The Song of Moses in this article relates to the name sometimes given to the poem which appears in Deuteronomy 32:1–43 of the Hebrew Bible, written/orated just prior to Moses' death on Mount Nebo.
The Song is believed by some to have been written down and placed in the Ark of the Covenant at one time, along with Aaron's staff and the Ten Commandments.
According to Deuteronomy 31:16-18, God met with Moses and his nominated successor Joshua at the "tabernacle of meeting" and told them that after Moses' death, the people of Israel would renege on the covenant that God had made with them, and worship the gods of the lands they were occupying. God told Moses to write down the words of a song and teach it to the community, so that it would be a "witness for Me against the children of Israel" (Deuteronomy 31:19). Deuteronomy 31:22 states that Moses did as he had been instructed, and in Deuteronomy 31:30 he then "spoke in the hearing of all the assembly of Israel the words of this song until they were ended".
The Book of Deuteronomy (from Greek Δευτερονόμιον, Deuteronómion, "second law"; Hebrew: דְּבָרִים, Devārīm, "[spoken] words") is the fifth book of the Hebrew Bible, and of the Jewish Torah. The Hebrew title is taken from the opening phrase Eleh ha-devarim, "These are the words..."; the English title is from a Greek mistranslation of the Hebrew phrase mishneh ha-torah ha-zoth, "a copy of this law", in Deuteronomy 17:18, as to deuteronomion touto – "this second law".
The book consists of three sermons or speeches delivered to the Israelites by Moses on the plains of Moab, shortly before they enter the Promised Land. The first sermon recapitulates the forty years of wilderness wanderings which have led to this moment, and ends with an exhortation to observe the law (or teachings), later referred to as the Law of Moses; the second reminds the Israelites of the need for exclusive allegiance to one God and observance of the laws (or teachings) he has given them, on which their possession of the land depends; and the third offers the comfort that even should Israel prove unfaithful and so lose the land, with repentance all can be restored.

The Bible (from Koine Greek τὰ βιβλία, tà biblía, "the books") is a collection of texts sacred in Judaism and Christianity. It is a collection of scriptures written at different times by different authors in different locations. Jews and Christians consider the books of the Bible to be a product of divine inspiration or an authoritative record of the relationship between God and humans.
There is no single canonical "Bible"; many Bibles have evolved, with overlapping and diverging contents. The Christian Old Testament overlaps with the Hebrew Bible and the Greek Septuagint; the Hebrew Bible is known in Judaism as the Tanakh. The New Testament is a collection of writings by early Christians, consisting of narratives, letters and apocalyptic writings. Among Christian denominations there is some disagreement about the contents of the canon, primarily in the Apocrypha, a list of works that are regarded with varying levels of respect.
Attitudes towards the Bible also vary amongst Christian groups. Roman Catholics, Anglicans and Eastern Orthodox Christians stress the harmony and importance of the Bible and sacred tradition, while Protestant churches focus on the idea of sola scriptura, or scripture alone. This concept arose during the Protestant Reformation, and many denominations today continue to support the use of the Bible as the only source of Christian teaching.

Deuteronomy Chapter 32: 1Give ear, O ye heavens, and I will speak; and hear, O earth, the words of my mouth. 2My doctrine shall drop as the rain, my speech shall distil as the dew, as the small rain upon the tender herb, and as the showers upon the grass: 3Because I will publish the name of the LORD: ascribe ye greatness unto our God. 4He is the Rock, his work is perfect: for all his ways are judgment: a God of truth and without iniquity, just and right is he. 5They have corrupted themselves, their spot is not the spot of his children: they are a perverse and crooked generation. 6Do ye thus requite the LORD, O foolish people and unwise? is not he thy father that hath bought thee? hath he not made thee, and established thee? 7Remember the days of old, consider the years of many...
Part 1 contains verses 1-9 of Deuteronomy 32, a foundational chapter for understanding the purposes of God, the prophets and the destiny of Israel (and the nations) in these last days. This section climaxes with the verse that says that the nations themselves have been divided according to the number of the sons of Israel. (Part 1 is dedicated to the memory of Art Katz, whom I heard speak on Deuteronomy 32:8 many times). The video contains the lyrics, which are taken from Holy Scripture. 32 Listen, you heavens, and I will speak; hear, you earth, the words of my mouth. 2 Let my teaching fall like rain and my words descend like dew, like showers on new grass, like abundant rain on tender plants. 3 I will proclaim the name of the Lord. Oh, praise the greatness of our God! 4 He is the Rock, his works are perfect, and all his ways are just. A faithful God who does no wrong, upright and just is he. 5 They are corrupt and not his children; to their shame they are a warped and crooked generation. 6 Is this the way you repay the Lord, you foolish and unwise people? Is he not your Father, your Creator,[a] who made you and formed you? 7 Remember the days of old; consider the generations long past. Ask your father and he will tell you, yo...
Living to be 120 years old, the most productive time in Moses' life was his last forty years. As we near the end of Deuteronomy, we see how Moses continued to make a difference in his old age. In his final sermon to the Israelites, he emphasized the importance of committing God's Word to their hearts and minds. This teaching is from our series 05 Deuteronomy - 2015 with Skip Heitzig from Calvary Albuquerque.
There is something powerful about a song. It has a way of getting stuck in our mind and heart. That’s probably why Moses taught the people a song as part of the covenant renewal ceremony that he facilitated with the children of Israel before his death. He wanted to make sure that they would always remember who the Lord is – through a melody planted deep in their souls.
By applying the methods of textual criticism to this passage we can uncover the probable wording of the original text.

http://www.torahlife.tv This Torah Portion is The Song of Moses. Moses was not only a great prophet but also a song leader. After three sermons, he changed the form of his message to singing. Sometimes reciting something in a different form makes it easier to remember. This song gives a brief history of Israel. It reminds the people of their mistakes, warns them to avoid repetition of those mistakes, and offeres the hope that comes only in trusting Our Creator.

This song not only appears in Deuteronomy but in the book of Revelation chapter 15:2 -3 Those defeating the beast, its image and the number of its name were standing by the sea of glass, holding harps which God had given them. They were singing the song of Moses, the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb Jesus. We can see that even though this song had written in BC 1406, it covers the present and future of God’s plan. Glory be to Father’s Kingdom which is soon coming on the Earth.
Deuteronomy 32 :8 should read "according to the number of the sons of God."
Andrew and Megan sing a song that they wrote called "Deuteronomy 32." This song is based off of many of the verses in the chapter.
As human beings, there is something perverse in our nature that we enjoy payback, but vengeance is a temptation that we must give up to God. In a song to the Israelites, Moses advised them to let the Lord deal with those who hurt them and to choose forgiveness over vengeance. This teaching is from our series 05 Deuteronomy - 2015 with Skip Heitzig from Calvary Albuquerque.
