and more able to articulate itself socially and politically. In short, a true constituency for climate action.

We believe the best way to deepen commitment is through personal experience – the more sociable and hands-on the better. So 10:10 creates opportunities for ordinary people to take positive, practical action on climate change within a wider community.

10:10 alone can’t orchestrate this on a large scale. Our role is to champion promising ideas, proving that they can work in the real world, then publicising those success stories as widely as possible. By doing this we inspire others to emulate them, and help to create a wider public perception of enthusiasm, progress and possibility on climate change.

Our history

We were founded in 2009 by the team at Spanner Films following the release of their climate docu-drama The Age of Stupid. We've come a long way since. Read more about our history.
