This fairly new cottage is pleasantly situated between Penguin ( 2min) and Ulversone (5 min). The house excist of dining lounge and kitchen in one open area with electric cooking and fridge freezer. There are 2 bedrooms downstairs ,both with queen size beds. The bathroom has a shower ,basin and toilet. Upstairs has a double bed futton. The sheep make sure that the 7 acre property is always groomed. The local penguins can be vieuwed from the beach at the front of the house. There are appr.150 of them in the colony. The beach is a great spot to fossic for some rare gemstones. The seaside has a sand and a couple of gravel beaches.Fishing here is at its best with all the local species available, even abalone for the ones with a permit. Shopping can be done in Penguin or in Ulverstone (coles, woolworth, harris scarfe ).
Both Devonport and Bernie are only 10 minutes away.Restaurants are plentyfull within a 10 min drive.
Cradle Mountain is only a bit over an hour drive through some of tasmanias most spectacular landscapes .This would be a great place to start each day with a new adventure if it would be launceston, Tablecape, cradlemountain or even Straughn within reach for the day
For the kids we have plenty of space to kick a ball, swim or fish.
If there are any special wishes on the list , Jo our manager who looks after our property is more than welcome to assist you .

PerfectionAbsolutely beautiful cottage that we wished we could stay longer at. The cottage, along with the town of Penguin is every bit worth trip to Tassie. Thanks for hosting us!

Pretty settingWe enjoyed the area but I do not think the cottage lived up to expectations. There was only a bar fridge not a full size one, the driveway is terrible and the beds are uncomfortable.

Spectacular seaside sojournThe cottage is set high on a hillside of 7 acres with 180 degree views over Bass strait. It is very well equipped, with the exception of a laundry. The drive is steep and the gravel a little slippery, but well worth the effort. It was a perfect base to explore the North west coastal areas of Tasmania from. We didn't see Penguins on the gravelly beaches down the front, but did see lots of penguins at the Lillico Beach rookery. Wonderful. I would certainly stay again. Stay was January 2016 ( 2016 not yet an option in the drop down menu below) PS. There is cellophane and torches in the bottom drawer of the kitchen bench for Penguin watching.

Lovely spacious cottageLovely cottage - driveway was fine! Beds were comfy and the views amazing. We did manage to spot a few penguins but you have to be super quiet and patient! Thanks for sharing a piece of penguin.
